Super friendly staff, convenient hours, love being able to see him playing throughout the day

Disappointed. We took Daisy a few weeks ago for her interview. The staff seemed caring and said that Daisy had an A+ day, she loved playing. Daisy is a 60 pound boxer mix, 9 mos. old and loves to play. This Saturday, we decided to take her for her first big day at Camp Bow Wow and dropped her off around noon on the way to a festival. They put her in the «low energy» yard. We reminded them that Daisy was high energy and likes to play A LOT. They said they would move her if she wasn’t playing enough.
Around 5pm, driving back from the festival, we decided to peek in on the web cam. My husband watched for about 20 minutes while I was driving. Daisy was still in the «low enegry» yard and spent the entire 20 minutes running and hiding from a dog that was trying to hump her. She was run and sit, and run and sit behind the lady in the yard. When Daisy sat down, the dog would try to hump another dog. They lady in the yard did not do anything to discourage the behavior. A few times, Daisy peered over into the «high energy» yard and the lady did manage to spray her in the face with water. I wish she would have sprayed the humping dog instead. After watching for 20 minutes, we finally called and asked them to remove Daisy from the yard and explained why.
When we arrived, we asked the lady at the desk what their policy was on this behavior. She was very nice and said that they don’t encourage that behavior and if a dog continued to try to hump other dogs, they would remove it. That did not happen. Thank goodness for the cameras.
We are pretty confident that Daisy didn’t get to play much at all, but instead was running from the other dog. We had hoped that this would be a good outlet for Daisy to get some fun exercise, but instead, she was just stressed out. She would have been better off if we had left her at home in our yard alone on Saturday.

We LOVE Camp Bow Wow! The only negative is that it is too far for me to bring my dog regularly! Whenever I ask Peanut if he wants to go to «camp» he starts jumping around in circles — he can’t wait to go! It always makes my family feel good that we are leaving our dog in the best possible hands when we go away. The people that work there have always been terrific. I promise they aren’t paying me and I don’t own the place! ;-) It is just that my dog is always happy there and I am happy that I don’t have to worry about him at all when we are out of town.

I love how friendly the staff is and how much they love my dog, Roxy! She is always so happy and excited when I drop her off and pick her up! Thank you!

We have used Camp Bow Wow for both day care and boarding and could not be happier. Our three Schnauzers really enjoy their time there and come home happy and tired! We enjoy being able to view the cameras and check in on them and the staff really enjoys their work with the «campers!» I also appreciate that the staff is willing to feed our own food without charging me more to do so!
I have used other premium boarding facilities before and really appreciate how everything is included in the price at Camp Bow Wow.
I cannot recommend them highly enough! They are great and our «campers» really enjoy going there and get super excited when they realize where they are going.

Never ever ever will I deal with them again.
Tried to set up a grooming, her staff was very misinformed. The woman (manager?) I spoke to was very very very rude.
I will go out of my way to tell people at the dog park about this horrible place. Please get your people on the same page if they are going to give out ‘bad’ information.

I am unemployed, I have been trying to find a place to get my dog groomed (I have tried to groom my dog, it did not work out well.). With all the heat my dog is having a rough time, I have never had a dog that needed grooming, I have trimmed him in the past.
At the dog park I asked around if anyone knew who trained dog groomers? (I was told there was a school that teaches, but they do not anymore). Perhaps they could use my dog as a ‘training’ dog? A dog owner mentioned this company, and specifically a ‘great’ groomer. This person at the dog park works for this company and was very proud of the company– a good sign.
I then called and spoke to a very very nice person, explaining my situation. That person, a groomer, explained to me that they had unfortunately, finished their training, but they would ‘see what they could do and would call me back’ («I will see what I can do” — very pleasant on the phone). I understood. I never got a call back as promised. I tried to call back a few times.
I called back to see what the situation was (not «asking for a free grooming” — I did explain my situation, not remembering the nice persons name I had spoken to before) the woman I spoke to (who wrote the below message) was very rude. I know that her workers are hard working and get paid for their work– all I wanted was the promised return phone call. All that person had to do was (nicely) explain the situation and I would have been done with it. Again– the groomer was super-​nice and simply wanted to hear back from them. It never hurts to ask.
That was not the case– the owner on the phone was very aggressive and nasty to me. If you want business there is a nice, and not nice way to be… Who knows– maybe once I find a job I might need a great groomer? and maybe I would then share that great experience with others? The first person was genuinely that nice on the phone. Imagine my disgust when dealing with the ‘owner’. (I am using gender neutral pronouns to protect that person). I hold no ill-​will towards the groomer or the other person who was trying to be very kind– and LOVE their wonderful dog!
Nope. She was very rude.
I hope that if this person ever needs a favor or kindness that someone kicks them when they are down.

Camp Bow Wow in Alpharetta IS a part of our family. My dog Dinka, a Cockapoo (English Cocker Spaniel, Poodle mix) is a high energy 2 ½ year old that we brought back from England with us after a corporate work assignment ended earlier than I would’ve liked… Dinka is my little Brit in residence and he’s a very special part of our family — he’s my child! The entire staff is amazing and they greet him at the front door everyday — sometimes everyone and call out his name as he runs to them. It warms my heart that someone else cares as much for him as we do!!!
Healthy food, lots of love and attention, cleanliness, no doggie smell, and wonderful hours that allow me flexibility w/​half days and full days.

Awesome place! I have taken my Cooper to a couple of different places, but he LOVED this one. The Staff is friendly and professional. The Live Cams are wonderful and give a great peace of mind.
He stayed for three nights and I will definitely take him back for Day Camp.

I have a Miniature Husky, that requires a TON of exercise, and with my busy schedule, Doggie Day Care has been so great to get all of her energy out during the day. Everyone is so nice and welcoming at Camp Bow Wow, and my Luna pup comes home a little angel. :)

I have been looking for a play group for my Golden (Jake) for awhile now. Finding Camp Bow Wow has been just what I was looking for. A group of dogs that are able to play freely with each other for a few hours a day. Jake loves it! He is tired and has been excerised and been social, just what he needed and we were looking for.

We drop our two dogs for day care at Camp Bow Wow practically every weekend while we play golf. We have two rescues, one is 90 pounds and the other is half that size. Both our dogs have different personalities and temperaments, but neither has experienced any problems while playing here. We have tried and looked at quite a few other day care centers, but this is the only one we use now! The cost is very reasonable and the facility is well maintained. The cameras and on line access to them do need to be improved, but alot of places do not have any cameras. Our dogs come home happy and very tired from all the activity. The employees always seem very knowledgeable about each dog’s day. They routinely recognize our dogs by sight and welcome them when we arrive. It’s tough to keep them from jumping over the gate when we arrive because they are sooooo excited to be there! We highly recommend this place for sure.

Camp Bow Wow is a wonderful place to take your dog to play for the day or stay while you’re out of town! We’ve been coming to this location for several years and have always enjoyed the staff, and have found them to be very knowledge and dependable when it comes to our little buddy.
Our dog requires a special diet and can’t have the typical treats or dog food that most dogs can. Camp Bow Wow goes out of there way to make sure he doesn’t get any food or treats that would make him sick, which is very comforting especially when leaving him for a few days. They are also extremely friendly and caring with the best interest of the dogs at heart.
The best part about Camp Bow Wow is the overall concept. You can leave your dog overnight if you headed out of town, or you can take your dog there for the day to play and socialize with other dogs. When you leave your dog for overnight stays, they will get to play in the morning and afternoon with other dogs so by the time night rolls around they are exhausted instead of being locked up in a kennel a day. In the afternoons the dogs have a chance to eat lunch and rest. Then back to the play yard for more fun. There is even an indoor and outdoor play yard the dogs can run between if the weather is nice.
One of our favorite features is that you can literally watch your dog play on your computer or smartphone while they are there. It’s so great to see our happy dog running around and in good spirits while we are away. We’ve also always been allowed to go in back and see the kennel that our dog is staying in as well as the play yards. Plus we can bring his bed and a toy for him, which is probably more comforting for us than it is to him.
From somebody who has tried other places and been disappointed with the care and attention our pet has received, I can truly say that Camp Bow Wow delivers top notch pet service.

Camp Bow Wow Alpharetta always take great care of my dogs. My dogs have been going there for 3 years. I have never seen any cruelty and they always take a overly caring stance. I have no concept of how people are giving this place one star unless they are part of the «competition» and trying to bring this Camp’s reputation down.
This location has always been the utmost professional and caring.

I took my dog here for his first trial/​interview day. I was not very happy with the service or facility. The lobby was nice but that was about it. The place looked small and crowded and smelled bad. The staff did not make us feel like they cared about or dog, did not offer to take us on a tour, and did not ask us if we had any questions or concerns. I thought that when we came for the interview we would sit down and talk about my dog. She just took the dog for two minutes and then came out and said he was doing well and said I could leave. When I asked her for a tour she grudgingly took me into the back. I could not see anything and could not even see the play pens or my dog. The whole place was filled with kennels with dogs locked up and barking loudly. I was not impressed. The camera in play pen 1 where my dog was was so blurry I could barely see anything. We have found a different place that has 24 hour cage free boarding.

My dog has been going to Camp Bow Wow since the Duluth location opened. When this location opened, I started bringing my dog here when I needed a kennel. I love this place. When I am gone, I can watch him online or even on my iPhone during the day. Although the Duluth location is alright, I really love the staff at the Alpharetta location, they are great, very attentive. It is obvious the owner, Jeanette, really cares about dogs and makes sure this place is top notch. I travel frequently so my dog, Oliver, ends up here quite a bit. I always feel just fine leaving town knowing my dog is in good hands. Thanks Camp Bow Wow, Jeanette, and all of the wonderful staff who care for my dog when I am out of town!

I have been taking my three dogs there since they opened. They love it there. I never have to worry about them. As long as I have an internet connection I can watch them play all day via their doggie cams!!! They have a fabulous caring staff who are always excited to see my babies. This is the best place hands down to bring your best friend :)
