Tried the lunch buffet today. Totally underwhelmed. Salad bar doesn’t offer much variety…6 ingredients. Corn, carrots, cherry toms, shredded mozz, romaine hearts, macaroni salad, and croutons. Not exciting or appealing at all. And the pizza was not great at all. Bland, light on cheese. I hate that they have always held the parmesan shakers behind the counter. Over the years, I have patronized this place on occasion. Not sure if I’ll continue. Maybe for a premium slice after a movie… the really need to change it up or refocus. They seem to be just going through the motions. Brain dead. My advice would be to hit the Mountain Mike’s buffet, since the Round Table nearby closed. We need a Shakey’s.

Mobtown pizza is one of those places that I like to stop by in if I happen to be going to the movies next door. I enjoy the slices a lot and they’re one of only 2 nearby restaurants that participate with so I can take advantage of the cheap gift cards I got for there. The hardest part of eating here, really, is figuring out which slice to eat. They have so many delicious options that I sometimes have to just«flip a coin» and make a decision or I’d be there all day. Two slices is enough to fill me and they’ve always been very tasty. My husband and daughter both enjoy the food as well. For unique toppings, the Alcatraz pizza has sliced potato with bacon and green onion! As a potato lover, I enjoyed it a lot! I’ve even ordered them for catering and was not disappointed. Their garlic twists are addicting.

While on a walk through the marketplace I see the banner hanging in front of the store: $ 7.99 pizza buffet! I calculated at that price, if I eat 3 slices then I’d be pretty much even. Fast forward a couple weeks and I find myself inside hoping to eat some of their great pizza combinations. Unfortunately, you only get to choose from the pizzas on the left side. You also get salad bar and a drink. With the limit of thin crust 1 – 2 topping pizzas at my disposal, I went to work in choosing which one I was going to try. You choose, and they throw it in the oven which results in a nice crispy crust that is easy to pick up with one hand. The slices appear to be double cut which makes it nice that you don’t have to commit to a pizza that you don’t like. But now the break-even point is 6 slices. Round 1: pepperoni+jalapeño, tomato+basil, pepperoni+sausage. What I received was: pepperoni+jalapeño and 2 slices of pepperoni+mushroom. Pizza is pizza, so I thought. Pepperoni+jalapeño was a good first slice. With your mouth salivating and not yet softened up by the molten hot triangles of cheese, the heat of the jalapeño will do minimal damage. In fact, the light burn from the jalapeño did wonders flavor-wise. Pepperoni+mushroom was awful. Mushrooms overpower the pepperoni actually making it taste worse. I always felt that mushrooms were rather neutral but not in this case. Avoid. Round 2: tomato+basil, pepperoni+sausage. Actually received them correctly. tomato + basil had a nice herby flavor. Pizza came out molten hot so it was difficult to eat but at least it was a nice flavor contrast to round 1 Pepperoni+sausage was very salty. Luckily the potato salad from the salad bar cuts through this salty meat quite well between bites. Round 3: 2 slices of pepperoni+jalapeño. I do not advise this after torturing your mouth with salty pizza. Those jalapenos become quite potent as was evident by my eating partner. I was fine but if you’re sensitive, choose wisely.

If I ever come down to Aliso Viejo to go to the theater, I will sometimes grab a slice here. While I used to look forward to coming here back in the day, Mobtown has been a bit less than memorable the last couple times. The pizza seems to have gotten blander over time with the flavor of the sauce not quite popping out as much. Seems like they’ve just opted for using average ingredients. As some other better pizza potions have popped up, these guys have regressed. If it wasn’t for its proximity to the theater and relatively quick service compared to some other food establishments in the shopping center, I probably wouldn’t go there. The pizza is more of a «gets the job done» type of meal than something I would rave about. Not bad, but not great.

This place is horrible! The pizza sauce tastes like something straight out of a can, and the mozzarella cheese tastes like rubber!!! There are way to many other pizza places than to waste your money on this garbage!!!

Having just driven in from a 7 hour drive, we did not want to cook, even spaghetti, and did not want to drive out again, so we ordered for delivery. Only wanted an order of spaghetti but was told we would need to have a $ 15 order to get delivery, so we asked what we could get, and they suggested, and we agreed to, an order of baked ziti. We were told that the order would take 1.5 hours for delivery. Delivery came an hour later, totaled $ 24. Spaghetti with meat balls: small serving with two meat balls. Way overpriced for a small potion of nothing spectacular. Baked Ziti: turned out to be another order of spaghetti with meat balls with cheese baked on top. Made the call in to ask about the baked ziti and were told that THEY had decided to change the order to spaghetti and meatballs … said it was the same price as the baked ziti. What the heck? Didn’t even have the courtesy to call to ask for our approval? It was way too late in the day to argue about this since it was almost 9:00 pm. So we just let it go. First time ordering from here and extremely disappointed. Don’t believe we would ever order from here again.

Went here for lunch with a group of teenage Special Ed kids. They advertised all you can eat for 7.99. Well first, you have to order ever slice individually the salad was lettuce and two pasta salads. No bread sticks and they monitor every slice! These are teens they eat a lot! The girl acted very put out and said that they couldn’t share! Seriously they don’t eat much salad if any and we limit there drink intake. The pizza had been sitting and every slice needed to be re heated! We could have brought tons of business to this place but there lack of kindness and the poor service lost our business for good! Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time!

Had a company meeting for our Urgent Care and needed to have it catered. Mobtown Pizza came highly recommended from our staff, so I called and they had our order ready for us right when they said they would. It was delicious. We had veggie, cheese, pepp and sausage/pepp pizza and the mixed green salad. SO good! They even gave us plates, forks, napkins, everything we needed! They were so polite, professional and genuine. We will definitely use them again! Thank you!

LOVE Went in by myself today and they had redecorated since the last time; very nice! I ate a slice of the stuffed pizza with spinach and tomatoes which was unbelievably good and I wish I had ordered 2 slices. Also, I loved the helpful, no pressure atmosphere. I didn’t order a drink so I could get Sbux later and the person behind the counter gave me a cup for some water. If you pay with debit there is an opportunity to add gratuity however I didn’t feel I needed to and didn’t because my order was so small and I ordered at the counter. They also let you get as many refills as you want; serve yourself. Definitely going back with family and friends. This place is AWESOME!

If I can give less I would. Walked inside and attempted to place order for probably over $ 400 for a party tonight, as I walked in with my service dog I was rejected service. Customer service at this place is non existent. I asked to speak to the manager I was pointed to Max which the worker claimed is the owner. As a owner of a business you would imagine he would address the issue and not continue making a pizza… Max you should follow up with CA laws if you’re running a business. My attorney will be in touch with you by Monday.

Angel was incredibly helpful on my visit. Me and my buddy came in to get a slice, and he helped us through our order and was very nice. We stopped in here on a whim but because of his extremely accommodating customer service along with the big slices of pizza, we will be making this our regular pizza spot on a weekly basis. It goes to show how much customer service has an effect on future long term customers.

Hands down best pizza and nicest people! Always hot and Fresh, heavy on the toppings! The XL is one of the biggest and perfect for any baseball game kids sleepover or family dinner! When we asked the manager if he could help with the kids charity lunch, he didn’t even hesitate and provided all the pizza for all the kids… They are so supportive of everyone in their community and all of their customers! They really know how to give back. Fantastic place to drop into for a slice before or after the movies, huge selection of pizza by the slice. This place is doing it right!

Okay, I am Italian-American from Chicago. The pizza here is awful It has no flavor unless paste is a flavor. For the cost of that pizza, I am sorry I didn’t go to Z Pizza. I bought a cannoli which was every bit as much of a disappointment as the pizza. It had no citron fruit in it, no crushed pistachio on one end(chic mini chips on the other were the best part of it). The guy who took my order is a really nice guy from Spain, but maybe this place should make paella, or some other cuisine. This was NOT Italian pizza as we who have grown up in Chicago, New York and/or Italy know it. I think they do a big business because they are right next to the movie theatre.

So I decided to give mobtown a review after two years of shining away, but this time, I decided to put them to the test by bringing EastCoasr Dave with me. He decided to put their white collar crime and pepperoni to the test while I opted for a stuffed crust combo . Dave loved the white collar crime so much he ordered a large to take home for himself. He stated that the pepperoni is better than average and better than Pizza Hut or dominoes. I think that says a lot about their four cheese pizza — Y-u-m-m-y! The combo was good, it was a bit more bread-y than I expected but a nice consistency as far as the bread. Dense but fluffy. So don’t just take my word for it, East coast Dave’s from the east coast — faghetaboutitt!

Love this place! I like to get creative with my pizza toppings, but Mobtown has the perfectly paired pizza for me. The Mafia Pizza: Ricotta Cheese, Meatballs, Plum Tomato, Mozzarella & Garlic Sauce. The only thing I change is adding their fresh basil, and BAM– you’ve got your«I-don’t-want-to-cook-tonight» meal set to go. But, you can’t forget to leave without your Gardenson salad. It’s SO simple, but somehow it’s insanely delicious… The BEST thing about Mobtown is that they don’t charge you for ranch. We all love. ranch, and Mobtown loves you because they won’t nickle and dime you for the ranch! You go, Mobtown!

Usually I see 1 – 2 stars when I bump my head into something. I think I had more stars in kindergarten. I hate bad reviews. (Food) Did not know the display WAS the food. I’m glad the pizza slice gets reheated, but I wonder how long its been out. Is it trust worthy? Slice of sausage pizza was OK. I’m thankful for Costco pizza more than ever. Has potential but was so off-putting by how not fresh it was. I worked at little Caesars and this was more reheated n quick then any hot n ready I ever experienced. Don’t get the salad. (Service) Well pizza came out. Inside was fairly clean. Doors were left open no ac on today. Always room for improvement. Do not let Chef Ramsey in here.

I’ve been coming to the Aliso Viejo location since they opened. It used to be a lot better, but lately the service has been poor and the food marginal. The last couple of times I ordered ahead of time over the phone, but they didn’t start my order until I got there and paid. So I sat there wasting my time, even though I planned ahead. Today I got there and the owner’s family was there and all they cared about was them instead of the guests. The owner just sat there with his family while one worker tried to serve everybody. He obviously could care less about customer service. I hope they either sell to better owners or fail for their poor management. I’ve been a loyal guest over the years, but I’m not going back until they improve. I’m telling all my friends in AV to stop going there too. Maybe they’ll pay attention when no one shows up.
