History

Established in 2011.

The unique house was built in 1927 and it was the first Dr office in Alpharetta. It has been transformed in to a unique Italian restaurant that serves food like you remember from home. Each room has its own character and would be perfect for a family dinner or social event. The outdoor patio is heated and the front patio is perfect for a quiet dinner.

RUDE OWNER
So after reading such great reviews we thought to give this place a try. As soon as we reached a gentleman at the entrance rudely asked us to sit at a table outside in-​spite of mentioning that we had a reservation and would like to sit inside since it was little cold in the evening, we were simply asked either you sit outside or LEAVE, those were the exact word used by the person who later we found out was the owner. And to add to the insult we could see the tables empty inside of the restaurant.
When we further probed him on his absurdly rude behavior, he mentions that he didn’t want to clean the tables for us and again rudely asked us to leave if we can’t sit outside.
I have never ever experienced such a situation ever in my life. I would avoid this place at all cost one of the most arrogant person I have ever come across in my life.

I have been to thousands of restaurants over a lifetime and have never been subject to such rude service. We reserved a table in advance and upon arrival were seated on the outside patio which was cold for the ladies and even I was feeling cold with a jacket on. I requested seating inside but the owner just snapped and told me and our party to get out. What’s weird is that I was extremely friendly and polite. There were 2 empty tables inside, either of which could have accommodated our party.
The owner not only refused to communicate with me or my wife or any of the other members in my group (all dressed professionally) but told us to get out if we didn’t want to sit outside. As an alternative solution, I requested him to atleast close the patio awning doorway (a 20 second procedure) to avoid the cold air next to my seat but he refused to do so and told us atleast 3 times to get out. Horrible horrible service! Even the servers were embarrassed and were trying to be nice to us but he wouldn’t have it. Perhaps he was having a bad day. The most bizzare behavior I have seen!

Made a reservation at the restaurant /​in spite of 2 tables being empty inside we were seated outside. It is getting cold and we asked them if the could accommodate us inside in a few minutes. The owner /​manager, ‘Pasquale Cardamuro’ (found his name on the website) told us to sit outside or leave.
He started talking to us extremely rudely and kept on saying just leave. We did feel he was being racist and his tone and awful. When I asked him for his name he said ‘None of Your business’.
I have never come across someone like this who doesn’t know how to treat his customers. Everyone at the restaurant who was not ‘brown’ were given great service and he stood there talking to them and just ignoring us.
I would never go back to this restaurant and neither would I recommend it to anyone. Should have read previous reviews before trying a new place out.

My parents were in town for Thanksgiving and we wanted to go somewhere nice for dinner. I remembered passing this place before and decided to give it a try. We made a reservations and were seated right away. The atmosphere was quaint and perfect for a special dinner like an anniversary or Valentines Day. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgable about the menu. I enjoyed my food every much. The portions were perfect not too much not too little. My partner and I split the Teremasu and it was the best I’ve had. I would definitely come back here for a special occasion or a nice date night out.

Used to go here all the time. Tonight will be the last visit. If you have a child who likes to take half of his meal home to enjoy for lunch the next day don’t go here! The server said she would wrap it up his leftovers and it did not return to the table. She eventually returned and said the bus boy threw it away. Worst part is she went to speak to the owner to see if he wanted to do anything about it. The response was nothing. No dessert for him or anything. It is not like we pay with discounts or their food is low cost. We paid for it and you decide to throw it out and offer nothing but an apology from your server? He could not be bothered to even come over. PATHETIC

I love Italian food so I thought I would try this restaurant out. The Veal Saltimbocca was so tough I couldn’t even eat it. Our server was terrible. She had no knowledge whatsoever about the food and wine. We didn’t even see her during most of the meal. I would have been better off at Olive Garden. I will not be returning.

We didn’t get to enjoy the atmosphere, as it was a take out Birthday lunch for one of our girls at the office.
Usually Italian is not a great choice for lunch as it is to heavy; but this food was light and fresh. We had 6 different lunches and all was great! And if you like Calamari this is the place.
We will definitely be return customers!

From the outside it’s a cute place. Sit outside if weather permits. The owner was pleasant and came to our table to say hello. Our waiter was also nice but… let’s start with the food first. The arancini (rice balls) strangely have gargonzola cheese. Waaaay to overpowering for such an appetizer. The veal quality was poor. Maybe find a new purveyor. Too tough! Our waiter was a nice young man but we couldn’t find him when we needed him, which was often. If there was an option for 2.5 stars, then that’s what I would have given them. Just average. BUT… that’s not good enough, is it?

Excellent family Italian mom n pop restaurant!
In a corner house that’s been casually turned into a restaurant, Casa serves authentic Italian like we used to get back in Jersey. The owner comes out to make sure all is well, offering suggestions and helping the relatively young (and somewhat inexperienced) waitstaff.
Thankfully this ain’t no Olive Garden. The authentic Neapolitan food is the star at Casa. Nicely prepared Italian faves are served up fresh with an emphasis on light fare and seafood, and the ambience is casual enough for shorts and a t shirt, but you could make this a date night place, too, with a little dress up. You’d be equally comfortable either way.
You will enjoy La Casa if you’re looking for casual Italian, non-​chain restaurant in Alpharetta.

Let me first say the location and ambience are pleasant. Our waitress was polite and timely in the attention we were given. The food on the other hand was less than satisfactory. We had the Caprese for an appetizer. Normally you would see the cheese and tomato paired up one for one. Not here… they shorted you two pieces of mozzarella. Cheap. My wife had a pasta dish with chicken, I say with chicken but in fact it had two small slivers of chicken. $ 18 for substandard dish. My dish was the Saltimbocca and was not much better. The veal was very tough, obviously well over cooked and not very flavorful at all.
Italian is one of my all time favorites, and this restaurant was an utter disappointment. I struggle to give it two stars, but the food was a solid one star.

Ate there last night. Sat outside in the porch are which was a very pleasant area, minus the cheap battery plastic candles (please get real candles). My wife and I asked for the Caesar salad and always ask the waiter if they made the Caesar dressing. He replied right away — Yes! The salad came with a creamy Caesar dressing. If he meant making the dressing meant opening the can, he was correct. I should have been more specific.
We had the special of the day, the grouper on a bed of linguini with white wine sauce and other seafood. The fish, shrimp, mussels were cooked fine. But the definition of their white wine sauce is butter mixed with oil mixed with butter and a splash of white wine and cream. If you are a butter sauce lover, this is for you. Overall a nice place and if I go back, I would try the standard entrees like lasagna or eggplant parm.

Night two in Alpharetta and we found another great restaurant. Obviously a locals treasure, they treated us like regulars. Marianne was charming and took great care of us. We started with delicious Martini’s and appetizers. The mussels were cooked to perfection, tender and moist, unlike so many that overcook them and the sauce was unlike any other I have tasted, light, sweet and buttery. I’ve sampled mussels from Italy and all across the US and these are the best I have tasted. My main course was the Shrimp and Scallop special, with a side of Italian Sausage. Again delicious, except the Sausage had been cooked too long for my tastes. My wife’s Veal Saltimbocca was a little dry, but the pasta was excellent. We would take any friend or business associate there and feel we made a perfect choice.

50 reviews for a 3−½ star rating — yeah that’s about right. The physical restaurant is a 5; I like that it’s broken up, etc — gives smaller, more intimate feel. Service was very good — a 5. But the food was only a 3. The salad was good; had a veal dish and it was just so-​so. In particular the veal was tough, not cooked properly — something! Who knows maybe the problem is poor quality meat. Otherwise it had to be the chef — and I can’t believe that. But tough to say I’d go back if the primary reason you go to a restaurant — i.e., the food — is just so-​so.

Amazing food! We started with the mussels which were huge and fresh. And in stead of being thrown into a bowl of garlic butter. They shells were topped with a wonderful, creamy, sage sauce. Couldn’t help but soak up the extra with some bread. The pasta Bolognese was fresh and full of flavor. My date ordered the lobster ravioli, you could tell the pasta was homemade and packed a lot of lobster flavor, paired with nice vodka sauce. We finished our meal with a tiramisu, which was lite and extremely tasty. We will be back

Pasquale needs learn a thing or two about customer service. The food was about a 4 but I’m giving it a 3 because the service sucks so bad I actually would not go back! We ordered 3 entrées (party of 4) and I had the salad the Caesar salad. The dressing tasted like straight up vinegar. I hated it and I’m a Caesar salad lover! When I complained about it, basically Pasquale rolled his eyes and walked away from the table! He came back and TOSSED the menu at me saying here order something else.
Was it taken off the bill? NOPE.
A $ 10 CESAR SALAD that was really a side salad??($ 8 Cesar plus $ 2 for anchovies which should come on a standard Caesar salad anyway)
