The Music Abode instructors do not follow specific traditional methods of teaching. We encourage open philosophies of teaching to promote lesson planning that is personalized to each student. All of our private lessons are conducted in students homes to encourage lesson consistency due to the convenience factor of taking private lessons in your own home. All of our instructors are fully screened and background checked for your safety. We also offer competitive rates when compared to in-studio lessons and do not charge sign-up fees or have our students sign contracts.
History
Established in 2009.
Kim Gardner excelled in taking private piano lessons since age 7 to her high school graduation. She then went on to graduate from San Diego State University and decided to commit her career to providing and promoting private lessons. She began teaching privately and quickly grew her group of private students to over 150 students and 20 instructors. All The Music Abode instructors have the same open philosophies of teaching as Kim and all lessons are conducted in-home with low rates competitive to in-studio lessons.

Business Owner
Founder, President and Instructor– began taking private piano lessons at age seven. At age nine, she performed at a superior level for the Michigan and National Federation of music. After moving to California at age 12, she began playing percussion in the band and was awarded percussion player of the year. Upon entering high school Kim joined the Valencia High School orchestra in Placentia, California as their pianist and was named the Musician of the Year her senior year. She then attended San Diego State University as a Communications Major and Music Education Minor. With these degrees she went on to teach over ten years of piano, voice and guitar private lessons. Kim continues to promote and share her love of music in a convenient and personalized fashion that she knows will create the best music success stories.
