I cannot speak highly of this service enough.
Mike came to our house for an estimate and was so personable and lovely. He sat at our dining room table and was ready to answer any question we had.
On moving day, the two gentleman who showed up exactly on time, Mikey and Frank, were AWESOME. I have never seen movers treat my belongings with so much concern and attention. For the first time in all my moves, I was actually sad to see them leave! Absolutely wonderful people who work extremely hard and do an excellent job. Fantastic work all around!

These guys screwed already at the quote stage. Had an 8am appointment (first appointment of day). Had made it very clear that I had a hard stop at 9am. Sales person calls me 8:30am to let me know he is going to be there in another 30 min or so due to traffic. He should probably have expected traffic and left an hour earlier. More than an hour late for the first sales call of the day? No thanks! If this is how they handle customer service during the sales process, I can’t even start to imagine how they will handle the move. Idiots.

I e-​mailed for an estimate, gave the dates of my move which were very tight, within a couple weeks of the e-​mail. In the interim other companies contacted me first with compelling estimates and professional service. I told begins via phone and e-​mail multiple times that I had found another mover. They continued to call and e-​mail on a daily basis. They called again today after 4 – 5 times telling them I no longer needed their service. The representative had the audacity to tell me to «lower your voice and then I’ll take you off the list.» First of all I was not yelling, I was using a firm tone to cut through her pre-​packaged sales spiel that she started the second I picked up the phone. And, really? You’re going to scold me about my tone!!! When your company has been nothing but unprofessional!!!
So glad I didn’t end up using this company to do my cross-​country move. If this is their idea of customer service when they’re TRYING to get my business I can only imagine how they operate once they have $$ in hand.

My experience with Maffucci Moving was better than I could of ever imagined!!! I’ve used several other moving companies over the years and have experienced issues with the movers showing up late, furniture being damaged, and walls and doorways being scratched, but this move was different. This move from New York to Florida was an extremely positive experience. The level of service and attention to detail Maffucci Moving provided was nothing short of exceptional. These guys were truly great. My family took comfort having the ability to track our belongings on the truck. We even had the drivers direct cell phone number incase we needed to contact him. I highly recommend Maffucci Moving for your next move.

The Software company I work for– Fabkom used Maffucci last week for a move from one downtown NY location to another. From scheduling the move to post move everything has been pretty seamless. We found Maffucci from seeing a truck in our neighborhood a few months back. I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate and was greeted by a very friendly woman who helped me schedule appt and informed me that Judd the Owner of company would be coming himself to do the estimate. Judd called the day of to tell us he was running ahead of schedule which was great, he surveyed office and answered all questions we had. We were sent over a contract and all necessary insurance forms we requested for both our old building and new in a timely manner. I scheduled boxers be dropped off prior to move which they were and then those unused were deducted from our final bill as promised. The day of the move the two trucks arrived on schedule. Movers were all friendly and efficient, working together to get everything out of office and on to truck as quickly as possible. A few hours in they took a break for lunch then arrived at our new office, laid down the Masonite we requested and just as before worked in teams unloading and filling the office with all of our office furniture and computer equipment. Everything arrived in the condition we left it and as I stated previously movers were gracious and friendly. Overall an A+ experience. We received our invoice the day after our move. I did have a question about parking tickets which were accumulated during move (common– and stated in contract that we would be responsible). I just wanted to see a copy of tickets to make sure that they were in fact from our move but copies were sent over after I requested and everything was as it should. I would definitely recommend this company. Our office had a great experience using them.

Terrible! Don’t believe the hype! I called and used Bekins/​Maffucci Movers based on their glowing reviews and local location. After all was said and done, I had a condescending sales mgr, a head of accounting I had to ask to have a final paid bill emailed to me, because their paperwork had NO pricing with actual costs of my move on it prior to or at end of move. I also had to ask the movers at the end of my move for MY copy of my signed receipt of move which he replied I should ‘take a picture of it, that’s what most people do!’,. I took my carbon signed customer copy myself, and said, «really?! Excuse me?,. I’m not ‘most people’! Are you kidding me. I had a 3 stop move. From my apartment in Massapequa to put the bulk of my furniture in storage in Seaford, LI to moving just a bed, and some boxes to an apartment in Queens. The 3 movers were caught doing absolutely NOTHING in the truck all together after I noticed they were all missing for about 20 minutes or so! They jumped up when I called them out in the truck! They were slowwwwwwwwwer then turtles with snails on their backs!!! Paying by the hour here! The one mover, the ‘head mover’ apparently, was obviously being very unprofessional on top of it all with his questioning me about my personal/​private life as well, which made me highly uncomfortable, bug I handled him, and them. I’m from Howard Beach, Queens,. You can’t mess with that, and I can handle my own. But, I shouldn’t have to with a moving company in that way! I did have my best friend of 30 years along with me for the whole move as well, she couldn’t believe the bullsh*t that was going on from beginning to end. *ALSO*,… Last stop, apartment in Queens,. When moving only the bed and then some boxes in. That’s it…, the head mover guy, walks in front of me as I enter the apartment and goes around me and walks right to and enters a bedroom off to the left! Excuse me, I ask him where he is going, to follow me,. That nothing is going in that room. I close the door on our exit, and tell him not to go in there. Again! It was furnished, and I was living in with someone. He ASKED me if I had a roommate or what?,. It was like he was CASING THE PLACE!!! DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY AREN’T WORTH THE HYPE!!! I don’t care how many years they’ve been in business or what tv shows or celebrities have used them. My friend and I … OH, AND MY 86 YEAR OLD AUNT AND UNCLE who’s home in Seaford is where the movers moved my bulk of my furniture into storage,… COULDN’T BELIEVE THE slowwwwwwwwnesssss… And the unprofessionalism, to say the damn least!!! Unbelievable! I’m reporting them to the better business bureau, because the Managers at Bekins/​Maffucci were also not interested in hearing anything about any of this, and were if no help along the way with actual pricing a final bill or any understanding, only condescending. STAY CLEAR, they are CON ARTISTS… PERIOD!!! 100%.

Recently moved from NY to Sarasota, Fla and used Maffucci. The entire experience was a positive one. Had them pack for us, Benny and his helper did an outstanding job (everything has arrived intact, and we have many breakable items). The driver George and his crew were great at loading and unloading our things with care and concern. At both ends of the move, the houses were in perfect shape once they finished. The move was delayed by the snowstorm last Saturday and still, our things arrived within the promised 3 – 7 day window. George called us to let us know when he would arrive. Everyone that we came in contact with was polite and hard working. The estimate we were given at the beginning was spot on, no hidden charges. We are so pleased with the way this move went, had to share w/​others. I would highly recommend this company. As one of the men said, «it’s always about who walks thru your door to do the actual work», every one of them did a great job and handled our things w/​care.

I would never use this company again under any circumstance. The actual movers were decent, however management was horrible. When I initially called they quoted me a price and were so helpful and professional. After my move my bill was far different than what I was told over the phone. When calling the company to find out what was going on with this bill, two of the managers were on the line and were very rude, dismissive and condescending! Very disappointed.

I am a bit disappointed with the level of service from these movers. I had a really nice chair that they totally broke in half and tried to hide it and put both parts in 2 different boxes and then they lost a bag full of misc items and an old laptop.

These guys did a move for me from New York to Chicago. They were great! They wrapped up everything well and both the office staff and movers were very friendly throughout the process. I got quotes from about 4 different movers and they were priced right in the middle of everyone. Thanks Maffucci!

I was offered a job opportunity in South Florida so I had to relocate from NYC. I hadn’t moved in over ten years and now relocating to a new state was freaking me out. We all know how stressful a local move can be let alone one into another state! A friend of mine had relocated a year before and recommended Bekins to me. He gave his friend Judd my phone number who would be in charge of my estimate.
Judd contacted me and we set up an appointment for an estimate. He was prompt and professional and put together an estimate based on if they packed for me. He explained how much i would save by packing myself. He also let me know that I could start packing and if I didn’t finish by move out time … No worries they’d finish for me. All costs would be calculated in the end. What a relief.
So moving day came, three courteous men came by, at the exact time promised, and moved me out in under 4 hours. Painless!!!
Plus when I was checking underneath every nook and cranny I found a trap and freaked out cuz something was in it. The mover calmed me down and got rid of it. Above and beyond the call of duty!!!
They told me it takes 2 – 3 weeks for my stuff to arrive since they do moves on the way. That was expected .
They called me a few days prior to the move. They told me between 10am and 12pm but the problem was my building had to hire security and I was paying by the hour. I called and spoke to Beryl and explained the situation to her. She was a pleasure. She contacted the driver and he agreed to get there at 10am sharp. The movers arrived on time but had to wait a bit for security. They were very nice about it and I even tried to help them but they would not let me touch a thing. They moved my stuff in in under an hour. The cost was under what I was quoted because as Judd had promised, the more I packed myself the more I would save. There had even been one unforeseen cost and when Judd was notified about it he waived it as a courtesy. Bekins is the best. I will never use another moving company!

We moved in New York City from a 3 bedroom apt. to a townhouse and had a fantastic experience. Bekins-​Maffucci was very professional. The movers arrived on time and took the utmost care of our belongings. This is the second time we’ve used Bekins-​Maffucci and we highly recommend them.

I hired Bekins Maffucci to move me from New York to California. They did a fantastic job. From my initial meeting with them, to the people that came to pack, to the people that delivered my furniture, everything was done in a very professional manner. While reading so many negative reviews of moving companies, I was very afraid of what was going to happen. They arrived on time, pack everything very carefully, they were polite and very professional and the price was lower than my quote! I recommend them very highly and would definitely use them again.

I rate the actual movers, the men on the truck 4 or 5 stars, even though i’m not sure how ‘tuned in’ to the sneaky tactics of the company they are. However, as even the owner/​manager told me, they don’t give a «sh*t» about the men. I rate the company itself between 1 and 2.
First off — the shady tactics begin with the name of the company. which is it? Bekins, Maffucci? You will deal with multiple different people before you get finalized, actual price differ greatly from estimate due to differences of interpretation of language, etc… So listen to my warnings:
1) Estimate vs actual: big disparity. travel time estimate is written in stone and never adjusted for actual, who knows how long it really takes these guys to get anywhere. Told me clock starts when they arrive, well the clock starts, after they add in the hard number for estimated travel time. so if you’re an hour away and they estimate 2 with traffic, you’re getting charged the two — then the clock starts. Good luck arguing any different. In the end, my actual bill was about 20% higher than estimate… when you’re talking about $ 3, $ 4, $ 5k moves — you’re talking serious money.
2)Don’t have them pack anything! especially TV’s, they will charge astronomical flat rates… e. g: $ 75 to pack a 23″ flatscreen tv (because it’s some FCC policy they claim LOL! What?)
3) Damage: While pitching you, they will claim they have all insurance for any claim and just call their claim department. After they put a hole in your wall, they claim they don’t cover anything and you will have to sue them… that is their actual response.
4) If you do use this company… get EVERYONES phone number, the sales guy, the office, who will be handling your needs the DAY of the move, the boss, etc. You will need these numbers trust me.
In the end, dealing with this company is like dealing with a bunch of «tough guys». They will curse and yell at you on phone after the job, before they will give you the Mr. Timid nice guy sales person.
I would not use again, especially for anything out of state.

I used this moving company for a 20 mile move this past summer. The packers started off okay and then slowly began getting more complacent and lazy throughout the day. By the end of the day, both my spouse and I had to say something to them about throwing random items in boxes without any packing material, padding, or organization. Think beer stine, my daughter’s Barbie dolls, cooking pans, and medicine cabinet all thrown together in one box and then marked «Roxy’s room.» There is no Roxy. And yes, the beer stine broke into many pieces and I had to pick them out of my kid’s toys. The communication about the estimate versus the actual price was the major issue. Our final price was double what the estimate was, and when I contacted them all I got was a excuses and a half-​hearted apology. I’ve used moving companies numerous times in the past and this was by far the worst move in terms of organization, communication, and final pricing while being the least mileage. Use at your own risk.

The level of service and personal touch is outstanding! Highly recommended. Judd and his team take the worries out of moving. Very knowledgable and supportive throughout the moving process. Wouldn’t move without calling these guys.

I wish I could give zero stars.
I set up a move with these guys in September 2014, moving to Chicago. At first, it seemed too good to be true! Some big shot of the company (Judd Levine) came over and promised me that the quote I was given included all possible charges (IT DIDN’T) and that my stuff would be delivered to me within «a week and a half» (IT WASN’T). I made sure to specify that I needed my stuff ASAP and it should not be put into storage. The quote was higher than other movers but if it included everything and the delivery was supposedly so quick, I was happy to go with them. I provided my credit card number and packed up all my stuff.
The movers were to show up between ⁸⁄₉ am… at 9:30 am, I called their office to see where they were and was told they were «stuck in traffic on the bridge.» I lived pretty close to basically all the east side bridges, so figured they would be there within 20 min. They didn’t show up till 10:30. The guys proceeded to make me extremely uncomfortable with their comments and questions. They also used up a roll of painters tape I had laying around and made sure to mention (multiple times) how much of a tip I needed to give them.
A week and a half later, sleeping on an air mattress in my empty new apartment, I called Triple Crown to check on the status of my stuff. The lady at customer service (loosely used term, for sure) was the rudest person I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to. I was then passed around to various customer service agents and dispatch people until finally was told that I had to call the national company and they couldn’t tell me when my stuff was coming.
For the next 2 weeks, I spent everyday calling Triple Crown, the national company, Judd Levine, only to get blown off repeatedly, treated like a leper, and never getting any calls back when promised. Mr. Big Shot stopped responding via phone, resorting to email only.
FINALLY, 3 weeks a later (and major back pain from the air mattress), my stuff arrived from the storage which I was promised my stuff wouldn’t go to… BROKEN. A brand new bar from Pottery Barn was ripped like Andre the Giant went to town on it. Broken cabinets & shoe racks, doors ripped off, boxes smashed, things that were boxed strewn about, missing nails and screws… sigh, my stuff came in shambles.
The bill then came to almost $ 500 higher than what I was quoted. Things that Mr. Big Shot had promised were included weren’t. They gave me a discount for being so late on delivery, but that turned out to still end up $ 100 more than I was told.
I filed a claim the same weekend, with pictures & full details. What did I get back for almost a $ 1000 of damaged furniture??? $ 93.60. THANKS.

Ill break my review into two parts since I’ve dealt with Bekins in two ways. It should also help to counter any of the nonsense «spam» below.
First move — out-​of-​state data center — we used Bekins for our data center move from Boston to New Jersey. This was well over $ 100k+ worth of servers and the intellectual property on disk could be estimated at $ 500mm. The move required the Bekins team to take delivery of this material, box it and drive to NJ in one day so we didn’t have any downtime. Not only did they deliver (without any server disk issues mind you) but the professionalism and care I saw from delivery at the new data center and from what I was told at the point of origin made me very happy to be contracted with Bekins. The team was constantly in contact and made me very at ease!!!
Second move — house — with the huge success a few months back I decided to contact them for my home move. Again, the crew that showed up was super friendly, professional and unbelievably helpful in packing loose items. My daughters didn’t stop asking them questions and they loved to interact. The little ones wanted to know when they were coming back for a playdate :)
Honestly, it doesn’t get better than Bekins. I am proud to be aligned with a professional organization like Bekins Triple Crown Maffucci.

Use this company at your own risk!
In preparation for an interstate move from New York for work, it was my goal to obtain quotes from several companies in order to get what was the best service and price to suit my needs. The companies varied in price and services, but all the quotes were close in price range. I chose Bekins Triple Crown Maffucci because they initially appeared to be a dependable, respectable, honest company. This was the furthest from reality.
The move started on a Thursday morning and went fairly well, the men that loaded the truck were hard-​working and courteous. The only issue with the pickup was the difficulty in communicating with the men, as none of the three spoke English well– a minor barrier that was overcome. The real madness began the next morning as I received a call and voice mail stating my bill was now approximately $ 700.00 higher than the original quote because my load was over weight.
The original quote took into account the distance (miles) and amount of household goods (weight) with a minimum of 5000lbs. If the load was more than the minimum, the bill is hence adjusted accordingly. This was acceptable and had no concern of coming even close to the minimum, as my basement apartment was furnished with a sparse amount of furniture. In fact just three years prior, my move to New York from North Carolina barely scaled 3000lbs with more personal belongings. These individuals at Maffucci claimed the household goods topped an amazing 5900lbs. The household items in my 2BR/​2BTH apartment in North Carolina was drastically scaled-​down to fit into a very small 1BR/​1BTH basement apartment in New York and now weighs 2900lbs more!
The bottom line-​this company attempted to pull the oldest moving scam in the book. They’re prompt and customer friendly until they have all your possessions loaded out of your reach on their truck. They then call you claiming you’re over the weight or other variables that leads to an over-​inflated bill with the convenience of holding your items hostage. Triple Crown Maffucci tried to tack-​on extras in any shape or form imaginable; the ‘weight scam’ is only a fraction of the story. In the end, they lost and I won. The same men that picked my items up also delivered and they did an outstanding job. They are not the problem, the dishonest management and owners of this company are. Trust your possessions with a business that deserves to work with you on your relocation-​do your homework.
