Gordy’s Garage & Towing Service

I also called this company twice because my car wouldn’t start and I wanted it towed to the dealer. It, too, never answered the phone! I’ll never call this company again either.

They have a driver names Tom. I was on a motorcycle ride on 8÷2÷14 and ran out of gas 6 miles from a gas station. I was stuck on a mountain road with no cell service at all. Out of nowhere here come a tow truck around a corner and I begin flagging him down. I ask the driver if he had any gas I could buy and he said yes. I was only going to buy a gallon but since my bike was running badly I asked if I could buy all he had for $ 10.00 «which was about 2 gallons» he said sure. After fueling up we shook hands and off we went. Now the reason Tom was on that mountain was a sad one there had been two motorcycle accidents that day and he was bringing one of the bikes down on his truck. My hat is off to Tom and Gordy’s for there great customer service and dedication. Thanks Again for everything.

I’ve only had one experience with this shop, but it was good. They towed my truck in, diagnosed it, and had me an estimate all in one day. They told me my truck would be ready by noon the following day, and it was actually ready by ten. They charged me exactly what they quoted me. Based on all this, I would highly recommend this shop.

I’ve been going to Gordy’s for years. The service has been great and the prices fair. When I had the engine rebuilt on my jeep, one of the motor mounts failed a couple of weeks later. I called Gordy’s ant their tow truck came promptly, picked up my car, took me home, before taking my jeep to the garage. They repaired the motor mount the next day and didn’t charge me for the tow or the repair

I’ve been taking my cars to Gordy’s for years. As a female I worry about car repair places, as I have encountered too many men who have tried to cheat me, thinking I know nothing about cars.
The Gordy’s crew are the best, honest and get the job done right. And if it isn’t right, you do not get charged again.

Uncaring owner… would stay away from them like the plague…

I’ve taken my car to Gordy’s a couple of times now and I’ve been happy with the service. They’re honest and they offer good general auto service at a fair price. I work right down the road so I felt very fortunate to be within walking distance of such a good repair shop. I’ll be going back.

Gordy’s Towing was at the top of the list when i did a Google search from my iPhone while stranded on the 2 South just off the 210. My timing belt had snapped, and it was 11 at night.
I first had tried using the iPhone app RepairPal, but that was a bad experience because i spent a good 15 – 20 minutes on the phone with their rep – who was clearly not trained in customer service or women stranded on a dark freeway in the mountains near midnight.
So I searched and found Gordy’s and called. And the woman who answered was pleasant and the Gordy’s tow truck was out there not 15 minutes later!
If only I had done the Goog search first, I wouldn’t have had to spend so long out there.
The tow truck driver was nice (but not creepy or overly interested) and prompt. He towed my car to my garage in Highland Park and then drove me home. :)
The whole thing was 95 bucks and he took a Visa. RepairPal quoted me 70 bucks, so it would have been cheaper, but I was already being towed away before RepairPal’s tower even showed up, so, hey, $ 25 extra bucks is good.
Also, the Gordy’s guy found me no problem, even though i was sort of in a difficult to describe area. I wasn’t really on the 210 or the 2. I was on the exit off the 210 onto the 2, but not on an exit ramp. The RepairPal guy had a lot of trouble figuring out what i was talking about. Which only made my adrenaline shoot up further.
So, if you’re broken down in the greater Pasadena area and need a tow, even late at night on a Saturday, call Gordy’s. :)
