The Green Pepper

Don’t bother to go. The food is tasteless. You are lucky if there is one bite of meat in a taco. Overpriced crap!

Tried it again, after the initial opening. The food has gotten better and now more equivalent to their Center Valley location. A much smaller location here, as there is about half the seating of the other location. It still appears clean, which is a good thing. Though on my last visit, they were down to one kiosk order pad. I’ll most likely stop here again.

I could not wait for this place to open being that there is on in the promenade. I love green pepper but his place is terrible. Every time I’ve gone in there, there are Dunkin coffee cups on the counter, cell phones charging, laptops and book bags. This is very unprofessional. The rice is always undercooked and the chicken is always dry and I don’t feel welcomed or greeted when I come in. To say the least its worth the 25min drive to the promenade for a better Green Pepper

Never heard of The Green Pepper, but I have to say, I’m very impressed. Upon walking in, you are to place you order (customized) on the digital displays provided. There’s plenty of options and menu items to choose from. A receipt prints when you are done placing your order. You then take that up to the front where you can add a drink and finally pay. The staff is very friendly, knowledgable and the service is fast.
My friend and I both got the chicken burritos enjoyed them. Very flavorful and savory. Good portion size and plenty of meat. The chips and salsa that come with are also very flavorful.
Overall, I was very satisfied and would go back again. Give this new place a shot!

The burrito was missing the salsa and the chicken seemed to be sitting at ambient temperature all day. The burrito was not hot at all. Discover card was not accepted. The short brunette female could not figure out how to honor a coupon. I tried to get credit for my coupon, but the short female had no idea how to give me $ 2.54 back.
Please do not bother to even try this place. They get a one for customer focus.

Stopped in to order dinner on a Sunday night. Service was prompt and the staff was friendly. Beyond that, not much went well. I got a burrito with «Beef Barbicoa.» The burrito was big, but the quality of the food was underwhelming. The beef was dry and not very flavorful. The peppers in the burrito were obviously canned or jarred. The chipotle slaw did have a nice crunch, but didn’t add much flavor. There was very little cheese on the burrito as well.
I got a big bag of chips with the burrito, sadly they lacked crunch and were very oily. I don’t know if they were stale or just poorly cooked. The shot glass of salsa they gave with the chips was adequate for about a quarter of the bag.
Overall I’m not impressed. If you are pining for grade-​school cafeteria quality Mexican, come on down!

Visited for dinner on 9÷7÷15 (they’ve been open for about 1 week). I had the El Nino (Pork Carnitas, Cilantro Lime Rice, Black Beans, Cheddar Jack Cheese, Pico De Gallo, Chipotle Slaw). The most important thing to note here is that the carnitas did not taste anything like traditional carnitas. It basically tasted like salty pork and the as a whole the burrito lacked flavor. The «chipotle slaw,» which sounds very interesting, was tasteless. This was a huge disappointment because this place is close to home. My wife had tacos barbacoa which she did not like (even though they were huge). My daughter had a chicken burrito and said it was just ok. The quality and flavor here is not even close to Chipotle. I hope they can improve FAST or they will not last. They are opening another location on Hamilton St in Allentown where the competition is fierce. I will try Green Pepper again in a few months to see if they get better – I think. Sorry no picks on this but you all know what a burrito looks like.
