The best chicken pot pie I have ever had. Friendly staff and great service. My first time here but I will be coming back on a regular basis.

Recently visited again and decided to try soup with my usual greek salad. The pea soup was the best I’ve ever had!

I went here today with my client for lunch. I had the special sandwich turkey and avocado on a croissant. This was hands down the worst sandwich I have ever had. The turkey was so hard, I could barely bite into it. I thought about sending it back but since the soup I was given was not the one I ordered, I figured it wasn’t worth it.

Stopped in last night with a group of six at 9:30 pm knowing they close at 10pm. We were warmly greeted and were told no problem our cooks can do everything. We got our orders in quick and a short time later our food was out cooked to perfection. Our waitress kept our drinks filled and our table cleared. We were so well treated and fed we will be back soon.

One of our favorite places to eat. Food is fresh and high quality. Staff is friendly. Love their fresh fish. It can get busy at times but that shows how good they really are.

«it is what it is». Don’t expect a luxurious 5 star experience. It is a local diner with solid breakfast specials. I thought the food was good and definitely had a great price. Service was fast even though we had a group of 8 or 9. Omelettes were delicious and not greasy or gross like a lot of diners. I was happy with my experience. I’d give a 4 star but I feel like it was just another diner. Nothing really separated it from the usual.

Amazing family restaurant with homemade meals and desserts. I come here often and most of the evening staff know me well as a result. They always take care of their customers, which is why they’re always packed. They use real food(such as swiss cheese, while other restaurants sometimes use processed cheese product) and make many of their desserts from scratch. The staff is also very knowledgeable regarding their food and food in general, so helping a guest decide on their is made easy. If you stop in on a night they have lasagna, your meal has already been decided for you, believe me. If not, their fish and chips are perfect, as are their omelettes. Well, I think I know where I’m going for supper tomorrow night!

For as long as I waited dining in I had high expectations of the place. I ordered very simple a chilli cheese hot dog. The hot dog was ridicously covered in chilli to the point where I almost didn’t know what it was when it came out, the bun was beyond soggy. Chilli cheese fries with fries that were room temperature underneath the chilli. Nothing came out hot or fresh everything tasted as if it had just been covered in warm chilli. I also ordered a fried chicken pita and was displeased to find the chicken no where near hot as well. I work right around the corner and will not be returning for lunch breaks again. I have regrets about the amount of money I spent there for the quality of food I received. The 2 stars are for the customer service of the lady who waited me only.

This is one of the few restaurants I’ve been to that everything I’ve ever tried has been amazing! The thing I will most highly recommend is the gyro. The lamb is perfectly spiced and the sauce rocks. It’s better there then it is in Greektown. The Greek salad and chicken lemon rice soup are the perfect sides for the gyro. Gus & Us also has their own amazing take on the Slim Jim, the Slim Gus. It is fresh sliced ham with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a large bun. It is fantastic! Breakfast is not a meal I eat often but one I will eat if I’m there early.

Been coming here for three years and never had a disappointing experience. The food is great — they offer a variety of food that taste great; the service is attentive & friendly and the pricing is very reasonable.

It’s now our local breakfast stop since Mirage closed(sob). Breakfast dishes are solid — good food, prepared the way we like and quickly. The coffee cup stays full, and the wait staff checks back appropriately, but doesn’t hover. My hubby and I will be back for more!

If you want good Greek Cooking along with your everyday American cooking you have to stop at Gus & Us Grill. I have known Gus and his family for years when they had a restaurant in the Detroit Edison Plaza bldg. back-n-the-day.

I’ve inly had breakfast here but it was pretty good, but then again how can you screw up breakfast? Place seems to stay busy and servers are friendly. It’s basically a Coney Island. Soft drinks are very expensive but the food was pretty good.

I went for lunch at Gus & Us for the first time with my brother. We were sat quickly on a crowded Sunday afternoon. Our server came over and sat down menus. When she came back with our drinks, we ordered. I got a grilled bacon and cheese, my broham ordered a bacon cheeseburger and we split fries. Once our food was delivered to the table, our server checked out on her job duties. We thought it was because she was busy, but when we looked around, we saw her standing in the waitress area doing nothing. We noticed a lot of the servers doing this… not visiting tables but instead just kinda waiting around for something to do. I prefer proactive servers. My brother’s Coke was already empty when our food came out. But our waitress never brought him a refill and didn’t come back to the table until after he was done eating. I asked if she could bring him a refill… she did so without a word to us. As for the food, we both found it disappointing. The grilled bacon and cheese is $ 3.99. It came on two slices of barely-toasted Texas toast with a slice of American cheese and TWO pieces of bacon. Come on. I know it’s a cheap sandwich, but you gotta give me more protein than two measly slices of bacon. My brother said his burger was mediocre. My brother will literally eat anything edible, so for him to say it was mediocre made me laugh really hard. It must have been bad. Gus & Us seems like a nice enough place but friendly service is important to me, so I won’t be back.
