I tried the restaurant because it was next to the crown plaza where I was staying. The good news is I won’t be a regular as I am from out of town. The wings were terrible. I know it’s a sports bar so they have to have wings but why bother when there is no effort to even make them edible. They are soggy and have some sauce thrown on top to add flavor.

Got here at 9:15 pm on a Saturday night and the place was pretty empty. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes for a Server, then went to the Hostess to see what’s up. About 5 minutes later a Waitress arrived to take our order. We both ordered the Fish ‘n Chips. But only one was delivered. Possibly the combination of 5 different programs playing on the 15-plus TVs, she didn’t hear our order. The food was good(a little too much Old Bay on the fish).

I’m sorry because I have had great service in the past but it is lacking now. There are some originals like Lara and Renee that provide great service but the rest suffer from poor management. We have been sat near the back twice in the past month without a server coming by for at least 15 minutes. The first time a guy I call Fabio wandered by and honored us with his uninspired service. He rather stand up front chatting with the girls. The worse. Monday we were sat in the back again and one waitress went by us numerous times without any acknowledgement. We finally asked if it was her section and she said no and would go get our server. We saw her walk over to another server and after a brief chat it was apparent the other server was not coming over. It looked like she was throwing a fit because she may have to take another table. We left. I chalk it up to poor management because a year ago things were top notch. They have a young manager there now that is not managing at all. There are other options in Annapolis. Explore them.

This is such a cool sports bar! The walls are lined with big flat screen TVs but, if that’s not enough, each booth has a personal TV. We came here to watch a Miami Heat game so the personal TV thing was a huge plus, seeing as the bigger tvs were playing local sports. Food was what you’d expect from a sports bar. My boyfriend and I ordered wings and ceaser salads and our friend ordered a burger. No complaints about the quality of the food. The selection of beer is also pretty great here. As far as service is concerned, our waiter was very nice and attentive but slowwww and a little bit forgetful. This could have very well been the case because it was a Monday night(and it looked as if he and one other waiter were the only ones on the floor that night). Not a big deal, we were there to watch an entire basketball game and there really was no rush. Overall, the Greene turtle is a nice, clean restaurant and I will definitely be back(:

Very slow table service, was not busy on a Tuesday night and took well over a hour to get drinks and food. A good place to watch sports just don’t go if you are in a rush.

Great atmosphere for sports! The staff had a great attitude. But as for the food. I had the fish and chips, it didn’t taste fresh. Tasted of old recycled grease. My friend returned her fried chicken wings 3x’s for being chewy and lightly fried, the color was pale instead of golden. Don’t think I’ll go back for the food.

This one is just like all the others. Service is crap, the food taste like crap, the beer selection is ok. If you’re going out to drink and socialize with friends this place is ok… Only if you can sit outside though. When you buy the food, you’re paying premium prices for a pre made burger with a side of it’s going to take forever to get it to you. Crab cakes suck too.

I came in for lunch. I was staying at the crown plaza right next door and needed a quick and easy meal close by. The green turtle was a closest place so I walked on over with a few friends. Evidently someone didn’t come in be issue there wasn’t anyone at the hostess table to great and seat us. After a couple minutes a waiter came over and we got a table. He was less than thrilled to be at work based on his own statements. Service was still ok he kept or drinks filled and table clean. I ordered off the lunch menu. A chicken cheese steak and cup of French onion soup. The food was good and the price was great. Over all good value and if I am in the area I would stop by again.

Disappointing. The only good thing about the experience was the free Veteran’s Day meal. The food was so-so, par for the course for these types of casual dining. The service was disinterested(the waiter) or annoyed(the girl who brought the plates). Took about 40 minutes to get food and the place was not full. The table was in a weird location, right at the retractable wall/door combo that separated the party room, so people kept coming and going and sort of had to work around our table… kind of annoying. Greene Turtle — you need to up your game. This location and the Waugh Chapel one have both not impressed. Strike three and you’re out. Hope Glen Burnie, which was good on our first visit, can win us back over.

I have not walked out of a restaurant for a very long time. However, we did tonight. 20 minutes is just too long to wait for a server to greet us, ask want we want to drink, or just acknowledge that we were seated in their section.

Food and service were very good. My server, Amber, did a great job. The burger was very nice. It was cooked perfectly.

Honestly, this is a typical sports bar, with nothing to write home about. It is a great location for watching sports, no doubt. Plenty of flat screens to have various games on at the same time. Food is not spectacular, but works as bar foods are concerned.

This is an acceptable location as far as Greene Turtles go. The limited staff interaction I had was friendly and courteous, the food came out quickly and to their standards, and the waitress was very patient and attentive. There’s really not much else to say, Greene Turtles all pretty much run the same as far as food and atmosphere goes, the only variation typically being the service. I have no complaints here. I’d visit again if the option was presented.

When I worked in Towson, there was a Green Turtle I generally avoided, being that it was pretty high on the meh scale, and service was hit or miss. I recently went to the Annapolis location for the first time, during a post-meeting March Madness gathering with associates from all over the state. And it was okay. Service okay. Beer selection, underwhelming but overall okay for a chain. My chicken Chesapeake sammich, okay. The biggest failure was their TV program selection, which included a TV with a sports talk show(with no sound), and another with college wrestling on! Uhhhh… it happens to be March Madness, ye know?!

I sure as hell don’t agree with some of the reviews of this place regarding the service. I came here twice within the past two weeks for Ravens playoff games and frankly what I witnessed was some of the most hardworking servers and bartenders I’ve ever seen! Imagine trying to serve a table that’s in the middle of 50 standing people. Or bartenders that have to make or pour 25 or more drinks within a few minutes. That sucks in my book… That had great bar specials for the game. $ 3.50 for a 22 oz pint of domestic beer. Not to shabby for a Saturday afternoon. Admittedly, the wings are mediocre tasting. But I have enjoyed the burgers and the shrimp with bleu cheese crumpled salad in previous visits. I consider these types of establishments fun places to grab a few drinks and decent bar food, not fine dining or to be waited on hand and foot! Green turtle is one of the better sports bars in Annapolis in my humble opinion.

This place was great I actually went to 2 different Green Turtles when I was in town — this one in particular was on a SUnday night after alot of football was over but the staff on hand were in good spirits and still serving the small number of patrons on hand At this particular location I didnt have any of the food just stopped in for a beer for a quick moment to meet up with people before calling it a night Bar tender on hand gave great good service even for the breif moment I was in there All in all a good experience — great place to take a number of people when major sports games are on with all the TVs

Okay Raul, if you must insist that we’re the only two Asian people that come here, I must dock you one star for that. But thanks for telling us that it was great having us last weekend. Hahaha! I do like this place for really chill Jason Mraz-ish music on the weekends. The vibe is good at the bar outside and who doesn’t like al fresco dining, right? My only wish is for this place to get with the other Green Turtles and start showing UFC fights. C’mon guys, get with the program. I don’t want to have to go to BWWs and eat lame chicken wings, when I can just come there and have some of your delicious buffalo chicken sandwiches the next time Ronda Rousey TKO’s someone in 16 seconds!

I came here with my daughter for Mommy-Daughter date night! It was her choice of course. For the most part everything was good, my daughter had pizza! She enjoyed it and I had jerk chicken skewers! They were grilled skewers and according to the waitress, they are marinated for 24 hours and then grilled. They were not too spicy, but had tons of rosemary on them. They were good for the most part. Our server, Stephanie was awesome. However, there was a group at the bar who must have been feeling it because there was a lot of loud cursing in the bar area. We weren’t that far from the bar. But there were tvs on the tables, so we were able to tune them out. They even had Nickelodeon, so my little one was happy!

Ok for the record, i’ll admit it’s probably not a good idea to go to any sit down type restaurant when you’re starving to the point of almost passing out. But hey its a Sports Bar on a late night hump day, the wait shouldn’t be that crazy. OHHOWWRONG… I’ve been to this specific location during NFL Sunday(with a Redskins game going on so you know it’s extremely packed) and had my sandwich within 10 minutes TOPS. My mom and I were starving and with it being around 10:30ish on a Tuesday night we figured the wait shouldn’t be too long. Yep, we were about as wrong as faux fur in the summer. After nearly seating ourselves we order a salad, burger and steamed mussels. It took 45 Minutes!!! I was pretty sure they went to gather and slaughter the cow themselves. The food itself was good but there is no reason for that kind of wait time and it was really a turnoff all together.

Mediocre is the only word that keeps coming to mind thinking about this Greene Turtle and my last experience I shared here. I came after work for happy hour and to catch the O’s game while enjoying the weather on the bar/patio area. Everything would have been fine, if the dinner rush was not manned by a single employee who had to juggle between 5 tables and walkins. Without interjection from her management, she had left several tables drink /foodless through shift changes causing many parties to become obset. I understand it is not her fault, but once her additional coverage came, it took my meal well over 45 minutes to actually become severed. After mentioning the lack of food I had, the order came out in less than 3 minute, but this shouldn’t have ever occurred. I won’t begin to rant about the process I faced when ordering a drink that night… Complaining to management, similar to most of the tabled parties around me, was a short an easy process which he proceeded to rectify using a free beverage and coupon for my next visit — too bad there may not be one anytime soon… 2 Stars there are a lot better locations within driving distance, and better places in the local vicinity too!
