Simply the best Gelato outside of Italy, Fantastic food as well. I was very surprised to find myself loving the food as much as the over 20 flavorers of Gelato. With it’s unique menu that has a wide range of foods that have a distinctly european twist, including Sweet and savory Crepes, Panini’s and salads. And the drinks don’t forget the drinks– espresso, cappuccino’s latte’s and delicious smoothies. With an outside fire pit in the newly renovated court yard its the perfect afternoon or evening escape.

The coffee is out of this world. It’s got a rich, bold flavor that somehow doesn’t have a hint of bitterness. The crepes are really good too. They keep the place spotlessly clean, and there’s some outdoor seating in the courtyard that’s shielded from the hustle and bustle of downtown. From Main Street, just walk between dunks and the liquor store and it’s on the right.

If it wasn’t for the food I don’t necessarily know if I’d come back! The gelato, crepes, and smoothies are delicious but the service isn’t nearly up to the quality of the food. My wife and I have been in 2 or 3 times and both times we ordered crepes and either she gets hers first or I get mine but then we wait a good ten to fifteen minutes for the next. And when I ask about the other the answer is points to the line and says sorry with an attitude. And I needed to tell the gentleman taking my order 3 times what my order was Again, food is great and the service needs some help!

A hidden gem in downtown Andover… just FYI it may be a little tricky to find so you want to enter through the archway in the middle of the brick building on Main Street that houses the Dunkin Donuts and UBurger. Inside there is a courtyard area, and Mr. Gelato is on the right. I was there yesterday with my Meetup group after enjoying a hike at Phillip’s Academy, and everyone was really happy with their gelato! Service is fast and friendly. I had the pistachio gelato which was a nice treat after an hour’s hike and walk into downtown Andover. Will definitely be back, perhaps to try to crepes next time.

Love this place! A nice little café right in the heart of Andover. Their gelato is delicious — my personal favorite is the chocolate with chocolate sprinkles. I’ve had the Nutella and banana crêpe before and it was awesome — a must try. And to top it all off, the owner is the friendliest local around, always greeting you with a smile and welcoming you in.

Cute little spot in downtown Andover. Had a nice selection of sweet and savory crepes as well as gelato and coffee. The atmosphere was really nice. Prices were a bit on the higher side(around $ 10 for the crepes, a bit more for the savory ones)

We went for a yummy dessert after having dinner somewhere else. Cozy & romantic, perfect crêpe & cappuccino that hit the spot! Go with your honey, a pal… or solo! It’s such a great addition to Andover & I hope it’s here for a long time!

We were surprised by the quality and taste. We had a European chickpea soup with turkey sausage, a savory crêpe and a nutella banana crêpe, everything we tried was amazingly good. Lots of people came to get gelato i am sure they are great as well but this place is definitely a hidden gem!

I came here for desert after a late lunch with a friend. We actually weren’t planning on getting any since we were full but once we saw the gelato sign we had our minds set. I bought two of the carrot cakes, one to eat there and one to go(I have thing for carrot cakes) and my friend got the cookies and cream gelato. After sampling probably 6 flavors she almost couldn’t make up her mind since they were so good. My carrot cake was good but I definitely loved the gelato! The texture and flavor was amazing. I could taste the sweet goodness in every bite. I basically ate most of my friend’s gelato. Whoops! Considering their small size was pretty generous I didn’t feel too bad hehe. I have a pretty good feeling that this is going to be my go-to place for gelato.

Awesome addition to downtown Andover, have only tried the gelato and the coffee but both were top notch. Outside there are tables with seat heaters, and a roaring gas fireplace.

The espresso, deserts and smoothies are all I have had so far but I get them often. Top notch quality, great employees and the owner is wonderful as well. I highly recommend the espresso drinks. I am a nut about coffee and the espresso here can turn even the worst of days around for me haha… and let’s not even start the poem I could write about the tiramisu! I am hearing fantastic stuff about the crepes as well… that’s next on my list from this place for sure!

I haven’t tried the coffee, crepes or other menu items… but the quality of the gelato and the lovely outdoor seating options earn this place 5 stars. And real glasses for water. Welcome to Andover!

Dropped by for a coffee treat after running some errands at the next door Andover Bookstore. While I didn’t have time for gelato, and it looked amazing, I did have time for a well crafted iced mocha latte. Perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Give this place a try, lovely setting both inside and out and a well cared for interior. Tempted to come back soon to work while sipping coffee.

I didn’t drink the Lavazza coffee products. I didn’t nibble the crepes. Based solely on the overflowing scoop(read: 3+ mini scoops) of pistachio and bacio crammed in a baby yellow cup — the small: ~$ 4 — and promptly devoured by an already-full Lantern Bruncher, Mr. Gelato gets a big Woohoo! from this guy. Smooth, rich, and texturally perfect, the decadent dark chocolate gelato is littered with crunchy hazelnuts in a combo I’d take over too sweet Nutella anyday. If you disagree, they have Nutella gelato, too, so go suck an egg with your dumb ol’ Nutella fixation. The pistachio is playful, neither too nutty, too salty nor too sweet. I could take a smidge more of the base flavor, but it also could’ve been strong armed by the outstanding bacio. Yes, they’ll split flavors, even in a small, so combo Smurf(it’s blue, not sure the flavor) with — what’s this? — strawberry gelato! The«always a sorbetto, never a bride» berry gets actual creamy treatment at Mr. Gelato, and the discerning wife approves with two sticky thumbs up. A resounding 4.5 stars, and a cute patio in the plaza to boot!

I was thrilled to hear that a local crêpe, gelato, dessert, smoothie and coffee café had opened in Andover, and upon going I was not the least bit disappointed. I came here last weekend with my friend for brunch and fell in love. We both ordered the Banana Nutella crepes and absolutely LOVED them– a must try! The espresso is also excellent– my iced latte was smooth and delicious, and I’m admittedly a coffee snob. The interior and exterior of the café are very inviting, and both the employees and the owner were extremely kind and attentive. Don’t miss out on this deliciousness.

This is an amazing new spot for Andover. There is an enormous selection of flavors for the gelato lovers! I got a «medium»(2 scoop) of peanut butter cup and coconut gelato. It was one of the best cups of gelato I have ever had. The service was great. The environment was nice; there are leather seats and couches inside with a nice patio area outside. The attention to detail and cleaning of the restaurant is impeccable. They have nice looking Italian desserts, coffee, espresso, etc. They even serve crepes, but I will have to try them next time and let you know how they are. I strongly suggest that you give them a try soon. Its a fantastic place to go after dinner at one of Main Streets restaurants. The owner is very kind along with the staff. I hope that your experience there is as fantastic as mine was tonight!
