Second best Con ever! Can’t beat Comic Con but this is a must if you can. Worth it every time.

Great event with lots of interesting panels, talks, live game matches, etc. StarCraft stage was amazing. HOTs audience area was way too small and lots of people ended up having to stand. Timing wise isnt great because lots of live games (e.g. SC2 /​HOTS) semis/​finals were happening at the same time and I want to watch both!
You also get to try some of their games at the venue, but the lines are so crazily long. I wish it lasted more days but with less events on each day so I get to experience everything instead of just pieces of it.
Oh, goodie bag was pretty awesome. Definitely hope to be back next year!

Blizzcon 2014 was my second time attending and it was fantastic again. Patience is definitely key because of the many lines, but the Blizzard employees go out of their way to put on a good show. The panels were awesome, had a great time trying demos of the new games, and all the voice actors were so friendly — not to mention all the cool swag you can walk away with. If you are a fan of Blizzard Entertainment, this convention is a must-​attend at least once!

Now, I’m not a Con man. I’ve never gone to Comic Con nor this Blizz Con before but I have been to E3, CES, and other variety trade shows. If you are a Blizzard fan, this is a must! I have to say, the ticket will pay for itself if you just sell the goodie bag back on Ebay.
There will be a lot of lines. There will be lot of waiting. There are a lot of people. This place smells. Yes, you are definitely in the right place. I came here this year, for the first time as a crewmember here compliments of my friend Minerva.
Working as a contractor, I was lucky enough to be working last minute as part of the Voice Actor Stage crew. Under the supervision of Michael Roache, Carlos Almeida, and Danielle Kelly (BTW, the folks at Blizzard were the nicest folks I’ve worked with), we were placed to help with the stage, the security, and helping the stage actors with whatever they needed.
Yes, I was lucky enough to help escort Lo-​Pan (James Hong) to the Green Room and have met him and his agent Tony. I met the voices of Tyrael and Grommish. Both Kevin and Jonathon were nice enough to take pictures with me. They both have very unique voice. Also Dee Bradley Baker was very nice to talk to us and gave each of us individual autographs. (If you never heard him speak, you will be outraged in a good way, what outer space creature voice he does, simply amaze balls!)
This year, they revealed Hearthstone.
There was also various statues, various games, and other vendor giveaways. (like Youtube capes I’ve seen everywhere) There were some hiccups like when I waited an hour of wait at the Blizzcon Store an hour just to pay. However, I would not trade for anything else for the first experience at Blizzcon. I think I will have to do this again and would recommend you nerds to join me.

The Good: BLIZZCON!!! My once a year total geek out. My voice is gone with all the «FOR THE HORDE’ chants. They put on such a great convention every year. This year was another successful one too. Who can’t wait for Overwatch? I want to play it again now. Grab swag and play the hottest games from Blizzard.
The Bad: It’s getting so crowded it’s like a comic-​con waiting to explode with the mainstream media.
The Ben: If you can get a ticket it’s so worth it. Swag, games and friends. My guild had a guild hall and it was so great meeting guidies. Oh yeah and Monika Lee… did I mention Monika Lee?

I attended Blizzcon 2013 for the first time. Blizzcon was the best out of all the cons I’ve attended. It was worth the price and time to finally get a taste of what Blizzard Entertainment is all about. Its different, unique and they know how to throw a convention when it comes to gaming.
Even though the tickets, parking and hotel is a little steep. Its best to go with friends or family to share the costs. I would go this year but tickets are limited.

Blizz ’13! Which marks my 4^th year of attendance and I’m looking forward to the mad rush this year of getting tickets and the inevitable ups and downs that go along with it.
Anyhow, back to ’13 — this time they did food a bit different by bringing in their favourite food trucks which was great! The food was phenomenally better and such a great treat.
The swag and merch were great as always (and yes, that’s my opinion as someone who loves a good chibi Tyrael). The PS4 demo for D3 were legit and I can’t wait for both to come out. The new WoW revamps and expansion was pretty solid.
My favourite part though is the signage from the various developers and getting to chat with them (albeit briefly). Fun times all around.

I have always wanted to go to Blizzcon but just never got around to it. Mostly because it’s so incredibly expensive and tickets are so difficult to get. I finally decided to bite the bullet and plan to go this year. I’m just really glad my boyfriend has quick fingers because these tickets sell out in seconds! You literally have to click within 30 milliseconds of when they go on sale.
Tickets are $ 175 which is a very hefty price but I hear you can make up most of the ticket by selling your goody bag. Picking up your badge is kind of crazy. I went around 7:30pm on the day before, and was done at almost 10pm. The line is never ending and I didn’t think it was any better at 10pm right before they close. I believe there are 26,000 attendees, and it definitely felt like it. The lines were actually relatively fast and organized, but we had an issue with picking up friends’s tickets that were not present. So we were forced to wait in the Solutions Desk line which took the majority of our time there. Also, most of the crew working the event are not affiliated with Blizzard so they are pretty unhelpful with questions.
The convention was a lot of fun. There are a lot of things to do, but all the panels and events overlap so you should plan your day beforehand. Their big announcement this year was the new WoW expansion, and they had a huge playing area to test out the demo. However, the demo was very buggy and not very interesting either. There was almost no line to test out this game, and there was no line for the new Diablo 3 expansion either (on both PC and PS4). I felt like these stations were kind of a waste of space. But I can’t blame them since they probably expected these to be the most anticipated demos by fans. However, these expansions were very underwhelming. Instead, the lines for Hearthstone (their new trading card game) and Heroes of the Storm (their new DotA game) were incredibly long, and there were much less computers dedicated to these demos. The wait for these new games were about an hour to an hour and a half.
The WCS Starcraft II tournament plays here and it pretty much runs from the beginning to the end of the convention. I was kind of torn because these matches are so good, and yet there’s so much else to do at the rest of the convention. I pretty much spent all of Saturday watching this tournament because I didn’t want to give up my seat (5^th row). The crowd energy is great watching it live, and you get to meet the players afterwards for a very short amount of time if you want.
Food is incredibly overpriced as expected. They have some food trucks outside though, so instead of eating overpriced crappy food, you can have overpriced decent food. There are lines for literally everything though. Probably 40% of your time at the convention is spent standing in lines. I thought that the lines would die down on the second day, but they were even longer. The Blizzcon store sells out incredibly fast, so if you want something, you should get it ASAP. Also, as mentioned in some other reviews, there are a good number of smelly people at this convention. I got whiffs of all sorts of body odor and it was really gross. Other than that though, Blizzcon was a lot of fun and this probably won’t be my last one. It’s definitely worth going to at least once if you are a Blizzard fan.

I went in 2010 as a guest. I only went on saturday, but I had a lot of fun.
I did feel out of place as a female and as someone that doesn’t play games or have a clue what the Blizzard culture was– I felt like a lot of things had to be explained to me. But it was still great to see. It really showed me the different parts of the Blizzard culture – the games, the guilds from WOW, and the tourtments. It was great to see people dressed up in costumes too!
I don’t play games or even blizzard games, but it still kept me engaged. The art, the exhibits, I even got to play some D3 beta– I don’t have the dexterity to really play games, but nothing the less good to see. I also saw the SCII finals and got to see the room fill with enthusasium when the game came to an end – that’s something you don’t really see that much anymore anywhere!
Also, the concert– there weren’t enough chairs though, which was a shame, but I stood in the back. It was good to see jack black’s band. hey his dinosaur costume helped me solidify what I wanted to be for Halloween.

I dare you to find a girl in this place. I’ll give you 5 mins to look for one… Done? Yea, told you so. Girls are so rare at this place that i would find a four leaf clover under a huge pot of golden coins before i see any girls over here at blizzcon.
I’m only giving blizzcon 3 stars since i don’t play any of the games, so i couldn’t follow along. zergs, protoss & terran… wtf. it was like they were speaking a different language to me. sounds more like biology terms.
I only came here to shoot pictures and for the foo fighters concert.
i’m actually glad i came here to shoot pics, since it has taught my a lot about my camera. shoot in a higher ISO and with smaller aperture and adjust my shutter speed. i ended up getting some cool pictures and useful knowledge about my camera.
anyways, ignore my random tangent… the outside was packed with smokers. if you wanted to get some fresh air, and walked out into the patio, you’d get lung cancer. it was like a fog machine turned on and you can see the haze of smoke.
the foodz were overpriced. like usually. i feel the closer you are to disneyland, the more expensive items usually cost. fucking disneyland… its like a blackhole for money.
the parking was around 12 bucks or so?
oh, and as someone else mentioned, people who play blizzard games do not seem to care for deodorant… my nose was assaulted. =/

Blizzcon 2011 was a whirlwind of fun, excitement and energy!
It’s like we took our favorite Blizzard games, added a helping of Disneyland, a good dose of IRL guild drama, a pinch of camping, and a dash of high-​tech theatrics and rolled it all into one amazing weekend.
The highlights of my experience:
~Meeting, and reuniting with members of my guild!
~Sitting through fantastic discussions… next to people who ALL knew what the presenters were talking about!
~Play testing Diablo 3!
~Play testing SC2 Heart of the Swarm!
~Play testing the new WoW expansion area, Pandaria!
~Seeing all the cool new stuff from gaming vendors!
~Meeting the Dev Team for StarCraft2, and getting them to all autograph my commemorative program (Squeeee!)
~Watching the live final SC2 Showdown between IMMvP and IMNesTea!
~Taking home all the fun souvenirs and swag!
I go every year… and each time outdoes the one before. This truly is my Christmas!

Guy to girl ratio: 9:1
Percentage of attendees who had recently showered: 73%
Percentage of attendees who had worn deodorant: 41%
It’s the only place you can play the games before their release, make fun of dorks, and watch grown men dress up like cows. Extremely well done.

When to Blizzcon this year. It was my first time, and definite not my last time.
This is probably the fastest selling even ticket in the planet, blizzcon ticket sold in seconds that right. Is extreme hard to get it, i was not able to buy the ticket despite try to buy in the first few second, second time was the charm, finally able to buy the ticket.
$ 175 might sound high but you getting a very nice goody bag which can sell for $ 150 to $ 300 depend how fast you put them in ebay.
The ticket is included the music concept which last over 2 hours this year was Foo Fighter, not fan of them band. If you are into any of Blizzard game, this is definite like holy grail convention, most fan in the convention are very knowledge and hardcore gamer. Majority are adult in their late 20′‘s to 40’s I had see some 60’s and older as well.
U has to plan your schedule according or you you miss things. the longer line was not during the event but during the pick up ticket day before, next time, lesson learn pick up later up in the night not early. The line in the change name is terrible long is like 2 and half hours. For god sake.
There’s lots of food stand but they are over priced and not a lot of choices. Food and Drink ain’t allow to go inside, if i were you wanna save some money, walk to the food court in the Hilton. You can save money and is much better food quality and bigger portion size.
Restroom inside is terrible especially the main stage area, too small to handle such large crown, other thing during opening and closing celemory, if you come after they start, they won’t let you in despite there’s seat, you won’t get good seat if you arrive even 1 hour earlier of a main event, some folks just camp there all day. despite most of the stuff can watch online later on. especially those trailer.
If you are collector this is wonder-​place to buy your stuff, most of the stuff on the store isn’t available online. and also there several contest for prize but often the line is very long or longer than game line.

I’ve gone 1^st and 2^nd year. It’s always a good time but I wish you can test the games a little longer than 15 mins at a time. If you want more time, you have to go back in a long line. They usually have a ton of contests for prizes. PvP, costume contest, best voice from the games contest, and recently they have «quest» like games for everyone to enter and get real life «loot» like alienware laptops, posters, etc. The event sells out every dang time in a matter of days so if you’re ever interested, you’ll need to be ready. It’s pretty expensive because a lot of people want to go to it so I guess they can charge a high fee. They now also have pay-​per-​view option so you view this event anywhere in the world.

My husband has been three times, and I’ve been twice. Both being avid gamers, we had a great time here.
FOOD: 4 stars
Gourmet dessert stands and a few alcohol stands. You’ll see the occasional gamer drunkie soliciting free hugs.
They also had your usual convention style food (pizza, burger, fries. sandwiches, salads)
PRICE: A 2 day badge runs for $ 150.
PARKING: it runs at $ 10-​$ 15 per day.
A small price to pay for 2 days of awesome.
We usually park at Disneyland, which is less than a block away.

They provide medieval style or starcraft style battle props you can use, in addition to a cool Blizzcon background– your choice of Diablo, WoW or Starcraft flavor.
We were able to test out the betas for WoW Cataclysm (before it came out), Diablo 2, and Starcraft 2 (before it came out).
The highlights of the convention are watching the cosplayers, taking part in trivia competitions and gaming competitions, seeing the international teams and individual tournaments of Starcraft and World of Warcraft. Panels showing future game releases were cool. Every year they have a concert at the end that kicks ass. The year before was Ozzy Osbourne and last year was TENACIOUS D– and David Grohl was the guest-​drummer… pure unadulterated awesome.
There’s a few carnival style games you can play to win geek-​chic prizes. Hubby won an Antec Tower last year.
There’s a lot more stuff, I recommend going to see for yourself!
