Featured in Strad and Bass World magazines, Daniel Nix has performed as soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician in the most prestigious concert halls around the world. Daniel’s album of new double bass concertos, Silva Caledonia, has reached audiences worldwide to critical acclaim. In addition to his performing career, Daniel has over fifteen years of teaching experience working with beginner through college level bassists and has given masterclasses on multiple continents. His love of teaching and connection to the North Texas community of musicians and teachers has made him one of the most sought after bass teachers in the area. His students are contest performers as well as All-​Region and All-​State performers. Daniel completed his Bachelor’s of music studying with world-​renowned soloist Gary Karr, and his Masters in music at the University of North Texas with Jeff Bradetich.
