All Pro Appliance and TV Repair

This company is horrible! First, it took forever to even get an appointment, then the day of the appointment I was called by the technician and he wanted to schedule it for a later time. Ok, fine. He shows up, somewhat diagnoses the problem, but after I keep asking him questions and trying to tell him that what he thinks is wrong couldnt be the problem, he realizes that it is something more. Needless to say, he did not have the proper equipment to do a quick fix while we waited for the part to be ordered and he just wanted to leave it as is. The part was supposedly ordered, and when i called back to see when they would be back out, I was told the part wasnt there yet. I called back again, and the number was «not in service». So till this day I have yet to receive a phone call telling me that the part has been received.
I will NEVER contact this company again and I would NOT recommend them to anyone! Very unprofessional, poor quality of work!!! Just awful!

I don’t want to waste too much of my time writing a review for this company. They did not fix my problem the first time around and rescheduled not one… not two… but three appointments claiming they didn’t have the parts on hand. If you don’t have the part in stock then don’t schedule for an appointment to come out you genius.

Watch out for these guys — they’re crooks. These other reviewers are either totally clueless when it comes to appliance maintenance and repair or they are family/​friends of the business owner. My money is on the latter.
For starters, All Pro Appliance and TV Repair has an *F* Better Business Bureau rating and lost their BBB accreditation on 06/​10/​2013 — here’s what the BBB site says:

If you care about the boring details of my personal experience, read below. If not, here’s all you need to know — if you’re looking for true/​honest professionals, keep looking; these guys are a total joke.
I scheduled a service appointment with them because our dishwasher was making a loud humming sound during the wash cycle. Two very young men showed up after getting lost and called me for directions. Once I showed them to the dishwasher and described the problem, their immediate diagnosis was that there was a problem with the dishwasher’s motor and it may need to be replaced — keep in mind, by this point they hadn’t even opened the dishwasher door, so I began to question their credibility/​trustworthiness.
They proceeded with taking the lower sprayer off, looking for obstructions — something I told them I already did. Ten minutes later, what do you think they said the problem was? Shocking — of course they tell me I need a new motor and it’s going to cost $ 255. But wait, there’s more — he went on to say that if I let them do the repair, they’ll deduct their $ 60 service appointment charge from the amount. Then, he also conveniently mentioned they sell and install new dishwashers. Their «business model» was obvious at this point — charge customers $ 60 just for showing up, positioning the customer into either a high priced repair or new appliance.
At this point, I politely explain that I’m not comfortable with the situation I’m now in and that I don’t feel as though their «diagnosis» is worth $ 60 given they did no more than I already did. I reminded him that the motor still worked, but that it was just operating a little more loudly than we liked — it just needed a little maintenance, perhaps cleaned or a part replacement or two. He insisted the only option was to replace the entire motor assembly and that nothing could be done to repair it — total BS. He then offered to call «the owner» and give me an opportunity to explain my concerns and ask for my money back. Of course, he called and the owner never answered and has yet to call back — I’m willing to bet I’m not the first customer to get played in this game.
I basically had three choices: A) Bite the bullet and pay the additional $ 195 for the repair, or B) Buy a new dishwasher through them with reseller markup, or C) Let them walk, with me out $ 60 with a loud dishwasher.
I decided to put them through a little test to see what level of skill they had in general handyman work — I asked them to tighten the kitchen faucet that had become loose. My thinking was if they could knock that out quickly showing some workmanship, then I might be convinced to move forward with the dishwasher repair. After 30 comedic minutes later, now covered in sweat, they gave up — the faucet still loose. I told them thanks, but no thanks and sent them on their way with my $ 60.

I called All Pro because my top loading clothes washer stopped spinning and wouldn’t empty. Sidney was great. He explained what could be the problem and explained he could fix it, but that it would be cheaper for me to purchase a new machine. I appreciate his honesty and ethics in how he runs his business. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for an honest business to help them out in a bind. Very refreshing to find someone who puts the customer first.

I would recommend All Pro Appliance and TV Repair to all of our friends. Our dishwasher was acting up and not cleaning properly so we called All Pro Appliance in Allen, Texas. Eddie was able to come that day and check out our dishwasher. He found that our motor was burnt out and told us that it needed to be replaced. The cost of a new motor was going to be very expensive, and it didn’t make sense for us to pay that much to replace a motor in a old dishwasher. Eddie didn’t force us into getting the motor replaced and actually recommended us to get a new dishwasher. That is great customer service. We appreciated his honesty and felt that he truly cared about his customers. If we ever have appliance issues in the future, we plan on calling All Pro and will pass this on to our friends and family.
