Ordered biryani an hour ago. came here and guess what someone took our order and the owner says the person who took it will come back and return and we have it pick that one. The front desk guy behaves rudely stating whether you want the order or not? Will not try this place again. Bad Customer service, totally disappointed !!

Why can’t Indian Restaurant get the order together? This time we dined in and ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Malai Kofta(Chef Special) and two Naan. We wanted Rava Masala Dosa but the server told us that it would take 20 odd minutes, so we went with Mysore Masala Dosa. Well the Dosa cam first and was warm not hot off the pan! Mysore Masala Dosa has red garlic chutney smeared on the Dosa which was not there and asked the server and he insisted that it was indeed Mysore Masala Dosa but I know it was not, but I will go with it. The Malai Kofta(Chef’s Special) was good but nothing special! It was more a vegetable Kofta than Malai Kofta. This seems to be the dine-in story with this establishment. Great place for a take-away but not for dine-in.

The two visits to the restaurant made me realize that the staff thinks the food served cold is best. Happened twice with us. Went for the lunch and only Thali was the option with limited dishes. Was not able to identify between the 3 Veg they serve except thin curry which was like water itself which was easily visible. The quantity of food was good but they will serve mentioned no of Naans/Chapati when asked for. The only thing i liked was the samosa which was also cold. The price was also much higher as compared to the other Indian restaurants in Alpharetta and also was not justified… Visit if you only want to have Biryani which is good there.

If this place needs to run they need to get rid of servers from mayuri. They are arrogant careless waiters I have ever seen. We went to get some dinner at bawarchi and they took forever to take orders and bring our food.

Finally got a chance to try this place — yay! There are some mixed Unilocal reviews for this place — but from what I can see, most of the negative comments are about the service. Let me try to set the record straight. In my experience with Indian food, the service is VERY hands off. They are not like typical America restaurants where the servers hover over you every two second and bring you refill on that super large coke. It just isn’t part of the culture. Personally, I like the hands off approach a lot better. My experience at Bawarchi was fantastic. Everything from the service to the food was top notch. The staff is very friendly and are happy to answer any questions you have about the menu. The menu itself has full of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. But it is clear that Biryani is their specialty. I love Chicken Tikka Masala. It is my absolutely favorite Indian dish of all time. I have to try it at every Indian restaurant. Seriously. This place does it right. The chicken is cooked to perfection in served with the super tasty, wee bit spicy, creamy sauce. The flavors were fantastic. The naan is so good. I prefer plain naan so it doesn’t override the flavor of the masala — but their garlic naan is good too. The décor is simple and not overstated — but the place is clean and you can tell that they take pride in their place. I will definitely be back to Bawarchi soon. Bön apetit!

This is a new establishment that has come around and its best if it’s avoided till they get their act in place. The service was quite slow although they were only half full. Now comes the worst part. The Biryani that we ordered was pathetic. The chicken used was stale. It has a funny taste. It appeared that they had made days back and just heated in microwave. The serving bowl was chipped(and this is a new restaurant). The water glass tasted and smelt of plastic. They have too many dishes but no quality or taste. An advise, if you want Biryani surely avoid this place.

Best Biryani which i had so far in Atlanta area. To go fills up 1 guy completely. Being a Hyderabadi and always in search for places who serve Biryani which is more authentic, this Biryani came close and quenched my taste buds. The basmati rice was well done, aromatic the grains were long and not sticking to each other(little over colored though). Chicken and mutton peices were well cooked, not dhummed but tasted good. Quantity matched the Rice. Mirchi salan was also good and went well with biryani. Thanks for the Biryani folks. Keep up the good work.

Located near North Point Mall is yet another biryani restaurant. I came here on a friend’s recommendation and also reading the reviews of my fellow Unilocalers. Food ~ I ordered the Chicken Dum Biryani, which I have included a picture of. Even though the biryani was good, it was a little too pricey for how much I was paying. They charged $ 10.99 for one plate of biryani, even though the size wasn’t agreeing with the price. The food wasn’t excellent, but is wasn’t horrible either. Service ~ Our waiter didn’t really come to check on us that much. He only came once after taking our order. This was probably because there was a pretty big group eating as well at the same time as us. He was a nice man though, he was polite while taking our order. Environment ~ The environment was a little messy(again, probably because of the big group), but other than that is was fine. Many employees were cleaning up and making the tables look clean. Bawarchi Biryani Point did not really impress me. I might come back again to try something else(something a little cheaper). Unfortunatley, these guys lost some points on the price. but other than that I give this place a 3⁄5 rating. Hope you enjoy if you come here!

Worst experience ever. We came for a birthday celebration of friend with a group of 10 people. Its took 2 and half hours to finish our dinner. They have never filled out water again for the entire time, servers have no idea what they are serving, and food tastes really bad. Chicken biryani– chicken was not cooked properly Mutton — we have got more bones than meat Kheema biryani– It was smelling bad Appetizers — They were really awesome, especially chicken 999 Naans/curries — most of the curries we ordered tasted good, but the quantity was very less Over all, if you have couple of hours to kill for food, then you can visit the place. I had food at roswell road bawarchi, that food was amazing, am surprised to know management is same

Worst service ever. Here are some statements from the servers to our questions … Is this veg or non veg? — I have no idea, walks away Is this(dish name) ? — I have no idea He(a colleague) did not get his order? — Server smiled shakes his head and leaves They opened the location recently but need to get their act together. The staff attitude ranges from disregard for customers to lack of empathy. A group of 10(office group) visited for Friday lunch on 4⁄17. One of my colleagues did not receive rice with his order. When mentioned to the guy at the register all he asked was«are you done» eating and then went on to take the credit card for payment. No discounts etc. This despite telling him twice. Another colleague did not receive his order at all while the rest of us were done eating but the poor guy was still waiting. This despite repeatedly informing the assortment of servers. The servers were mostly clueless and that goes double for the guy at the register. The guy at the register collected the payments with equal cluelessness and made no attempt to apologize for the inconvenience. We got there at 12PM. The first 4⁄10 orders came to us at 12:40PM and that too incomplete. The food was A+ and that’s why the single star rating. But the service is beyond pathetic and at the end of our experience we were all left with a bad taste in our mouths.
