I usually get my oil changed at the Honda dealership, but I came here because it had such great reviews.
Suffice to say, the service I got was less amazing than I had expected from the reviews.
I walked in and there only one person inside. He asked what I needed and I said I needed an oil change. He didn’t offer me a seat but I sat down anyways. I told him I’d never been there before but they had such great reviews so I came here instead of my usual spot.
He proceeded robotically with, «name…last name… address…phone number… car make and model…» I gave him all my info, he typed it in, then got up and left without a word. He came back with the printout and circled the «X» and handed me a pen. I signed and he said, «and are you gonna do the free tire rotation?» I said if I need it, then yes please. «Gonna wait for the car?» I said yes. He didn’t tell me the price or how long the wait was, I had to ask.
As I signed the paper, a woman walked in that was apparently his friend, and he took the paper and left me there at the desk to go talk to her. I asked how long the wait was and he said about 45 mins, then turned his attention back to his lady friend.
I wasn’t sure if there was a lounge to wait in because he didn’t tell me. So I awkwardly got up and walked towards an empty room of couches behind me.
Did not feel welcome, did not feel taken care of. He was at best indifferent. I think his name was bob?
I have a 2007 Honda Civic, and the total came to $ 34. No refreshments or tv in the lounge, and sub par customer service.

The customer service was outstanding. They had my car for a couple of days because it had some serious issues. After the repairs were done the car started having others problems. We took the car back with no problems. They did everything they could to fix the issue with no extra charges. The owner even throw in some freebies. We appreciate their honesty!

5 stars for honesty and customer service. I went there sure I needed new breaks insisting to the front end I was positive I they need replacing since my breaks are so squeaky. He said they won’t replace them if they are still in good condition.
Since I work close by the owner gave me a ride to work and agreed to pick me up if he wasn’t busy which they normally don’t do.
Upon completion, I was surprised to find out that I didn’t need new breaks and even more surprised that they didn’t change them out anyways.

A simple oil change turned into a bigger problem where I had to talk to the owner. Unfortunately the owner raised his voice and talked to me like I was a complete idiot. These guys are good but talking to a customer like you’re an idiot and being rude to me is not okay. Probably not coming back.

We stopped by to have a low air error message checked (we had already added air earlier) and the employee that assisted us assured us we had done a good job and had nothing to worry about. That was a load off our minds, and a nice visit!

These guys are great. I’ve been coming here for years. It’s about time I wrote them a positive review.

I have been coming here for about 10 years and appreciate their sincere work on my cars. The current manager Robert is very smart and really knows his business. Can explain clearly and precisely what is needed. I have recommended this shop.

Have been going here for years. Most recently went in for an oil change. I could have gone anywhere but gave them my business because of all the previous good experiences. They do quality work and most importantly are honest! When it comes to cars it can be so hard to find people who will recommend services you may need without trying to bleed you dry. Very awesome customer service as well.

We were about 400 miles from home with an oil leak in my wife’s car. Hotel suggested this shop. They were great, took me in right away.
Next day oil pan gasket was repaired. What a relief. Very friendly and gave me a ride back to my hotel after I dropped off the car. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful.

Came in on a saturday morning after driving home the night before with some sort of «bolt» in my tire. I thought great, it’s my birthday weekend and I gotta deal with a mechanic. I looked up this place by my house and went in. They took care of it in 40 minutes and it ended up being a 7 inch rod in my tire! they patched it up and said there wasn’t significant damage to my tire no new tire needed! they were nice and approachable (esp being a 5 foot girl who doesn’t know a whole lot of info on cars and hates anything to do with fixing cars). reviews were spot on!

I’m from Sacramento, I came down for Disney Land for the weekend. I had a blow out. My car didn’t come with a spare. So I was in desperate need of help. But I only had one day at Disney Land (Saturday). I never got to meet the actual people at the location but I had AAA tow my car to the there shop and I left money in my car and they fixed it for me that day. I got my car when Disneyland closed and I left bright and early in the morning. Thank you so much for the awesome customer service. You guys made my stressed out weekend into a easy and amazing weekend!

Came in last week for a simple patch for the nail i had in my tire. i was told it would be maybe 20 minutes and $ 20! By the time i was able to leave there… 70 minutes later!!! If i had known it would have been that long i would have gone else where…

West County Tire is great! I had been going somewhere else, but they didn’t have my back, like West County does. West County told me things about my car that I had never been told before and they don’t try to upsell me or do work that isn’t necessary at the time. Their prices are much better than even so called «discount» tire places. They are friendly and efficient, there service is top notch!
They have recently remodeled and the place looks amazing too!

As a resident of Chapman Commons, this place wins on convenience alone. I drop off my car, walk back home, and wait for the phone call that my car is ready.
They frequently mail you coupons for $ 19.99 oil change and tire rotation. They are kind enough to not charge me extra even though my Xtrerra uses 5.4L of oil and 5.0L is generally their limit. The guys that work here seem pretty honest. I’ve been here about a half dozen times and they have never tried to upsell me on anything I did not need.

Flat tire saga:
–West County Tire Service/​Goodyear in Anaheim scratches my wheel while fixing a punctured tire.
–They send it out for repair and reluctantly agree to pay for a rental car.
–I pick up my car the next day and notice that the repaired wheel is scratched again. I don’t say anything because it’s minor.
–BONUS: My car smells like dirty mechanic.
–I get my CC statement a week later and notice a charge for the rental car. Seriously?
Moral of the story:
If you care about your car, your time, and your sanity, DO NOT GO HERE.
They do have a mini Angels shrine in the lobby though. If you are an Angels fan with a lifted truck, this place is for you. I’m a Dodgers fan so that probably explains why I had to go through this.
Being nice (the owner is nice) doesn’t matter if his employees ruin your sh*t.

I went to patch my flat tire at 5:30pm, half an hour before closing time. My apologies, but I rushed as quickly as I could through rush hour after a visit to my PREVIOUSLY-​recommended tire shop, Discount Tire Centers Santa Ana. That Discount Tire Center is no longer a recommendation, as indicated in the linked review.
I met Jack and Jerry, and although they were closing soon, they decided to take my car in for a patch. I saw them turn down another person who came in 20 minutes before closing.
Jack assigned a mechanic to the car after I told him that there were 2 nails. I did not mention that I had visited Discount Tire Center half an hour prior, nor that the affected tire is thinning and due for a replacement in a few months.
While the mechanic was working on the car, Jack struck up a conversation. His calm, warming demeanor engaged me in topics about work, his 20+ year marriage, a bit about religion as it relates to marriage, and today’s work ethic as compared to the baby boomer age. It was quite interesting, and Jerry chimed in as well. By the time the tire was patched, the three of us have had lively exchanges of stories and thoughts.
The mechanic noted that the tire was fixed, but that I should get it replaced in a few months. Yup, I was already aware of that. Thank you for not trying to sell me new tires at this time like the salesman did at the Discount Tire Center.
I left with a good feeling — good conversations, Jerry and Jack appearing down-​to-​earth and honest, reasonable charge for the repair, and no push to buy new tires when I expressed that I was planning to buy new ones soon. The mechanic also appeared trustworthy.
At this time, this is the shop I’d visit again and will likely buy the tires from once I have done my research on which ones to buy… a few months from now.
Perhaps not all mom and pop tire shops are bad after all…
UPDATE 5÷29÷12: I forgot to mention that the mechanic missed the 2^nd nail in the tire (it was the smaller of the two) — either he did not hear me point out that there were TWO, or Jack forgot to tell the mechanic that… I do not remember. I pulled out the 2^nd nail from within the center groove to see how deep it was, but because it was a small one, it probably did not puncture the walls. I decided not to bring this up to the shop at this time, took a picture of the nail and its prior location, and instead monitor how the tire performs for the next few weeks.
Stay away from these two tire shops:
— Discount Tire Center Santa Ana
— Western Brake and Tire Anaheim

This is one of those few places where you can actually trust the information they give you. I have bought tires for my last 4 vehicles here and have never felt like I was being ripped off. They will give you several options based upon how much you want to spend, and what you want to use your vehicle for.
I have also had several flats patched here and they always try and squeeze you in if you are in a hurry, but even on a busy day the longest I have waited was under an hour.
Also, the last set of tires I had replaced had a really strange wear pattern so they did some checking and found a couple of bushes were very badly worn, so they gave me a quote for the repair. Just for the heck of it I called another place to get a quote and they wanted $ 100 more than West County had quoted me!
The last thing is, the mechanics care. No really! I went in last week to get a flat repaired and when the mechanic was driving onto the rack he noticed the trans was slipping. He asked me if this happened often and said yes, but with 250k on my van I really wasn’t too surprised. So he checked the fluid and found it was a quart low, which shocked me, until he noticed a small leak from a bolt in the trans pan. So, here I am, waiting for the «big sell», but instead, he just tightened up the bolt, (yes, it was loose), checked the others, added the fluid, and that was it. And the cost??? Nothing ! I even mentioned this to the guy doing the paperwork for the flat repair and he confirmed the «no charge» for the quick fix.
Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.
