Studio Rates:

-$ 60/​hr with an in-​house engineer

-$ 45/​hr with an apprentice engineer

-$ 550 day rate (10-​hour block)

-$ 400 room rate without an engineer

Meet the Business Owner

Garrett S.

Business Owner

Chief Engineer and Co-​Owner of Northfire Recording Studio, Garrett has been an engineer for over a decade and has varied and versatile experience. His history with recording began in high school when he home recorded friends’ bands with a cassette four-​track. Garrett went on to attend Berklee College of Music, earning a degree in Music Production & Engineering before interning at Blue Jay Recording Studio in Carlisle, MA.

Upon returning from living in Trinidad for a year, working at Caribbean Sound Basin, Garrett began the process of building Northfire. «I love the clients I get to work with. I love hearing a ton of great music,» says Garrett. «It’s really nice when things come together at the end of the mixing process and it just sounds right, and it sounds big and full and clear and gorgeous and just like it should. Recording is a creative process and you’re here to make art.»
