Globe Deli

Horrible! Just horrible! The girl at the counter is clueless. Had to tell her what we wanted 5 times! Got our food and when we asked, were advised that saurkraut does not come on it despite the menu picture and description say differently. She did give us saurkraut tho and honestly that and the mustard were the only good things. The French roll the sausage came on was way too hard to eat. I ended up taking the sausage out. I feel completely ripped off. Will never come back. Don’t recommend.
Update: (for the owner). I actually have the receipt. We paid the 9.95 each. She said you had a special — sandwich with 1 side only. Based on the menu description and picture there would be NO REASON to think that saurkraut does not come on it. The french rolls were too hard. I dont care if they’re made daily. They were hard. Lastly, the girl who rang us up knew that the meal was sub par because she apologized a number of times. Maybe SHE should have told you we didn’t like it. I didnt see you come out and ask us how it was soooo unfortunately if you feel a review on Unilocal (which is what it’s all about) is unfair to you, maybe you should get more involved with YOUR business to make it the best it can be.
Update #2. The owner of the business has very thin skin and is very butt hurt that I gave him a bad rating on Unilocal.He thinks I’m being hateful when all I’m doing is giving my opinion of his restaurant. If the truth is hateful, then I’m sorry but I’ll just continue to be hateful.
Update#3 So I made 2 mistakes the other day. The first was going to Globe deli. The second was to assume the owner of the business would be mature enough to handle a bad review on Unilocal.The food that I had at Globe Deli was not worth my money. The owner is calling me names — cheap for one — but I was happy to give the cashier my credit card. I could have (and should have) went to one of the other food places in this food court. I in no way came back to the counter and «bullied» the cashier for stupid saurkraut. She saw how dissapointed we were when she brought it to us. She apologized multiple times and brought us saurkraut of her own free will. I even offered to pay for it.
The owner apparently cannot handle a bad review here. He’s trying to berate me and call me names. I for one, will never come back and I would never recommend this place. Take your chances if you’d like, just don’t give a bad review or the owner will try and strike you dead with bad words.

So for everyone reading this, that’s not how it happened at all — if i was bullying /​berating his employee, why would he NOT COME FROM THE BACK AND HELP HER??? I didn’t even go back up to the counter! And there were no other customers waiting. Exactly how would I know he was even there? He never came out to even talk to us! This owner is butt hurt that I wrote a bad review on Unilocal about him. I would think instead of calling me names and trying to degrade me, he would have been a man and a good business owner by trying to make things right instead. If you have thin skin and can’t take constructive criticism then you probably shouldn’t (a) be a business owner and (b) read your Unilocal reviews.

Typically, I’d only go to a place that puts some good effort into their branding, but this place had opened about 6 months ago and is only a few hundred yards from my work; so I thought I’d give it a try. I should have stuck to my rules about good branding, because just like their image, the food is just, eh. I decided to try to the Reuben since I wasn’t a big fan of the sandwich of the day, which was turkey. While it wasn’t a bad sandwich, there wasn’t anything special about it either. The sandwich did come with a lot of meat, so if you’re into that, you may like it.
I will say this though, the guy behind the counter was really nice, super cool and helpful, although he couldn’t suggest a sandwich. But I had asked what their best sandwich is, so maybe they don’t have any best sellers, who knows. I’ve given them four stars mainly for service, but the sandwich is more like a three.
If only their food was as good as the service?

They are having a special, sandwich, chips, and soda for $ 6.00!!! What do you expect for $ 6.00, here you can expect a lot! Very tasty!

Great little deli with good lunch specials. Friendly staff, quick service, and great prices make this a favorite lunch spot.

This little place is on the corner or Promenade Street. It’s in the same court as Healthy Junk.
It’s a German Deli, with a verity of Meats and cheeses. I ordered the Sausage Special with the Bratwurst and a German Potato Salad.
The bratwurst was huge and it was delicious, not very greasy as they sometimes can be. The bun was also soft and really tasty.
The potato salad was a cold salad and it was different. Not really verses in German food but it was good.
The employees were also nice and helpful.
On the meal I spent about 11.00
