These are definitely NOT snow cones with crunchy chunks of ice; the secret is in the much finer, softer ice – like fallen snow. If you haven’t had one of these light fluffy snow treats on top of a scoop of ice cream, you need to make the drive over to Oahu Shave Ice & Ice Cream. The finely shaved ice holds the flavor better than a snow cone, and our flavors are especially delicious. Pick one of our many flavors to make your new favorite refreshing treat. You can also top your shave ice with a Snow Cap (sweet vanilla cream – tastes like ice cream), sweet condensed milk, azuki beans, li hing mui powder, chocolate syrup, whipped cream or caramel.

Very very good shaved ice very fine ice just melts instant in your mouth. This place has tons of flavors which you can customize or order the ones on the the menu. Definitely a great spot to bring the family to cool down or satisfy your craving of shaved ice cream

Great customer service and great ice cream. I use to go to the one in Fullerton but that one moved to Brea. Anaheim is now closer to me. This location was a bit hard to find. I drove pass it since it is sort of hidden.

Huge portions for their small size, definitely don’t recommend the large unless you plan to share. It’s hidden though, I passed it at first, but a nice treat on a warm summer night.

I used to always go to the one in Fullerton but they recently closed that location. I came here with the kiddos over the weekend for a frozen treat. It was a little confusing at first because I saw a sign but the store front was a sandwich shop. Thanks to another Unilocal reviewer I figured out it was inside. The cashier was super nice and helpful. They have quite a few tables in the sandwich shop to stay and eat. I highly recommend the double rainbow. It’s my favorite!

Love this place! Root Beer Float is my favorite! Have tried it several ways with a vanilla bean, chocolate, bubble gum and birthday cake ice cream. My son likes to try different flavors and has not been disappointed.

Despite heavy advertising for their new stores (since the Fullerton store closed), this Anaheim store still does NOT accept your gift cards. This is disappointing since we have already spent the money on the cards and are now stuck with cards they will not accept. They claim they need a computer system setup to accept, but the store has been open at least 2 weeks… and think about it… how many stores have you been to that have POS setup with an iPad and a card scanner… or…why didn’t they sent the POS from Fullerton to this store? I no longer trust this business and am not sure I will be back – is it really worth the 20 minute drive?

On a sweltering afternoon, we were delighted to find this hidden gem. We ordered the coconut pineapple ice cream and it was smothered with flaky leaves of ice packed and patted like a fisherman’s canning of sardines shaped into a structure similar to a hot air balloon.
Tasting the first bite transported me back to Maui. The gentleness of the cold slipped down my mouth into the throat chamber finally caressed by the bowels of my tummy. Aahh. Let’s do it again.

Yesterday 8÷19÷15, was our first time at an Oahu Shave Ice, we’ve heard so many good things about them and decided it was the perfect day for shave ice in this warm weather. The two of us shared a small Oahu P.O.G. and let me tell you, it was as if i closed my eyes and transported to Hawaii. It was amazing. I remember being a little girl and going with my grandpa to get shaved ice in Hawaii when we went to visit our relatives. This place is the real authentic stuff! so good! we quickly finished our share and although the small is really a large, we decided to get a second one! it is that good! I will proudly become a regular here and make the drive to Anaheim from Laguna Niguel for this delicious dessert! I strongly suggest the owner to think about opening a location down here in south orange county!

About a month ago the family drove all the way to Oahu’s Fullerton store only to find out that the store had closed. There were signs saying that new stores would be opening soon, but the first one was in Brea, which was a little to far of a drive. When we heard about the new Anaheim store we headed over. It was a little hard to find… it is inside a sandwich place called subs n more and there is only a small sign… but the shave ice was exactly the same as we remembered.
I got tiger’s blood with vanilla bean ice cream and condensed milk, my wife got the Oahu POG, my son got the The Kid (but had to get with vanilla ice cream instead of bubble gum) and my daughter got Double Rainbow (with vanilla instead of rainbow sherbet). Regarding ice cream selection, guy working apologized and explained it was a soft opening and they would be adding additional ice creams in the near future. Kids didn’t mind having vanilla instead of normal ice cream in their combos and as long as they have vanilla ice cream I am good.
