Pedersen Real Estate & Property Management

Pedersen Real Estate and Property Management recently purchased the apartment in which I am currently living. The residents were not informed how to make payments timely until after 5 p.m. the night before rent was due. As the buyer of the property, Pedersen Real Estate and Property Management had an obligation to research the tenants currently residing therein. They did not do so, and attempted to hold me to a lease that was already in the process of termination at the time of the sale. (My lease expires less than 30 days from the day of the sale.) I provided additional paperwork and documentation. I called the office today to inquire as to any questions that might be had about the papers/​documents. The woman who answered the phone picked it up, but was clearly on a cell phone at the same time. She finished her conversation with the person on the cell phone prior to saying «Hello» to me on the phone. When I asked her about the paperwork, she proceeded to tell me that she had not worked over the weekend, and did not know about paperwork. I explained that the paperwork was addressed to Morten Pedersen. She then said I would have to call back after 1 p.m. to speak with Mr. Pedersen, because he isn’t in the office. She said I would have to call back at that point. She would not take my name or number, but insisted that I call back after 1 p.m. Needless to say, this is a very frustrating experience, and I am grateful that I am moving, as I have very little faith in the professionalism or capability of this management company.
