I was in a brutal motorcycle accident in September 2013. A woman merged into me in the carpool lane and I was crushed between the car and my bike. My injuries were so severe that I was in the hospital for an entire month. The stay in the hospital was exacerbating. I was antagonized for being a rider. After my return home, I was not only depressed but felt that my life was hopeless. I felt that no one was looking out for me in a situation where I cannot look out for myself. My family was in contact with Russ Browns law offices and they came out to meet me since I was immobile. For the first time I felt that someone was on my side and understood the challenges of being a motorcycle rider that has gone down. After the first meeting, I was reassured that I had an ally in this fight. Early on in my case it was apparent that the other motorist did not have sufficient coverage to cover the extensive hospital bills. But attorney Marc Smith and paralegal Bonnie Dantzscher were there to assure us that they didn’t abandon their clients. This past year Marc and Bonnie devoted their precious time to help us fill out all the paperwork involved in dealing with a $ 750k bill from the hospital. Fortunately, Marc and Bonnie helped us apply for the right charity programs and worked with us hands on during every step of the process. I fully expected to file for bankruptcy but with Marc and Bonnie’s help the hospital accepted our application and forgave majority of the bill. Regardless of the lack of compensation for their time, Bonnie and Marc went out of their way to help us out. We are still using their services and I have no clue what I would do without Marc and Bonnie.
