Dr. Samiee is by far the best Dentist I have ever been to. It has been awhile since I’ve had my teeth checked or cleaned for that matter. Dr. Samiee and her staff made the whole experience effortless as well as painless. After getting X-​Rays, she immediately diagnosed my problem areas and came up with a plan of action. Dr. Samiee performed a deep cleaning, she also filled in a cavity that she found and was honest about the treatment I needed, she didn’t try to up-​sell me. I cannot say enough great things about my experience. If you need a Dentist look no further then Dr. Samiee.

I have been reluctant to leave a review, but every time that I think of my last experience, I get upset. I am giving a two star because I had been going to this dentist office for my scheduled cleanings for about a two years or longer. I really liked my hygienist and I had a really great experience each and every time. I always felt like I was being told the truth and given the best recommendations until my last two visits. I was told that I had an issue with receding gums due to my teeth clenching at night, possibly because of stress, etc. It was recommended to me to purchase a night guard and that it would be in my best interest to purchase one that fit the mold of my mouth and I would be «wasting» my money if I went out and bought a standard mouth guard for a cheaper price. I was told that my insurance would cover most of the cost and that I would have to pay out of pocket $ 50. When I came to pick up my mouth piece, I was then told that my insurance was only going to absorb half the cost and I would owe an additional $ 250. I went ahead and paid this even though I could not really afford it, but figured it was a good investment to protect my gums and alleviate some of the sensitivity and headaches I was having from my teeth clenching. To make a long story short, a week into have my mouth piece, my new puppy somehow jumped up on my night stand and got a hold of my expensive $ 600 mouth piece and chewed it up. I was devastated over it, but I didn’t think there was anything that I could do… however, I called the office anyway. When I contacted them, the office lady was a bit snarky with me and had told me that if the mouth piece didn’t «fit» me correctly, they would do a re-​mold and I could get a new mouth piece, but that there was «no way they would replace the mouthpiece just because my dog chewed it up» and that «they didn’t cover anything like that, and there was no such thing as dog insurance.» She said that I would have to pay an additional $ 600 (that I did not have) and that they tossed my original mold out so they couldn’t just make me a new one. I know it wasn’t their fault that my stupid dog chewed it up, but it was the way she treated me and the way she made me feel. I was extremely disappointed and I can honestly say that I have not been back to this office since, but I keep getting notifications to schedule an appointment there. I am still without a mouth piece and am currently in search of a new dentist office.

I went there few times and They kept telling me to do work that I didn’t need.
When I came for a free cleaning one time, They would not do it and said I had some cavity in my bridge. So they charged my insurance for the «cleaning» that were never done.
After I went to see two other dentist for a second opinion they told me I didn’t have any cavity.
So I never went back there, they called me after few months when I confronted them over the phone they said that in their records it doesn’t show I had cavity and to come for the cleaning they billed my insurance.
But guess what my answer was no thank you and don’t trust you guys anymore.
Unfortunately most of the dentists are not honest and just make you pay for work that you don’t need.
I don’t have a dentist now because I have trouble trusting them.

I just finished having Dr. Murray do veneers for me. My first time into the office was 2 months ago. From my very first call Erika was so incredibly kind to me. Thank goodness I had not let the reviews keep me from going to the office. Dr. Murray came as a referral and so I went to see him. Everyone in his office is incredibly nice, efficient and exactly the opposite of what I read here. He has a beautiful office, and as far as the price, he is comparable if not lower than some I had seen with not as nice of an office or staff. Put all of the niceties aside, he is a brilliant dentist! Very thorough, kind, explained things well and did an amazing, natural looking job on my veneers! I couldn’t be more pleased! Thank you Dr. Murray, and thank you to all his staff and assistants!

Had to change dentist due to their unethical billing practices. Even with insurance i always ended up paying copays north of 100 dollars per visit, and they had me in this accelerated visit with them every 4 months. I have absolutely no dental issues per my existing dentist just some basic cleaning needed and thats it. My current dentists doesn’t understand why they had me at such frequent scheduling. I will tell you why… ripoff central! Makes me mad having thrown my money at them all these years. Practice was ok, just their charges and billing practices are sketchy. Oh and the main doctor, DDS Robert Murray, you will never see him after the first time that he does his marketing speech about how great of a practice they are. Look elsewhere, there are plenty of better dentist around the area.

Nice office and all the dentists (Murray, Samiee and Vanek) are very nice too. I have referred a lot of people here BUT when it comes to billing practices and negligence this place gets 1 star. I had been having tooth pain in my lower right mouth since November 2014 (mind you my teeth are far from perfect and I do have gum recession). I saw all 3 dentists over the next few months (Dr Muarry 1x, Vanek 2x’s and Samiee 2x) and they replaced a filling 2x, gave me creams, special coatings etc and told me there was nothing else they could do unless I wanted gum grafts (a very pricey procedure). I started saving money but the pain progressively got worse until it was unbearable (it was now February). I decided to go to a different dental office to get a 4^th opinion. I just wanted to be out of pain. Guess what? He immediately saw a huge infection on the xray and said I would need an emergency root canal. When he completed the procedure he said the tooth was almost completely dead and how no one saw that was beyond him. A few days later after the root canal and a strong round of pain killers and antibiotics I was pain free for the first time in months. So ya, I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Murrays office beyond maybe just a simple cleaning. They also charge more WITH my insurance then I paid at a few other dentists without insurance. The front desk ladies a few years ago were really nice but the new one’s are always trying to upsell and collect… to the point of being rude. I even stopped answering their calls because they have a very close to collection agency demeanor (they were waiting for an insurance payment not my portion too so I don’t feel I should have been the point of contact).

My Husband had a serious infection and was in major pain!!! All Dr. Murray did was squirt some antibiotic in the gum and try to upsell him on some EXPENSIVE Laser treatment with no guarantee of results. My Husband left still in major pain and ended up in Hospital because of the infection. He was experiencing Heart Attack type symptoms and had to spend the night taking all these tests which we were responsible for as we had no Medical Insurance. He had no heart problems but had a very serious infection in his gums. His wife Dr. Cho tried to up sell me on this expensive Laser Treatment also. Money is their focus. Really upsets me because we have recommended many people over the years. Dr. Murray SR. was not like them. I cannot understand how these So call «Medical Professionals» continue to get away with this. It’s Criminal!!! That’s what’s wrong with These kind of Con Artists who take advantage of so many innocent people.

Dr. Murray is. the. best. dentist.; If you are looking for a dentist for you family, I highly recommend you look into his practice.
I have been going to him since middle school (I am a 4^th year college student now). As a child I had a very complicated ortho case, and my mother and I had gone to countless dental offices in Orange County for proposed dental plans. Every other dentist had a 5 year plan that included many extractions/​head pieces /​mouth pieces and a large price tag. After having been recommended to go to Dr. Murray by a few families, we decided to give him a shot. We were very surprised after having heard his proposed ortho plan! His methods were innovative, easy (or he made it look easy), and effective; Half the time and half the price tag. We were very happy with the results and the process. It takes a Doctor like Dr. Murray to have the passion, knowledge, and work experience to be able to take on such cases.
We were so happy with the experience, that everyone in my family now goes to Dr. Murray, and continues to do so now. Local families had recommended him to us, so I thought I would do the same.
(PS. 7 Years later, people still compliment me on my smile… OH YEAH. and through his practice and work, i was inspired to pursue a career in Dentistry.)

I have been going to Dr. Murray for the past 7 years. When I get my teeth clean I love the girls. They are very sweet kind and dose an amazing job. Unfortunately I have had some dental work done the past few years and every time they tell you the price and you agree on top of my insurance they charge you anyway. Even when you agree with the price of what it will cost you from your own pocket there is always a BIG bill waiting for you in a couple of days. The other thing is that when you check in at the desk every time they can’t find you in their system or your insurance. Speaking of Dr. Murray after your cleaning he is suppose to come and check your teeth. He is always has some other more important thing to do. I don’t even know what he looks like since the first visit.

$$$$. I had my first cavity, which resulted in a root canal. I was told that enough of the tooth was saved to just put a temp filling in it, then come back and have a permanent one put in. My second visit, upon finishing up, Dr. Murray says «Ok, so you’ll need a permanent crown with in the next year.» Turns out he put on a temperary crown that doesn’t fit right at all. !!! Not at all what he had told me. So now my crown is causing me pain months later, so I call to schedule a check up, and the rexeptionist, Fanny, cannot for the lift of her tell me if it will cost me anything. She keeps saying «I don’t know.» and asking me if it’s the same tooth or a different one. I have one crown, ONE, that Murray worked on. I tell her this 3 times before she comprehends. Today I call to see if perhaps another employee can tell me the $. It’s the same woman. Once again, «I don’t know.» I inform her that there has to be at least a base list of costs, and she said it depends on factors like re-​cementing vs new crown. then she tells me it’s «Between $ 85-​$ 65…makes perfect sense.

They overcharge and put you in a situation where you are forced on services that you don’t need. Careful with them. Service is good but they actively rip you off. Just a note I was a loyal customer to this dentist for 20 years until i found out that they were charging for unnecessary services.

This is the fanciest dental office I’ve ever been in. So nice, you’d expect to bump into an OC housewife here… :) I’ve been going here for years. My hygenist is the best. She only tried to sell me teeth whitening once in the 4+ years I’ve been going to her. Other than that, my visits are normally just 30 min and I never have to wait more than 5 minutes. These guys get their patients in and out in time.

I went to this dentist for several years and I cannot complain about the level of service I received however they were overcharging me for my teeth cleanings and when I brought this to their attention they were not happy and I had to contact my insurance company to complain about them before I could get a partial refund of all the times they overcharged me.
I quit using them becasue of that reason.

I really never write a review but this office is a nightmare. The office staff is friendly but that is about all they are helpful with. They have no idea about any insurance problems or questions. Dr Murray is the only one that will tell you your co-​pays and I think they are based on his mood or if you look like you have money.
I went in for a «new patient» exam, x rays, and I cleaning which should have been covered 100% by my insurance. I was then told I had to have a gross scale cleaning because of «perio charting» I only had two teeth in one place that required a deeper cleaning. All of this to say they refused to clean my teeth and told me I needed to pay over two hundred dollars in co-​pays. So I questioned it and called my insurance company and found out they were overcharging me by $ 150! Then they charged me $ 30 for perio charting which they told me was required by my insurance company and not only did they lie but they are not allowed to charge for this! Then they claimed to have done an oral cancer screening for $ 50 but the only thing he did was look in my mouth!
Dr Murray wouldn’t even call me back when I requested to talk to him!
Horrible office, worst experience and a rip off! Don’t be fooled. My insurance company is now investigating him for fraud thank goodness!

Dr. Murray redid my veneers and they are gorgeous. He is a perfectionist when it comes to aesthetics and I wouldn’t get cosmetic dentistry anywhere else.
He is very thorough and he and his staff are very easy to work with.
He didn’t try and up sell me at all as a couple of other reviewers suggest. I trust him implicitly!

I’m trying to figure out why it is that this dentist office chooses to tell me I have over 5 cavities yet on my visit to my new dentist I have not one, but zero. I think there is a severe question of ethics here. Not good!!! Oh and it’s been a year since I’ve seen the dentist. Go figure. No wonder his office is so «pretty».

Total. Billing. Nightmare.
I’ve had good work done by Dr. Murray and Dr. Vanek. They’ve fit me in for emergencies. The hygienists all are pleasant and seem competant. The front desk is pleasant when you come in and reschedule.
HOWEVER – on at least half of our visits over 7 years or so, we’ve been told our total, paid it, and then… another bill arrives. Constantly. My husband left the practice a long time ago in disgust. We have Delta insurance and while we’ve had different insurance in the past neither of us have had this happen EVER. They insist it’s just an estimate – but estimating low EVERY time is just sloppy at best and fraudulent at worst.
Not finding anyone yet that I liked better, I went back 11−3−11, when they scheduled me for work 11−17−11. That day I paid $ 175, in full. 12−6−11 they sent me a bill for $ 795.80. When I called, upset, they gave me a new number and said to just paid that, something around $ 80. I said no, I wasn’t going to pay 3 times, just bill me when you’re done with insurance. Next month they send me a bill for $ 101.80, WITH SOMEONE ELSE’S BILL IN THE ENVELOPE TOO. When I called the billing lady (Andrea?) didn’t apologize or anything, just said whoever was helping her must have messed up. When I pointed out that the statement didn’t go all the way back to my original payment so it didn’t make sense, she emailed it. When I emailed her and asked her to tell me where they were wrong in their estimate, she said it was all on the bill. And she could call me next week, but at this point she knows that I have a small child and have trouble talking on the phone. I later looked at the bill, and it’s about as clear as mud regarding what was underestimated.
Meanwhile when on my next to last appointment with Dr. Vanek he was SHOCKED to hear of me being double billed. He offered to have the office staff call me. I said thank you but I just wanted the multiple billing problem to stop. On my way home the billing person called me on my cell. She said it was just an estimate etc. I told her I understood the problem and that it was that their estimates were usually too low. She acted like I was being unreasonable to want to not discuss my bill over and over.
If I didn’t have a small child at home ²⁴⁄₇ who I’d like to leave out of this conversation, I would have walked in and asked for my records a long time ago. Stay away!

Both my husband and me have been patients of Dr. Murray for over five years. Great friendly office, and have in the past done shown accurate billing when my insurance through my work was quite a bit more complicated. They have taken both my husband and I within 30 minutes for same day appointments. They say always look for a dentist from USC for the best care. Dr. Murray has that, AND he has a degree from UCLA in Dentistry as well. Office is surgically clean. They also work with budgets and have some discounts on prices. They are also very careful and will pre medicate if you have other medical issues.
I’ve always been happy there.

Thank you Dr. Murray for a smile I continually get compliments on. I had my veneers replaced here a few years ago and he did an outstanding job. A very nice front office staff. Very organized and efficient. Did not push services or products on me. I did have sealants that were recommended to me for my kids applied at $ 50.00 a molar, but that is good preventative dentistry. Lobby is well decorated and comfortable. Don’t forget to grab a bag of Dr. Murray’s personally roasted and packaged coffee beans from Africa!

It’s true, the Dental Industry has become more lucrative and it is hard to find a good dentist that is honest and affordable. I heard about Dr. Murray through a friend and decided to give it a try.
Dr. Murray and his team were very personable and thorough. When I met with them I immediately explained my situation and expectations. They were very respectable and did not try to «Up-​sell» me on anything unnecessary.
Dr. Murray spent time evaluating my needs and explained everything to me so I clearly understood what needed to be done. He made me feel very comfortable and the overall cost was reasonable. During the process he was gentle and attentive to my concerns.
Dr. Murray and his team did a great job and I will continue go back to them for my dental needs.
