I joined RBFCU about a month ago. Checks and debit card both arrived quickly.
So far, no complaints. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been great to deal with, both over the phone and in person at this branch (and I’m usually at the branch a couple of times a week). Online banking is great, and worlds ahead of my last CU.
This is, however, a credit union that you can’t join simply by living in their service area (at least in DFW) — you either have to be military, ex-​military, or a member of (a very long list of) certain groups. In my case, I was able to join RBFCU by joining one of those groups. If you go into a branch, or call member services, they should be able to tell you how you may qualify for membership.
