Food was a solid 4. Ordered the mixed kebab platter. Made fresh and presentation was nice. Took about 10 – 15 to come out. Dropped a star because their website menu very clearly says the mixed kebabs come with two pieces of chicken and one beef and the platter only came with one each. Order the chicken or beef kebabs platter alone and you get three pieces for the exact same price. Not sure why you lose a kebab to get variety considering their own website menu states you get three and again, it’s literally the exact same price. Misrepresentation of portion size left me a little disappointed and still hungry. Don’t make the same mistake as me. Pro tip: AVOID the mixed kebabs unless you like to overpay!

I love this place! One my colleagues brought me here for lunch. I been to this location 3 times now. The KOFUTA plate is the one I always get. However, every time I go it feels like the portions are getting smaller.

Best chicken shawarma around! I only wish they opened earlier so I could get some on my way to work in the morning. Haven’t had anything else and I’ve been told their beef shawarma isn’t quite as good. However, service and taste has always been great. They have a grocery section where you can find interesting food items from all over the place. My personal favorite are chocolate-covered dates from Dubai. Definitely worth checking out!

Stopped in today with a friend who had never been before. I had fun introducing her to chicken schwarma as well as this location, where I’ve enjoyed the yummy food and friendly, prompt service. The menu includes all your standard Mediterranean favorites — the aforementioned chicken and beef schwarma, falafel, tabouleh, hummus, babaganoush, etc. I went with the affordable combo deal. For $ 8.99, you get the wrap of your choice plus one side and a fountain drink. If you go with a schwarma wrap, you’ll be asked if you want it spicy. We did, but there’s no need to be nervous. It wasn’t truly spicy at all. Instead, each bite was packed full of flavors. The wrap is very hearty, with the chicken still front and center despite being covered in crisp lettuce, picked turnips, and a host of other veggies and sauces. I also recommend the tabouleh salad as a side — you get about a half-cup of fresh, yummy tartness to offset the filling sandwich. If you have some time to kill after your meal, which will come out quickly and is made to order, you can peruse the grocery section of the store. The folks at Jerusalem Bakery stock a number of frozen and dry goods — everything from entrees to desserts, spices to beverages and treats. Speaking of treats, my friend and I split an exotic-looking Snickers bar. I am not sure if it was Arabic or Persian lettering on the wrapper, but the friendly woman behind the counter assured us that the taste IS different. I’m not sure about that, but hey. It’s a Snickers. It was good! :-)

This place is awesome for falafel! Unfortunately that is all I’ve had so far, keep going back to it because they are so good. The tubuli(sp) is excellent as well! Defiantly check it out if you like the middle eastern foods. I’m anxious to go back and try some more items.

Have been coming here since they opened and they don’t disappoint. Usually my wife and I get the falafel wrap and a shawarma platter. It’s always great! And then there’s the baklava… Always the best.

You know it’s authentic when you and the sweet mother packing freshly baked pita don’t understand each other and all communication is all through smiles(: It was my last morning in Atlanta and needed to find a damn good shawarma since that’s what I do wherever I travel. I came here around 10 in the morning(hey, shawarma time doesn’t choose) and seemed to me no one wanted to eat that early yet. We were greeted by the staff and a gentlemen who seemed to be the owner who guided us throughout the way. We ordered all beef shawarma’s which were absolutely delicious, but was pleasantly surprised of him packing us an additional chicken shawarma to try the meat and I’m glad he did! I ended up enjoying the chicken more than my actual order. All the fixs in and condiments on a traditional shawarma is there and everything was extremely fresh. As sides we had baba ganoush, hummus, and the tabouli salad. The baba ganoush had a nice smokey taste and wasn’t watery like most I’ve tried which made it my favorite(and because I love eggplants that much). The service provided in the short 15 minutes we were there grabbing food for the trip home was unbelievably wonderful and am beyond gracious for that. Will be my go to every time I come to Atlanta!

HUGE fan of this place. THE best falafel sandwiches I’ve EVER had, and the value is great. It’s located in a very diverse little shopping center next to an Indian grocery where I go for all my Indian cooking needs, but I’ll post a review about that place later! Decided to stop in after grocery shopping one day, and was immediately hooked — highly recommend if you’re in the area and you love Middle Eastern food. I’ve had the falafal, tabbouleh, the tahini salad, and a few other things — it’s all OUTSTANDING. Go to there. Now!

I love the Jerusalem Bakery in Marietta, so I kind of knew I’d love this one here too. Now that I permanently live in Brookhaven, I may have to drive up to Alpharetta instead of Marietta(weekend traffic is horrible on this side of town). Parking — Amazzzingggg. So many spots. Lot is HUGE. Very pleased this location also chose a healthy parking lot… Bc I’m pretty sure they get slammed during Lunch and Dinner time. If I lived closer, I’d be here weekly. Space — The market makes up half the shop. The other half are tables and chairs. This location isn’t as big as the Marietta one. I recommend coming at an off hour. Ha. I didn’t — I had to wait 7ish mins to get a table. Service — Super nice folks. You order at the register(as well as your market stuff) and wait. Only thing I wish they had — a machine that showed #s. It can get loud inside sometimes. Or maybe if they had a intercom? Food — Hummus is awesome. Nom nom. So is the bread. House made I believe. I swear, every time I crave hummus, I go to a Jerusalem Bakery. They give you so much too! Chicken Shawarma(sp?) — Still super delicious. Meat is cooked perfectly. The sauces added go well together. The ingredients are fresh. Nom. Craving this as I type. My bf ordered the pepperoni pizza(I don’t know why) — it was good. Unsure if they use their own bread for this? Lol. Regardless, crust was fine.

Ahhhh, so THIS is where you’ve been hiding my tasty Middle eastern meals! When me and a friend went to Jerusalem Bakery, you can be taken aback a little, because everyone is moving around… FAST, but just follow your aroma to the counter to place your order. I got the Chicken Shawarma plate($ 11.99), because all I saw on Unilocal was Chicken Shawarma + amazing. The soft drink(Fountain) was $ 1.69 One thing we didn’t realize while talking, was they give you your receipt with a number on it. LISTEN for that number(we did not), because they yell it out. Once we figured that out, we were off to eating. The Chicken Shawarma plate looked lovely, as the chicken and greens were in the center, while the hummus was surrounded the chicken in a ring, with garnish. Along with it all came two really nice, really large warm and fluffy pita. You just couldn’t stop the flavor of the chicken, which was seasoned great and said«hello» at every bite. It was very tender, not at all chewy, and blended well with everything else on the plate. Sometimes when you order hummus, it can be a little grainy, or lacking in flavor, or both. The hummus at Jerusalem was very smooth, and had flavor all its own, that went excellent with the pita, as a dip, or combined with a forkful of chicken. Located in a little strip of stores, There’s plenty of parking, and while we came just before 1pm, there were plenty of seats available in this seat yourself bakery. The sad part about Jerusalem Bakery, is I didn’t get to try any of their sweets, like their Baklava. That’s next visit though. Definitely stop on in if you’re in the area… this is a place to not be missed!

I was craving for a chicken Swarma sammie and decide to trek 20 minutes north to Marrietta. It’s located in a strip mall with a gold dome adjacent to I-75. They have a patio and an indoor dining. The style is fast casual and they offer a generic middle eastern cuisine and pizza. They have both lamb and chicken gyro meat and an array of condiments visible from the order counter. I tried their chicken Swarma sandwich special with humus and a fountain beverage for $ 9.95. It was about a 10 minute wait. Their portions were generous but the price was about double what I usually pay for these sandwiches too. The Sammie was about the size of a regular burrito than a traditional Lebanese Swarma. My humus was a about 5 oz. and I tried a strawberry soda that was pretty good. The thing is everything was all very BLAND… rather tasteless. Definitely not enough garlic nor lemon. Their service was very good, nice and friendly. For what I tried, they offer generic Mediterranean food. I won’t be coming back for their sammies. Aladdin’s on Roswell is much better and cheaper. Adjacent to the restaurant is their bakery that seems to be a better choice. They offer fresh pita(soft and yummy), desserts like baklava and others and a refrigerated section of yogurts and beverages.

«Let’s skip out on the wiki facts and focus on the food. I’m trying to find out what to order on the Unilocal app before the server gets back.» [Time & Date of visit]: Weekday nights [Party Size]: 2 [Location/Ambiance]: Located on the west bound side of States Bridge /Old Milton, it’s easier making a U-turn getting into the plaza. Which it itself is fairly quiet and empty. So parking spaces are plentiful. Leaving on the other hand when it’s still rush hour traffic 4−7ish pm, is going to be a headache though. Inside — The restaurant is quite spacious. Random assortment of four top booths and tables in the middle, which could be pushed together for groups. Casual, not too busy décor. Ambiance is inviting and casual. Noise level is below average. [Service]: Self serve — Order and pick up the counter, and bus your own table. Drinks and other condiments are self serve in their respected station areas. Looking for a to go box or container? On the right side of the pick up counter has all you need. Food order came out in a fairly good time. Though there were more people taking to go that came in before, my food was ready in under 10 mins or so. [Food Highlights]: Chicken Shawarma platter — Be hungry if you are ordering this. If not, go for the combo meal instead. Juicy seasoned chicken atop a bed of hummus, with diced pickles and radish I believe with two sides of pita bread. Honestly, both the pickle and radish go quite well with each bite of the chicken and hummus. I recommend, tearing a piece of the pita, dipping it into the hummus and place some chicken and diced pickles and/or radish. Must try, one of the best chicken shawarma that I’ve had so far in Atlanta. Falafel — For a side, this comes with about 12 pieces and I wish they had a half order option. It’s not bad, but they did over cook it a little over well and without the dipping sauce would be dry. [Total Bill w/Tip & Tax]: With a drink, my order came to about $ 22 with tax and tip. A little much for one person, but it was a sizeable portion of food. {Summary}: Hands down, the best chicken shawarma in town. Just about every place that I’ve tried this dish, usually the chicken is overly dry and not worth trying. But I’m glad I decided to kill some time dining in instead of sitting in traffic. Anxious to try my other Mediterranean cuisine favorites on the next visit. 4 stars overall.

It was getting pretty late; my friend and I were heading over to the Avalon and stopped here for a quick dinner. The interior was clean: half of the establishment was a bakery/store selling ethnic foods and hookahs, the other a restaurant. We both got the shawarma wraps; I got the beef and my friend got the chicken. Each of them are around $ 7.00, price comparable to a chipotle burrito. As we waited for our food, we wandered to the store side, walking through the aisles and looking at the glass display lined with baklava and other sweets. The employees were kind, answering all my questions and what not. After our number was called, we chose our toppings. I just went with the works: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, red cabbage, pickles, tahini sauce and garlic sauce. I also got it spicy, which was pretty mild. The sandwich was a good balance, the fresh vegetables and the smooth tahini sauce. My main problem was the beef: it was a bit tough and dry, and was probably sitting on the spinning rack since the beginning of the day. I understand that, but it made the shawarma wrap lacking the savoriness from the beef. I respect this restaurant, and will probably visit earlier in the day to get a fresher portion of meat. The wraps were a bit on the small side, so I’d recommend to get a shawarma platter.

When you get inside, you’ll see two different areas. There’s the counter for ordering surrounded by a lot of seating, and then off to the side you will find an area where they sell pita bread and a lot of other goods. You order at the counter and they’ll call you up when your food is ready. It didn’t take long at all for our food to be ready! I ordered the Chicken Shawarma. You can get just the sandwich for $ 6.99, or make it a combo and get the sandwich, a side, and a drink for $ 8.39. I decided on the latter and chose hummus as my side, and it automatically comes with pita for dipping. The sandwich is pita bread wrapped around chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, red cabbage, pickles, tahini sauce, & garlic sauce. You can also ask them to make it spicy if you like. Plenty of flavor and fresh veggies! I really liked it for the most part, although the chicken was a little dry and I would have liked some more of that yummy sauce. I still really enjoyed it, though! The hummus is better than what you would buy at the store. We also ordered pistachio baklava($ 1.99) for dessert. Yummy & sweet! The girl at the counter was really nice and even gave a couple pieces of another dessert that I can’t remember the name of, but it was good too! Good prices, good food, and good service! I wouldn’t mind eating here again!

Great little spot for lunch and dinner in Alpharetta. One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the area. I can’t recommend this place enough. They have ample seating for a decent amount of people, but I wouldn’t rely on that too much. They get packed around lunch time and it can be difficult finding a seat at times. That’s a compliment to how popular this place is. The menu(link included below) is full of options from sandwich/shawarma, meat platters, and even pizza to name a few. Part of the restaurant is bakery and grocery store as well so if you need to get some groceries shopping you can, but only if it’s Mediterranean you’re looking for. Haven’t tried out any of the baked pastries yet, so I’ll update this review with that info as soom as I can. Prices are affordable and you get a great amount of food. Definitely«the spot» for Mediterranean cuisine in Alpharetta. My Recommendations: –Chicken Shawarma Menu:

This Alpharetta Location: 2 Stars The Marietta Location: 5 Stars Since I love Jerusalem Bakery’s Marietta location I was looking forward to going to their Alpharetta location. What a disappointment. =-( Don’t go for Dinner ! Maybe this is just good for lunch but at Dinner you pay $ 11.99 for a small amount of dried-out Chicken Shawarma with pita and store bought humus ! The Baba Ganoush came in a tiny styrofoam dish and was expensive at $ 3.99. I’m figuring they charged me over $ 25 a pound for it. Our dinner cost a whopping $ 39.00 for 2 small Chicken Shawarma Plates, 1 Chicken Wrap Combo and 1 side of Baba Ganoush. No drinks. No dessert. The restaurant tables had a layer of dust on them and the inside seating area was well over 85 degrees. The entire area near the bathrooms smelled like Lysol and Urine(not in that order) and they had put yellow caution signs on the wet floor. I have to wonder if 3 bus loads of school children had made a pit stop at their bathrooms while on a field trip somewhere. Just clean it up? There is no waiter service. As you are sitting there trying to eat your food with their flimsy cheap plastic utensils, the men 3 feet away standing behind the counter constantly shout out order numbers. If a customer doesn’t come pick up their food fast enough they start screaming even Louder. Who needs that? I couldn’t get out of there fast enough ! The only reason they got 2 stars was the adorable young lady at the cash register.
