History

Established in 1989.

Steve Vinson, is a self taught and gifted musician, whose love of music began at a tender age, is the president of Overdrive Productions, Inc. Steve is a former lead singer for the Manny Charlton Band. Manny Charlton was the lead guitarist for Nazareth for 25 years.

Steve began learning music when his father bought him a guitar at age six. Though he never had lessons, he had a natural talent for music and taught himself how to play the guitar and to sing. With the help of his parents, Steve purchased his first PA and proceeded to learn how to produce great sound. Discovering that he enjoyed the technical side of music as much as the artistic side, Steve has used his expertise running sound for bands like The Manny Charlton Band, Nazareth and The Healing Sixes. (Jason Bonham, drummer for The Healing Sixes is the son of John Bonham, drummer for Led Zeppelin.

In 1989, Steve opened Overdrive Productions, Inc. and began installing sound systems for Churches, and running sound for bands.

During his teen years, Steve was influenced by Nazareth, Kiss, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Zebra, Ozzy and the Beatles.

By the time Steve was 17 years old, he was a proficient musician and had a great singing voice. With the help of his parents, Steve purchased his first PA and proceeded to learn how to produce great sound.

Discovering that he enjoyed the technical side of music as much as the artistic side, Steve has used his expertise running sound for bands like The Manny Charlton Band, Nazareth and The Healing Sixes. (Jason Bonham).
