Andover Deli and Pizzeria

The Andover Deli has the best Calzones in town and is also very good for pizza, subs and breakfast.
The owners and worker’s are very friendly and care that the food tastes really good and their customers are satisfied.
The restaurant is clean, and well cared for
Also for townies there is about 10 years worth of various signed team jerseys making it fun to remember good times with the team you or your children used to play for

Stopped in on the way home from work. I had never been but it looked busy so I thought it would be good. Had cheese pizza. The crust was dry and hard. The cheese wasn’t completely melted on top. Place looked tired and the walls were covered with dusty sports memorabilia from local teams. The place had a funny odor and I noticed the flooring was carpeted. maybe it needs cleaning or replacing. Staff was friendly.

We’re from out of town and got lost getting here. We got here close to closing but they were very nice still. Everything was delicious! I had the cheesesteak, my husband had The Vixer and my daughter had the Chicken Parm hit sub. Delicious, delicious, delicious!!! When we’re traveling we try to go to local restaurants and support local owners. They support the local school with pictures and jerseys and other uniforms all over the restaurant walls. The restaurant is nice and clean too.

Steak bomb with extra cheese is very good. Had a cookie for dessert and was pleasantly surprised how good it was.

The Andover deli has incredible food and very reasonable prices. We have had a lot of different things from their menu and every single one has exceeded our expectations, our favorites aside from their fantastic pizza and fries is the chicken cutlet, tuna and steak tip salad wrap. The workers are all so friendly and personable and they have even given our kids cookies before which was so nice!

Hands down the best deli on the face on the planet. Buffalo chicken calzone… As close to heaven as one can get.

Lunch today had the signature steak tip sub w/​peppers, onions, mushrooms & cheese. Steak tips are so tender & only $ 7.50 :)

Place is awesome. I moved to Medford and still make my way up there for the buff chic sub. They cut up the cutlets so they don’t drag everything out in each bite.
Great pizza and subs. Def best sub shop in Andover. Owner is chill too.

I recently moved away from Andover and was devastated that Andover Deli and Pizza wasn’t going to be within walking distance from my house anymore.
The food is fantastic and cheap to boot! I especially like their salads as it’s not the average crappy pizza place salad you usually get. The ingredients are fresh and the composition of the salad was well proportioned (not 90% lettuce). The pizza is so tasty! I’ve never had a disappointing meal from this place.
The only downfall is the hours. They close fairly early so if you’re a late eater or get a craving past 9PM then you’re out of luck here. Also no delivery :(
Overall this place has good pricing and amazing food. Check it out!

Since moving to Andover the hunt for decent pizza and take out has been mediocre… Until now.
Andover Deli and Pizza’s main draw backs are early closing hours (8pm) and no delivery.
Their pizza is solid, greasy Greek style and steak subs on par.

Happened to be in Andover and needed some lunch before a concert and was so glad I found this place. Thanks Unilocalers! Ordered a signature sandwich (Kixter) and it was better than I imagined. Forgot how much I love a fried breaded chicken breast. With grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms and provolone all in a «syrian» pocket it was the perfect meal that hit the spot. Well done!

This place is always good. I don’t think I’ve ever had even a mediocre experience. I’m not saying it’s fine dining; coming from the south, I’ve had issues finding places that know how to use seasoning. They use seasoning and everything isn’t covered in grease; that’s worth 5 stars to me for a sub shop. The place is always clean and the girls that take your order are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.
They usually close by 8:00, so don’t try to eat there late night or you will be disappointed. They are open for breakfast which I’ve yet to try it and it’s not a super early breakfast place. I’ve had five or six of their sandwiches, a couple of different pizzas, the calzones, and both the house and Greek salads. I’ve enjoyed them all.
It seems like they do much of their business as carryout and I’ve always been impressed watching the girls take down the orders both on the phone and from people stopping in. My fiancé and his coworkers pick up at least once a week for the last 2ish years and never once have their orders been messed up. One of the guys probably eats there three times a week and he’s never had an order be incorrect.
The owners seem very sweet, we’ve been in there several times when they have hosted dinners for Andover High sport teams. The kids always seem to enjoy themselves and I think they make dishes not on the menu.

Another pizza place/​sub shop that is very conveniently located to where I work so it’s easy to grab a quick lunch. Most items are a good value — some things are a bit overpriced. Very surprised that you have to pay extra for BBQ sauce or any other sauce if ordering chicken fingers. Doesn’t make sense — should come with it as a standard. I think it’s a dollar up-​charge or right around there. I think that’s what’s stopping me from giving 4 stars…
It’s definitely a hit with the locals — everyday the place is packed at lunch. That being said, waiting to order or pick up is a little awkward because people are EVERYWHERE. The girls that ring you up are very sweet & I’ve never seen them stress — even with 40+ people in the place.

Little did I know that this place makes almost everything from scratch! Their sauce for their pizza is even made there! The food I’ve had here has been SO fresh and DELICIOUS! Ali is usually working at the counter, she always takes down your order correctly and is so sweet! Will definitely be a regular here!
