Great shop. Took in my three year old boots that I’d pretty much worn holes through. They rebuilt the heels and replaced the soles in less than a day and for only $ 75.

Great place to get your shoes fixed! I stopped in to get 2 pairs of worn out, dis colored heels fixed and within an hour they were completely fixed and in perfect condition as if I had just purchased them! The men working there are very sweet, kind, old men. It’s a small business & they accept cash only. I tip them generously every time I visit. Great business, great work done! Highly recommend.

Brought in a $ 90 pair of boots with a broken zipper on one boot during my lunch break. He offered to replace the entire zipper for $ 40 or repair the broken stitches for $ 25. Obviously for a $ 90 pair of boots, I chose the repair. Like most of these places, he asked for a deposit, and took down my phone number. He said they’d be ready in a matter of hours. Sure enough, when I came back 4 hours later, my boot was by the register waiting for me. I paid the rest of the $ 25 (cash only), and went on my way. The zipper looks and zips as if it were brand new — you’d never know it was repaired. Very happy with the service they provided.

A+++ Brought in a well worn pair of oxfords that I’ve almost worn through on the sole. He put on thicker soles for me, and fixed the heals too. Gave them a nice polish and they look like new, and feel like my old trusty shoes! The owner even threw in a complimentary hole punch in my belt for me. I’m defiantly coming back!

I visited this shoe repair shop hoping that they could resolve my shoe problem. I purchased a pair of dress shoes from DSW the other day. It turned out that, the height of the left shoe was slightly too high and it was hurting my left foot. I brought it to here and asked if they could lower it. The guy (the owner?) said, he can make the insole a little higher so that it won’t hurt my foot. That was an idea! I did not think that way. He made the adjustment right away. Took him like 5 minutes. It resolved the problem! The fee was 20 bucks, and it was worth it! I paid 120 bucks for the pair, and now I can wear them comfortably! Thank you!

I came here based on the good reviews (and it was walking distance from my house), but I felt a little ripped off. First off, the shop is really dirty and gross. If anyone’s been to 7As locksmith, I kind of felt like I was walking in there. Just clutter and dirt everywhere.
Anyways, I showed Morris (I’m assuming it was Morris) two pairs of riding boots that needed zipper repair. I was blown away when he quoted me $ 25 per pair, and tried to continue upselling me. One of the zippers really just needed a bit of superglue for the little pull that came off, but I’m not coordinated and was afraid I’d mess that up, which is why I brought them in; I thought it would be a $ 5 fix. He then told me the zipper on the other foot was going to break. I said it was OK, I never zip down that far anyway (it was way down by the heel,) but then he grabbed the boot out of my hand and started zipping it all the way down to intentionally break it so he would have to fix it. I was astounded and appalled. I had already handed over my other boots for him to fix (I was already there and just needed to get them fixed by the end of the week), otherwise I would have left on the spot. He then offered to do the 2^nd pair for $ 20, which I declined. It was just a really, really sketchy experience and I walked away angry.
However, the pair of boots he did fix, were done within 2 hours and the zipper seems to be holding up just fine. I think I got ripped off pretty badly and likely wouldn’t recommend it, especially when my friend found a place in Brookline to do essentially the same thing for her boots but for less than half the price I paid.
Also, it’s cash only.

I brought a pair of boots here to have the zipper repaired on one boot and have them re-​heeled. They were able to do the repair in under two hours (they could have done it in one hour but I wasn’t in a rush)! Very friendly & efficient service – will definitely come back if other shoes need repairs!

The owner did an amazing repair of one of my fancy leather coats that had a cut in the back. I brought it in last minute right before new years and unlike other places that turned me down, he fixed it that day for an amazing price. It is still intact after many uses and I am so grateful! Thank you for accommodating me and for fixing it! Planning to bring my shoes for repair.

I had a great experience here. I took my favorite leather boots, which were beaten up almost beyond repair. The soles were completely worn through, toe and heel were worn down to holes and the zippers were broken.
I initially had the toe/​heel fixed and the soles replaced for $ 60. When I went back, I decided to have the zippers fixed too. They did it for $ 20 per boot since it needed to be hand-​stitched. Again, great job. This is a cute little place, the man who runs the shop is very sweet, and he does excellent work.

These guys are amazing! They have fixed every single thing I have ever taken in there shop. Don’t judge a book by its cover. :) This shop has been used by COLE HAAN to do repairs on their clients shoes. I’ve personally taken our Cole Haan shoes in, leather pieces from other countries as well as attaché bags and more. They try and match up hardware you may be missing… they do it all. Go see them! Parking can be tough, yet it’s worth it if you have nice pieces to be repaired.

This place is great for a quick, simple fix on the cheap. I’ve come here twice to get my shoes re-​heeled (and I wasn’t even sure if the shoes were salvageable), and they did a great job. My shoes were fixed within 10 minutes to an hour depending on their backlog of work and I paid less than $ 15.
I wouldn’t come here to fix anything extremely expensive or do anything overly complicated though. These guys seem more like pros at dealing with small issues, but not high end leather experts. When you walk into the store, it sort of feels like a scene from a mafia movie where the store is some sort of front. The storefront is pretty messy, with shoe machines that look like they’ve been around since the Industrial Revolution. The place smells like oil and leather, and if you come at lunch you can see a bunch of guys eating lunch in the middle of the shop. It’s pretty unique!
Finally, it’s cash only, so don’t forget to bring money.

I have taken my favorite boots here already about 5 times in the last 3 years, and they always come back looking great — he replaced the zippers, often replaces the heel tips I wear down to the bone, shines them up looking like new — fast and cheap, just like i like it. cash only people — come with a $ 20 on hand and that should be plenty.

I realized on the day I was heading up to an out of town wedding that my heels needed replacement heel tips. I called Morris Shoe Repair. I talk to, who I assume was Morris himself, who said he’d be able to do it while I waited. Not only did he replace the rubber tips, but he smoothed down the whole heel, and buffed and touched up the leather, in less than 10 minutes and for only $ 18.
This is a real, old school cobbler. Felt like I walked back in time when I entered. Would definitely go back!

I just got my leather boots fixed. They look so much better than they were!!! I’ve been using my boots for 2 years and they were damaged… I repeat DAMAGED!
I got the heels, the soles and the front parts of the boots which was faded done. It was $ 45; quite expensive but better than buying new boots. I also got the extra heel guards for $ 5. It took them around a day to do their thing. They only except cash so be prepared. But if you own a bank of america account, there’s an ATM right by.

No attention to detail and no pride in work. Took a leather case in to repair water damage and it came back looking worse. He said he could stain it black to get the water damage covered… sure he stained it it black but left all the metal parts and bits covered in the stain. Had to buy turpentine and clean it up myself.
There are much better leather places in Boston!

Fixed my leather coat. Steve provided service like it used to be given. Great job and instant personalized service, like I was the only one that mattered. Drove into Boston from Andover based on Unilocal reviews.
Traffic was horrendous, I called while standing in traffic to ask if I would make it in time and Steve said he would remain open past 6pm. Given the distance, Steve fixed the coat — on the spot, while I waited. Price was fair & I tipped given the great service — even with tip price was still good.
What more can anyone ask of a service provider. I am thinking of driving my shoes for work there.

this place is awesome. I went to see if they could save this pair of cheap sandals so i could wear them the rest of the summer. I dropped them off and then forgot all about them. The next year I was looking for my sandals and remembered I had brought them there. I went to see if they actually would have still had them and low and behold they did!!! The still had my sandals after a year! all fixed up an brand new.
I have since brought them other shoes and they are quick to re-​heel, fix scuffs, anything. Very affordable too. i love them here

I have to say I was really underwhelmed by this experience. I’ve usually tossed out my shoes when they are getting bad, but I had a really comfortable pair of boots I wanted to be saved and cleaned. He charged me $ 35 and it took a week to process. When I got the shoes back, they weren’t even shined and there were two rubber stoppers put on the soles. The shoes were still dirty. About one week later the entire heel broke off, making this entire experiment worthless. Next time, I’ll just toss the shoes…

These guys totally saved my ass. Well, actually my feet. But also my ass. I had a big meeting/​conference thing for work on a Thursday and I realized the heels I was supposed to wear were broken… on Monday. Instead of buying/​trying to break in new shoes in a day, I decided I’d try to get them fixed.
I brought them in on a Tuesday before work and asked if it’d be possible to pick them up by the end of the day Wednesday. He said he’d do his best. Then I realized I needed them by the beginning of the day Wednesday since I wouldn’t make it before closing on Wednesday and had to be at work before they opened on Thursday. So I called back and again he said he’d do his best. Dropped by Wednesday morning, not really expecting them to be ready, but they were. Hence, saved my butt.
It’s a small shop, so it’s cash only and you have to leave a deposit… I felt kind of stupid leaving the only $ 4 in cash I had for a $ 25 job… oops. My only criticism I guess would be the cost, but I really have nothing to compare it to, and the service was so fast that it was worth it. I’d definitely go back.

I really didn’t bother getting things repaired until I moved to Allston. Instead, I opted for the «toss it because you can’t fix it yourself» approach. However, since going back to school, I find that approach is a bit too pricey. Living in Allston gives me access to places like this, which will fix your broken items for a reasonable price.
They fixed the zipper on my boots for $ 10 and in 20 minutes. Needless to say, this was about a thousand times better in price and time-​wise than I was expecting. Will definitely be back for all my shoe repair needs.
