Susan K. Bates Electrology

I wish there were a NO star rating as this would be my first choice. I am not a complainer and very rarely post a review (this is my 2^nd or 3^rd and the others were for Amazon purchases)
Shockingly in this day and age, I have encountered a blatant in-​my-​face DISCRIMINATION from Susan Khaladj Bates (she posts as Susan Bates here) who is the sole operator of her home-​based «salon».
Ouch! Here in Boston, MA in 2013? Wow!
Here is what happened:
Initially, Susan eagerly accepted me as a new client and fitted right in. She seemed to have several openings the same week and plenty for weeks after.
On my 1^st (and last) visit she spent about 35 mins going over my personal information and the minutiae of electrolysis procedure.
Surprisingly, she asked me questions that are outside the clinically necessary information, including whether or not I am employed (I am) and where exactly I worked, which raised a small red flag but I disregarded that at the time.
Then she treated me for about 20 mins (for which she charged as if she worked 30n mins) but this is minor and not the reason I am writing this review.
Her technique (moderately heavy hand) and the results (inflammation persisted for more than a week) were mediocre — but this also not why I would write a review.
Susan harped several times about the importance of continuity of treatments and wished to schedule my next appointment right away. As I was unsure of my availability for the next week, we agreed I’d call as soon as I figure that out.
When I contacted her next week, she was — in marked difference from her previously eager manner — strangely evasive on the phone and said she was not feeling well. She left it at that at which point I wished her speedy recovery and said Id call in a couple of days. It was a little strange that she did not want to schedule me for the week
When I called the week after, the story repeated: Susan mumbled that she is not really feeling well and at that time I started to get curious about her reasons.
Upon my third or fourth attempt (a month after the onset of her curious «sickness», Susan at first tried to play the same «sickness» game, then said that her schedule is so full she cannot take new clients (which I was not as she already accepted me for the treatment) but then stated that she CHOOSES TO REFUSE ME AS A CLIENT — no explanations.
After my request for clarification, she said she has «her reasons» but was unable and/​or unwilling to articulate this any further.
I am furious I have been so blatantly discriminated and deceived by this «professional» who — despite being from another country (much like myself) and likely to have experienced discrimination first hand — is perpetuating this ethical and legal violation.
This makes me wonder about other ugly skeletons in Susan’s professional closet. What else would she think she is entitled to do (not do) with her clients?
Next step — my complaint to whatever regulation board the electrologists got.
