Delicious. The fries are fresh-made to order, and they have the crumbly internal texture that I love. Lean meat, quality cheese, tasty pizza sauce. I’m hooked on this place, especially the pizza steak. The guy working the counter also has a great sense of humor.

I can’t get enough of this place. Nothing hits the spot like a cheesesteak. Sure I haven’t been to philly to try authentic cheesesteaks but that doesn’t mean this place isn’t good. They do it right and use fresh ingredients. I’ve been coming here since high school but really always come back cause my boy Haywood has been giving good service there for a while. Keep it up my man.

The guy behind the counter was staring at the tv while he took our order. The onions weren’t grilled. Meat was a little cold. And they had all the chairs turned up like they were closed when they still had an hour to go.

12 dollars and you get very little food. Not going back. This place will likely close soon.

I had a cheese stake here woth some onion rings. Both so flavorless. They tasted like nothing. I was very very disappointed. My bf had an italian hogie. He likes his food, I thoight his hogie tasted like mustard only. Yuk. Never coming back.

This place is great. The older décor really makes you feel like a kid again. The cheesesteaks taste awesome, just a little more meat would be nice. Staff is a little rude, but I think that is sort of what they’re going for. So just enjoy it and don’t take it personal. 4 stars.

Good food, friendly staff. I just wish they had a Coke Freestyle machine as their soda choices are limited.

I love a good cheesesteak and this place hit the spot. It had plenty of meat and cheese. Bread was good. I’ll be back.

Pretty darn good cheesesteak sandwich. And to top it off they sell Tasty Cakes! I struggled between 4 and 5 on this one. I get the Philly’s Best sandwich with grilled onions. It’s always good. My kids mix it up a bit and seem to enjoy the variety. The Tasty Cakes are what makes it though. Wow do they ever bring back memories of being a kid visiting up North. It’s a perfect pre-movie dinner.

First time to this locatin second time to this company and I am just not that big of a fan. the sandwiches are small and they dont put enough meat in the sandwich or enough cheese on it either. I mean for the price you should pile that on there other wise they are not much different from subways philly cheesesteak. Plus it was super greasy and that is not my experience from other cheesesteak places ive been too that are more everything more authenritc, more meat and cheese and bigger and longer bread and all for the same price or less… Go somewhere else.

Cash register broke after we ate. Now my husband is running around trying to find an ATM. Poor customer service, they should have checked the register before they opened and before they took our order. Needless to say, I think our order should have been comped. Also got American wiz instead of provolone. Gross and not what we ordered. Maybe if clerk wasn’t hanging out with his friend things would run smoother. Not returning.

I’ve been coming here for years and it has hit the spot every single time ! I get a cheesesteak with mushroom and onions, it’s just soooo great. And fries or onion rings, depending on my mood. The cheese is so great, and the meat is always SO juicy. Would’ve given 5 stars if they didn’t charge for the little stuff like ranch, always found that a little cheap. But this is definitely the best cheesesteak around.

Nothing against the place, but I ordered the Phillys Best and the meat was kind of dry and the cheese was not very prominent. I was craving a juicy and cheesy cheesesteak sandwich and unfortunately this just didn’t hit the spot like I was hoping and craving for. I had to use their hot sauce on it to add back some of the moisture I was looking for. Also, they don’t have A1 steak sauce which is what I really like to put on my cheesesteak sandwiches! Even the french fries were inexplicably bland!!! Oh well I guess I have to keep searching for a decent cheesesteak in OC!

First let me say that I have never been to Philly, PA(except for the airport), so therefore have never had a REAL Philly Cheesesteak. However, I am all about eating, which is why I am not a size 2, so I do have some cred when it comes to food. With that being said, the mushroom cheesesteak I had here was delicious! So we stumbled onto this place by accident while on vacation in SoCal. We noticed it when we were eating at a different restaurant in the same complex and took note of it for later and I am so glad we did! We went here when we needed to grab something quick. We walked in and ordered right away. As soon as we ordered, we saw the cook start cooking our meal. I sure love it when the food isn’t cooked prior to ordering. The sandwiches came out hot and fresh. The sandwiches were seasoned differently than what I have had before and had a little more umph to them, which made them quite yummy in my book. The bread was crusty and soft, the meat was covered in mushrooms and cheese, and my tummy was ecstatic for the meal. My hubby had the Pizza Steak and he liked his as well. My daughter had her usual chicken fingers and they were tasty too. I was quite pleased with our experience at this little joint. If I lived in the area, I would definitely visit this shop regularly, even if they have Philadelphia Eagles stuff everywhere, but I won’t hold that against them.

I’m not from Philly so I don’t know squat what a real cheesesteak should look and taste like, but from what I’ve seen in various media, Philly’s Best seems to serve up some pretty righteous versions of the sandwich that made Philadelphia famous. I can tell you I’ve been here enough times to proudly sport scars on the roof of my mouth from having molten cheese-lava stick to it after taking a big bite of a freshly made sandwich. Speaking of the sandwiches, maybe this is borderline heresy or perhaps at the very least, something to make a purist blanch, but I’m really partial to the chicken«cheesesteaks» myself. They use the same soft and fluffy hoagie rolls as they do for the regular cheesesteaks and other sandwiches, but I really like the taste of the thinly sliced hot chicken instead of beef. Throw in a generous portion of sauteed peppers, onions and mushrooms with melted white American cheese or, if you want to go big, slather on some Cheez Whiz, and you’ve got yourself a roof-of-the-mouth-scar-inducing gastronomic thrill ride in a bun. Of course they have great regular cheesesteaks and other subs, but I’ve never really ventured outside my usual chicken or beef cheesesteak comfort zone. Their sides are also top notch with the onion rings standing out as a personal and family favorite. Try the rings or fries with a side of Cheez Whiz or pizza sauce(or both, because you know you want to). This will make you happy. Be sure to take advantage of the complimentary condiment bar with pickled cherry peppers(excellent, not too hot) and two kinds of dill pickles. The thick-sliced ones are addictive and delicious. One final word: it’s kind of obvious, but the hot sandwiches do not travel well as they get VERY soggy wrapped up and taken home. These things were meant to be eaten hot, fresh and full of molten cheese-lava to start your own scar collection.

Not impressed! My boyfriend and I came here for dinner this past Friday night with high expectations. They fell short. Service was pretty good for a «fast casual» place. We were greeted right away, our food came out quickly and we got a «see ya later» when we left. Other than service, I did not like this place. I ordered their Mushroom Steak Cheesesteak($ 7). I’ll give them the fact that the sandwich was HUGE and I could have easily split it with someone else. Other than that, the sandwich fell really short. It was actually really gross. The bread tasted really dry. The steak was way below par with little to no taste. The mushrooms were just alright. I left really disappointed and had a tummy ache a few hours later due to the sandwich. I doubt I’ll be back. My boyfriend also ordered the Mushroom Steak Cheesesteak with Onions and he was not impressed with this place and said he’d never be back either. Beware…stay away!
