Rude, rude, rude! I don’t even care what the food taste like. Weary traveler, looking for a bite. No host when I walked in so went to counter and ordered. Tried to sit after getting my food and TOLD I COULDNOTSITANYWHEREINRESTAURANTAS I HADTAKEOUT. I had just bought the food there and the restaurant was no where near crowded… plenty of seats!

I like the atmosphere, booths and service! The food is okay and substantial. Hits the spot when you want more than an egg mcmuffin and need some table space and phone charging. The bloody maria is a good fit for Sunday breakfast between flights. Had it with the skillet eggs menu item and all were quite tasty. I always stop in when I am at BWI for my Southwest flights.

We’ve had good experiences here twice. basically the same menu as the freestanding Silver diners, including beer and wine. One of the better choices at BWI.

This is the best place when your at BWI. I almost always order the Rancheros as they are some of the best I have had and cannot get these back home. The service is usually great but occasional it can be backed up because of the flight schedules. They do good burgers as well and have a good beer selection.

A decent place to grab breakfast while waiting for your plane, but nothing remarkable. Sometimes there is a wait for a table, but the line tends to move quickly, and food comes out fast. Service is usually a bit slow beyond the basics– for example, if you’d like a drink refill. However, they have never messed up my breakfast, and everything is moderately priced. I’m sure I’ll be back the next time I have some time to kill at BWI and an urge for breakfast!

I know I shouldn’t have done it. But I did. I went to the Silver Diner at BWI. The menu cover has a very serious and professional looking chef on it… Ype. He says they have a Flexitarian menu. They should add quality. If I was Ype I would rush to have my name and face removed. Everytime I come here I am disappointed. Either the service or the food is sloppy. This morning lived up to that tradition. I know I shouldn’t have done it. But I did. I ordered the oatmeal and was delivered a steaming bowl of paste. The oatmeal at Hampton Inn is better. The service was friendly but confused. The woman next to me had to ask for her English muffin which was chilling on the shelf between the servers and the kitchen. So why do I come back to this place? The same question can be asked of people who continue to date abusers. Only a psychiatrist can tell.

My choice of seating and chose counter-top service. My server was quick and prompt, and for one of the first customers of the morning my food came out pretty quickly. I had a skillet breakfast, misnomer as it isn’t cooked in the skillet it is served in(fake skillet), so don’t expect the chared goodness you would get if it was really cooked in a skillet. The food was decent, but for a dish that is advertised as 3 eggs… there is no way unless they were pigeons or dove eggs… lol. also suppose to be bacon and sausage… but don’t expect a full serving of meat as there were a few pieces but not enough to make a single sausage link or slice of bacon. The dish was mostly potatoes. Decent coffee with a free refill. Definitely not the worst airport breakfast I’ve had, and far better than McDonald’s.

I had great service here! Bria was my server, and she’s great! I love the fact that this place is committed to fresh, local food. There are also some good vegetarian and vegan options. No GMOs. No trans fats. I’m really happy that they’re at BWI.

Waited for the hostess 5 minutes. She is walking guests to their table in slo mo. No hurry here at the airport. They are in their own world. Then she asked me if I had 45 minutes to get in and out. «I only want a cup of coffee and an egg.» Doesn’t matter. Do they know they are in an airport?

When I want to eat something good, not fast food at BWI, this is the place I go. This is not your typical short-order diner. They serve breakfast all day, they have a full bar, they make excellent shakes and offer many healthy and gluten free options. My last visit, I had a Nutella banana shake and a tomato-mozzarella sandwich:(fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, romaine, basil pine nut pesto, balsamic drizzle, roasted red pepper, ciabatta.) very fresh and delicious!

Back on the road again and needing breakfast before the flight. So I have eaten at this location before but this morning they showed what they are made of. They tout themselves as a Diner! So how do you not know how to make simple Poached Eggs? Wait I know the answer according to the manager«I only have two burners on the stove and I am cooking on the grille». SAYWHAT! I don’t think so cowboys and girls, I over heard the server tell the cooks what I wanted the second time and they all looked like deer in headlights and then acted like this was a foreign cooking process. So in short this was not a good idea, how do you run a business in a busy airport on a two burner stove? If you got a grill(flat top) put a soup holding pot on the grill set up the water to poach the eggs«Problem Solved». But Wait! You first need to know how to do this so in this instance stick with what you know«Omelets, and Fried Eggs». Leave the hard cooking methods to us home cooks! One last word on this — don’t ask for guacamole because they only know it as the mashed up Avocados. Just saying you’ve been warned.

Like most reviewers have mentioned– it’s a decent place for a meal if you have at least 45 mins before your flight. I appreciated all the healthier options and was impressed with their lemon salmon with quinoa and a small salad. It wasn’t the most amazing salmon ever– but it was definitely better than expected for a diner type place. BF got the bison burger which he also liked as well. I would stop by if you’re wanting a more sit down experience and don’t wanna stand in line for chipotle or some of the more fast food options. And again– I appreciated their extensive menu and especially with healthy lighter options!

Decent place in an airport. Food comes out slow though, so if you’re in a hurry, than don’t eat here. The food was just average or below. My baja fish tacos were not very good. The salad had too much dressing and was overly sweet. The burger was okay. Nothing special. Our waiter John was super nice and attentive.

Like most I fear the airport diner for the most part, but I needed lunch /dinner and I am done with fast food. Furthering my doubts are claims of freshness and such. Lastly the expectation of significant over price is always present. All my fears were alleviated during my visit to the Silver Diner at BWI The food was really good. I got the Baja Fish Tacos: they were delicious. I had the fried white fish to be safe and truly enjoyed! The side summer salad was also good but I could tell the mango had been frozen. The price came to 12.18 for one Person but it was plenty of good and a decent value The service was good… need to bring the check quicker at an airport restaurant but I had plenty of time. The service was polite and friendly Overall I recommend and will stop again

I haven’t ever reviewed an airport layover meal before, but a few things stuck out about Silver Diner for an airport restaurant, primarily their menu. When I have a longer layover I really like to find a sit down option instead of ordering at a counter. As tempting as the three crab cake places were, I also wanted something a little lighter than a fried ball of fish. My overall experience with Silver Diner server would probably be a three star but I was very impressed with the extensive menu. They claim to source local ingredients for their menu and had a surprising amount of vegetable heavy dishes like Brussels sprouts and portobellos. Along with a vegetarian page and a vegan section, they had a healthy option page with meals below a certain calorie count such as fish tacos and although I usually don’t end up ordering off of those sections… I still love when they’re included. They have breakfast served all day and the kids menu includes quinoa pancakes? Overall I am impressed with the dining options at BWI and if you have the time I recommend checking out the Silver Diner, they even have crab cakes on the menu!

Silver Diner is a sit-down place in BWI, that is right on the corner of the atrium connecting the A-D gates. I was coming from A to B with an hour layover and popped in for a bite to eat. I recall eating here a few years ago, but nothing made a signficant impression. I noticed today that their menu was very different — it proudly boasts a flexitarian angle, which made this flexitarian quite happy. There were plenty of vegetarian and even a couple vegan options! For those with specific diets, this is a godsend for airport food. The food was good, albeit my dish took a while to come out. I ended up having to wolf down my crab cakes, which really were not that great compared to the crab cakes at the Obrycki’s down in the B gate. Which was disappointing since I try to snag crab cakes whenever I have time for a decent meal in the Baltimore airport. I liked the diner vibe, complete with juke boxes at every tables for diners to make the music selection. This did lead to some questionable tunes, as this was the first time I experienced listening to the Scooby Doo theme song whilst eating. Minus the wolfing down lunch, it’s a decent place to stop for food if you’ve got some time and are tired of fast food options.

This is 4 star place for an airport, but would be 3 stars anywhere else. It’s got a nice interior with booths that you can sit at and hole up in a way that feels comforting despite being in an airport. The food is also fine and they have good milkshakes a few local beers on tap. If you find yourself with an extra hour at BWI, come in, grab a burger and relax.
