I have been taking my vehicles to VCR for the last 30 years and have always received excellent service. VCR specializes in higher end vehicles and always goes the extra effort in terms of quality. If you are looking for the cheapest shop — you need to go elsewhere.

Gave me a quote $ 5,000 over the other quotes I received. Didn’t bother to consider ways to make the job cheaper. He just charged me for all brand new parts. This review is less about their work and more about their customer service.
My advice, never go there without getting at least 2 other quotes

I was a third time customer 2 weeks ago at VCR, owned by Steven Cho. I am no longer a customer.
I took my BMW X3 to have the front clip repainted as I had some chips from freeway driving. I paid just under $ 1,700.00. The paint looks great. Problem is I received my car with soaking wet carpet on the driver side. So bad that I ended up taking it to the local BMW dealer to have it looked at and dried out. This took 4 days and $$s. In addition to the water I also have a new approx 2.5″ long vertical scratch on my front passenger door. It goes down to the door panel and the entire door will now have to be redone. I pointed this scratch out to his secretary and a technician at pick up. They both said that it would be no problem to fix the door, at their cost, and would take just a day. I noticed a mildew smell in the car on oick up but thought it must be a ‘garage’ smell. I had no idea there was water in my car.
I approached Steven Cho on the phone as soon as I discovered the water and within 4 hours of picking up my car from his business. Mr. Cho accused me 3x in our telephone call of breaking a bottle of water in my car. I asked him how the water got into my car (He had it for almost a week and during that time it rained heavily in Ann Arbor). His response was for ‘me to tell him. ’ He was equally rude when I addressed the issue of the new big scratch on my door. He said I needed t show it had not been there at drop off. And on, and on, and on. His sarcasm was stunning.
I do not take attacks on my character lightly. I personally let him know how I felt about his crappy attitude. I think he is a merchant to be avoided. I don’t care how good the workmanship is — Steven Cho’s poor character and bad attitude are enough for me to say this: AVOID VCR AND STEVEN CHO. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE.
