Established in 2007.

Brookhaven Academy was established in 2007 by MIT alumnus, former IBM Executive, and Education Professor, Dr. Bruce Huang with a vision to provide quality early education with a trilingual and emotional intelligence focus.

Dr. Bruce Huang, MIT alumnus, former IBM executive, and a lifetime advocate of early education, founded Brookhaven Academy to provide quality education with a trilingual and emotional intelligence focus. «Dr. Huang, on many occasions, communicated his vision of helping children at Brookhaven Academy to become leaders of the future. He established the parent advisory board to help in improving relationships between Brookhaven’s parents and staff. What stand out in my mind are his high energy, enthusiasm, commitment and innovative ideas on how to improve Brookhaven’s quality education,” says Vetri Kamalakkannan, an academy parent. «There are several accomplishments we have achieved,» says Dr. Huang. «The recruitment of a team of world-​class teaching professionals; the establishment of the Parent Advisory Council; and the curriculum enabling every student to participate in extra-​curriculum activities such as Tae-​Kwon-​Do, Chinese, Spanish, Fitness & Computer without additional charges.
