Danny is awesome! He’s far surpassed kindness of any servicing I’ve ever had done on my home. He is extremely knowledgable! We called for our home warranty and they sent him out. I had actually forgot that my appt was scheduled and I was not home. I was taking my daughter to cheer. Danny was kind enough to wait 25 min for me to return home. When I returned he was in very high spirits and helped me fix my AC unit. He also informed my husband and I about the filters that we’ve been using. We had nooo idea we had a filter in the unit already while we’ve also put two in the home. He explain which options were most effective. He also fixed the Ac unit from a crazy loud noise it’s been making for awhile. He made an appt to come back the next day and was very effective. I don’t understand the bad reviews on this Unilocal site, as from what Me and my husband experienced with Danny he’s a very professional man!

Totally incompetent! Danny contradicted two other licensed contractors without any testing or adequate investigation, leaving a dangerous condition at our house. PG&E has since confirmed his incompetence. When I asked for clarification he hung up on me. The only reason Andy got one star was because it was the only way to write this review.

I have Fidelity Home Protection insurance purchased and they sent me Danny from MD Services for problem with my furnace’s «short cycles», which wasn’t correctly repaired by contactor –Danny, sent by Fidelity. After that visit I learned all I could(I an a mechanical engineer) on «youtube» about my furnace problems and did try to replace the thermostat on my 2-nd floor. That didn’t fix the problem, so I didn’t try to replace 1-st floor thermostat. Since I had no confidence whatsoever that MD services contractor Danny ever fix the furnace, who talked about everything but DIDNT bring clamp meter with him and replaced«limit switch» just by guessing. And most important he replaced that switch, which had max limit-160 degree F with 210 degree F!!! Its 40% higher and certainly would hurt the furnace and believe me I know what I am talking about. I made req. for manufacture authorized local dealer –Black Diamond’s service and I’ve heard form Mike, working for Black Diamond next day. He patiently spent 20 min with me trying to assist in possible problem and provided me with price for part/labor for each possibility. His price was 40% lower than I paid for my Reno townhouse furnace repair with similar trouble. After we tentatively scheduled an appointment, I decided to replace the 1-st floor thermostat, since Mike mentioned it by the one of main reasons for my trouble and it started work perfectly after I put a new one. So, Mike not only didn’t try to push in my throat their service, but actually helped me to save hundreds for next visit. I found it extremely rare in contractor’s world we are living in. How pathetic is it that this guy gets his friends to review him and call me out personally for my negative review. No, «Joe D,» he didn’t fix the problem. I had to have someone come out a few days later to fix what MD Services could not. To all of his friends who made up fake reviews to bring his average score higher, I appreciate honesty, I don’t appreciate jerks when there are plenty of better companies out there who can do the job and be professional.

I too have a fidelity home warranty, and my air conditioning repair request was sent over to MD Services. I think they’re great! Danny showed up to my house within the scheduled time frame, and did an awesome job. He replaced my thermostat, and had to climb up on the roof to do some repairs, while battling a nest of angry wasps! I appreciated his directness. Who knew you had to clean the filter once a month lol! He even gave me advice on how to cut down my energy costs. Overall, the guy knows his stuff, and does honest work. I will use his company again. The receptionist, Heidi, is very nice as well, even when I had a little tude while I was scheduling the appointment :) P. s. don’t tell Danny he looks like Jack Nicholson(even though he does). I don’t think he took it as a compliment(even though it was) lol…

Danny showed up at my house on time, they said between 9am and 11am he was here at 9:10AM. I was extremely happy with his services. Danny was very honest which was refreshing, I would highly recommend and MD services!

MD Services was amazing! Our service date was 11/20/2014 and our heating valve was turned off by another company(giving them a horrible review right after this). Our technician immediately found out what the problem was and fixed it. His customer service was great also. He gave my husband and I some friendly advice that we appreciated it. I guess it depends on a person’s personality if they are able to handle a person’s direct approach or not. We appreciated the small talk while our issue was being repaired. I highly recommend MD Services if you are looking for quality and honesty!

So, Craig P, did your AC get fixed? Sounds like it did, but you just didn’t like that the repairman wasn’t touchy feely and was very direct. Oh well, not everyone in today’s world can be touchy feely. People will complain just to hear themselves, you just forgot to mention the work was done. I used this company a few days back for my AC and they also were sent based on Fidelity vendors. They moved their schedule to accommodate me, came in and fixed the problem. They had gotten stuck on a prior job, but made sure they notified me in plenty of time which speaks volumes compared to other companies that are around. Danny was to the point and honest and that’s exactly what he needed to be. He was honest about our AC set up too, and I thanked him for it. I will use MD services hands down over any other company from this point on. I will also be contacting fidelity to let them know that this company should be used as the preferred vendor for any repairs that meet their scope. As for the negative review which was basically hurt feelings, it looks like the job was done and you just didn’t like the way someone broke down the truth. Everything can’t be lovey dovey, but your reviews should focus on the work that was done and the quality. That is what you called this company for wasn’t it? I know that’s what I called for.

MD services is great. They were referred to me by my home warranty. I had an air problem at a rental property during a heat wave. The real issue was my renter had a 2 week old infant so getting them cool air was a top priority for me. Even though every company was booked up until the following week the Owner Danny worked us into the schedule for the very next day. He ran behind on a previous job but had his receptionist call me well in advance to notify me. He also called again when he was 30 mins away. The communication and professionalism was oustanding. Once onsite he determined the issue was a broken thermostat. He quickly fixed the problem and called me personally to explain the problem as I had asked him to do. Often time the home warranty vendors leave without giving you an explanation and make you work through the home warranty. All in all he was very honest and I would highly recommend this company. I too am in the customer service industry so I hold vendors to high standards and he met them all. Thank you again MD Services. you rock!

It’s been a year since MD Services installed our new tankless water heater and energy efficient A/C and furnace and we couldn’t be happier. It’s always hard to tell if a company’s great service will continue once the job is done, so I wanted to write an update to let you all know how how happy we are with MD Services continued care and responsiveness. Last summer, during a HUGE heat wave, our A/C wasn’t getting as cold as we liked. We called them up and they came out the next day to check it out. I know they must have been really busy, it is usually impossible to get an A/C repair company to come out during a heat wave, but they didn’t hesitate. They quickly found and fixed the problem without issue and we were back to having a super cold A/C again! We were so relieved that after a year they still gave us the same high integrity and quality work that they did during the installation. To top it off, they also send me emails to remind me to change our filters. It is clear that they really care about their customers. Also, I don’t want to forget to mention that the energy efficient products they installed work BETTER than our old energy guzzlers AND cut our energy bill in HALF! They will end up paying for themselves in no time! After a year, we still couldn’t be happier with MD Services and the products they recommended.

This company has NO integrity. They were sent to me also through my home warranty … first they disrespected my initial time frame, but then through negligence did not replace a screw in my ceiling panel and I had to file claims with my insurance company, the contractors state license board and the Better Business Bureau. If you check BBB, they are rated subpar. Be careful who you let into your home, a word to the wise.

I was referred to MD Services by my home warranty service and was a bit skeptical. After reading their positive review on Unilocal I relaxed a bit. Once I spoke to their receptionist and made an appointment, which I was able to re-schedule with no problem, I started to become optimistic. When the friendly Tech came out and fixed my heater competently and within minutes I was completely impressed. Come to find out he’s the Owner! Turns out he’s a Jack of All Trades too as he was able to help me out with another totally unrelated issue I was having in my home. Talk about pride in your work. He went above and beyond the call of duty and was extremely helpful. I will continue to use and refer MD Services regardless of the home warranty. That level of customer service is hard to find these days. And very much appreciated — thank you MD Services!
