The food here is pretty good, but the service is consistently horrible. Every time I go in there I am made to feel like they are doing me a favor by waiting on me. It takes a long time to get seated, and since they don’t regularly clear the tables from previous customers, the available table choices are slim. We normally get shoved in an awkward corner or way in the back half of the restaurant behind the restrooms. And the service once you get seated isn’t much better. Takes forever to get your food. You never get your drinks refilled. You have to flag down the wait staff to get your check. If you want take out, the food is ok. The milkshakes are good too. But don’t bother going in to eat in the restaurant.

Ok so I’m new to Maryland and was in dire need of a burger. Pulled up Unilocal to find a place near the Annapolis Mall and found Cheeburger Cheeburger. The inside is pretty retro. Reminds of Andy’s Cheeseburger and Cheesesteak in NC. They do have meals set up but that’s not what you come to Cheeburger for. You come to «Invent your Cheeburger». I invented a medium«The Serious Burger» which is 10 ounces at the price of $ 8.79 with lettuce, tomato, American cheese, buffalo sauce and sautéed mushrooms. The mushrooms are an extra $ 1.25. I then ordered a small basket of fries for $ 3.89 and asked them to put half the basket on my burger. I, also purchased a regular drink for $ 2.59. So I spent a total of $ 17.51 for a burger with fries and a drink. The burger is actually very good. I quite enjoyed it and it filled me up but the only reason why I would go back is for the fries. The fries are pretty darn amazing. They are cooked in peanut oil and it just makes them taste so spectacular. At first thought I want to give this a 3 star because of the price but you do get to invent your burger and platter and the fries are just great. So I will give it a 4 star. All in all if you have the $ 20 and want to try something then check this place out at least once.

So glad to find this place still exists! You can’t beat the cheesy 50s retro décor: pink neon, classic tunes, and metal & leather chairs. Their burgers are just ok in my opinion. I usually order mine medium-rare, but they only cook them medium to well so my burger was pretty dry. Still, it’s worth coming for the sides and shakes alone. The onion rings are cut and cooked perfectly – not thick and flabby but thin and crisp. All the shakes are seriously good, but my favorite has to be the Bananas Foster. I never leave without one!

Delicious mushroom vegetarian«burger». Old fashioned style milkshakes. Nice waitstaff. Yay! I’m a fan.

Burger was perfect and juicy. They have mastered the bread to beef combination and the toppings are fresh. One of the best burger joints in the area. The service was quick and helpful. I will be back soon.

I do love this place… it has great burgers and shakes. Unfortunately I can no longer be a customer here as they use peanut oil to fry everything and the essence of peanut probably permeates everything. The reason for this is I have a child with a severe peanut allergy. I know peanut oil has a high smoke point which provides good reuse of the oil and more efficient crisping but with so many places now veering away from it due to the increase in peanut allergies across the entire population and the exorbitant cost of peanut oil… I can hope that one day that they switch over and I can bring my son for a burger, fries and shake.

This burger place is amazing! I came with my family and we each had burgers, semi– serious to delerious sizes. The toppings were fresh and delicious, wayyy better than other restaurants aka Red Robin. Just seemed more fresh and better quality. Will definitely return!

1 burger, 2 burger cheeburger, or a malt chocolate shake oh, I adore! This place is good, bordering great! Solid«build your own burger and fries,» where you will walk out wobbling because of the enormity of the portions. HUGE… and I mean HUGE appetizer portions and the loaded fries, really ARE loaded… with cheese and chili and sour cream and jalapeño rings, oh my! Don’t come here thinking that the half pound burger equals that double quarter pounder that you get from McDonalds. I ALMOST regretted getting the half pound Serious Burger. The fried artichoke hearts were my favorite! Juicy, slightly tart, and delicious! And lastly, the milkshakes… There has to be at least one bad thing for this to be a fair 3 star review. I took off a star for my husband’s medicine-tasting watermelon milkshake. It was just not good. Despite the minor«bleh» from the milkshake, I have decided that this is my new burger place in Annapolis… unless I mean to have a beer w/my burger. In that case, I’d opt for Gordon Biersche in the next plaza over. It’s definitely worth a visit. If not for the burgers, just for the kitschy nostalgia of a 70’s burger and malt joint. Do it!

Where do I begin? At the beginning, yeah that’s good. When we walked through the door for the very 1st time we were not greeted at all. My daughter and I stood there for a few minutes and I finally asked the young lady behind the counter if we should seat ourselves. The pretty brunette came from behind the counter and directed us to a seat directly in the sun. Really??? There’s only the two of us and one other person in the restaurant and you by-past the shady side for the sun. Needless to say, it all went completely down hill from here. Our waiter, Luis was the pits. When ordering he asked us several times if we were sure we wanted what we requested. I told my daughter, «dang, he makes me feel uncertain about my choices.» The staff stand around and literally chit-chat, gossip and play silly games. I felt like I was really in a scene from happy days and was patiently awaiting Fonzie’s entrance. The older gentleman asked me, «how are we doing?» I sadly replied, «fine.» Just didn’t feel like complaining. The food, minus the chicken fingers, was greasy and tasteless. I only ate 2 fries out of my basket and we took it out of the store and threw it in the trash outside, because I was too embarrassed to send it back to the kitchen. But the burger — yuck, my daughters chicken breast — yuck yuck, the onion rings — yuck, yuck, yuck! Yuck! $ 43.00 wasted bucks on tasteless food and tasteless service. We are not even going to discuss the disparity of treatment that both my daughter and I felt and observed from the staff. And by the way, Luis left in the middle of the shift and never let us know. After sitting unattended for 20 minutes, I finally got up and demanded the check.. It’s too bad in this time of racial tension and disparity, that you can’t go into a restaurant and be treated fairly. Soo sad. I will never again take the hike from DC to Annapolis to eat at cheeburger cheeburger again. P. S. The girl behind the counter was eating food and serving customers. Yuck!!!

Milkshakes are amazing and worth every penny. I always go with the half and regret it. Need to have a size between the whole one and the half. Millions of different combinations and I haven’t gone wrong yet. Doubt its good for my waist line but I’ll take my chances!

Decided to go here today for lunch. I had not been in ages. I ordered a semi burger well and carlos ordered a series med I call it mooing lol. Anyway our server was Monica and she was very friendly. Well they gave me my burger and it was not done :(No fear Monica took it back and they retired me a new on that was perfect. So if you want a friendly staff and good place for lunch I recommend this place.

Loaded fries — the French fries itself had great flavor. Bacon was perfect. But, they put crappy nacho cheese on the loaded fries! This dish could easily go from«meh» to «wow» if they would just use real cheese and pop it in the oven! Burger with bacon and cheddar — ordered medium and got medium. Yay! Lots of establishments won’t give it to you pink no matter how you order! But, the bun was cold and the meat had no flavor. No salt, no pepper, no seasoning at all. All in all… just an average burger. Very mediocre meal for $ 18.31, drink included.

I’ve been a huge fan of Saturday Night Live since a child and back in the day(actually before my time) they had a skit where 3 guys worked in a diner that only sold cheeseburgers and cokes. They would yell, «Cheeseburger…Cheeseburger» the entire skit. Even though they had a menu with several options, they only sold cheeseburgers and cokes. Don’t even think about ordering a regular hamburger… not gonna happen. Dan Akroid and Jim Belushi were the main characters and they spoke with thick accents and were pretty abrupt. Funny skit. Anyway, that leads me to this restaurant named after what I think is the SNL skit. Unlike the skit, you can get more than cheeseburgers and cokes. They offer salads, sandwiches and a huge variety of milkshakes/malts. The restaurant has a diner vibe, without the long counter and stools and jukeboxes at every table. Music from the 50’s and 60’s playing throughout. Actually, this place could stand to be a bit bigger and could use some updating. Sort of divey in my opinion. I don’t see a big crowd being able to be accommodated here. The burgers though are AHH-MAZING!!! Seasoned to perfection, cooked well and plenty of free toppings to pile your burger high as the sky. CC offers several size burgers you can order and they of course have fries. They even have a 20 oz burger… WHAT??? I walked on the wild side and loaded my fries with cheese, jalapeño peppers and bacon. One word to describe them… DELICIOUS! I will be back to get another burger and to try one of the numerous shakes. A really great place for burgers and fries!

After being sat immediately and looking at the menu, I was pretty excited to try this place. Unfortunately, there was no service. Not slow service… no service. The couple of teenage girls were just sort of walking around. I can’t actually rate the food since we just got up and left.

Very nice place. Takes you back to the old burger joints in the 50’s. Burgers were cooked to order and very juicy. Shakes were amazing! The fries and cheese sauce made them even better. Loved how the drinks came in a mason jar, nice touch!

After a long day at the office sustaining myself on coffee and stress, I stopped in for a quick meal between after work errands. Thinking I had time to eat in the restaurant, I ordered and paid my check straight away. As I sat there for the next 20 minutes with an empty iced tea for 10 of it, I started to get agitated. I asked the server to switch my order from eat in to take away and finally, 25 min after ordering I had my food, That alone was pretty unacceptable to me. I finish my last errand and make it home to eat and then the disappointment went so much deeper. I ordered a burger and fries and the fries were ok, a little light on the toppings I had ordered, but not too terrible. The burger was a disaster. The toppings I had ordered were wrong, confusing pickles for pineapples, I don’t think there was cheese on it as I ordered, and just a HUGELY disproportionate amount of grilled onions, like, to the point that there were more onions than meat on their burgers. Speaking of meat, I had ordered the burger medium well and the patty was beyond well done. It was basically a barely edible hockey puck as solidly grey as my disappointment in the meal overall. So after a long day without enough time to even grab a bite to eat, I have one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a very long time. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and will never go back myself.

Tasty burger with lots o’ toppings! I wish the burgers came standard with fries, but not here. They have really big burgers — with options for up to a pound. Word to the wise, don’t sit facing the wall with the pictures of all the big guys that at a full-pounder. It kinda made me feel sick just thinking about it throughout the meal. Didn’t get a milkshake, though, like everyone says, the milkshake menu is ridick-long, but I did get an egg cream, which is sorta a throw-classic. It was yum!

I think I’ve just dined here for the very last time. I hadn’t been here in a year and I thought I’d have a good experience. But I didn’t. As I walked up to the glass door I could see finger prints and smudges from what seemed like a weekend of activity. As I looked at the tables open I saw several in all matter of partial or no clean up. I was seated and waited about 5 minutes for a waitress to arrive. I ordered my beverage and meal(burger and fries). After she brought the beverage I watched as she stood around and chatted with her co workers. Several minutes later a basket of fries arrived. I had to ask for a knife and fork. The waitress(Christy) didn’t properly hand them to me or put on a napkin she dropped them right on top of the fries. I didn’t see my burger anywhere near ready and I didn’t want my fries as an appetizer so I was miffed. As soon as I started on the fries I was very disappointed that they were cold. I asked for some hot fries and they said no problem, but then my burger arrived. The burger was decent, the roll was very bland. I was almost finished with my burger when the hot fries arrived. Too late. I asked them to be taken off my tab. Interesting that during my meal I noticed a waiter leave his service area to walk across the parking lot to another restaurant and return with two large beverages. As he walked by my table he said«Cokes» as I looked his way. You see Cheeburger Cheeburger only serves Pepsi. This place used to be pretty good. They have gone downhill. Young servers that don’t have the desire or knowledge to serve. My waitress was very timid and shy and seemed scared to engage the customer. The owner/manager is ever present but not leading by example. Also Im not sure about this, but I believe the ketchup bottles may be watered down. I have never seen or tasted ketchup like the have in this place. This place needs a makeover and new staff.

It’s a good burger and shake joint. You can tell what you’re going to get just by looking in the window. This is a family friendly burger joint with good milkshakes. The service was good and the food arrived quickly. This restaurant posts great deals on Groupon so it is a great value. I would highly recommend a Reese’s peanut butter cup milkshake made with chocolate ice cream.

We love this place! They ahve wholesome food, kid friendly atmosphere, great prices, and any kind of shake or malt you can imagine! We will be going again and again. I always get the veggie burger which is delicious here, and hubby and I split a half and half onion rings/fries. Now that my son eats fries and real food, he is also a fan of fries and burgers!
