We specialize in private or small group Independent study classes, home-​schooling, SAT tutoring and after school homework help.

Our Independent study classes can earn credit for students who have failed a course or like to skip to the next level of study in a field. Most our independent study students are enrolled in home-​schooling or are taking classes for University or High School credit. These courses are all WASC accredited.

We have SAT classes whose focus is the areas of weakness in private or small group settings (4 students at most) and teach test taking techniques to shave off time and increase potential score in each student. We teach what the test expects of students in terms of writing and help them plan a strategy that can help them regardless of the topic on the test.

History

Established in 2005.

Kiana Berkman, the owner and executive director at Berktree Learning started this company after having worked for many other tutoring services. She felt that there was a need for a tutoring company whose goal was the enrichment of the educational experience for students instead of the bottom line.

In pursuit of this goal, she has spent the past 7 years working with students, tutors, parents and administrators in order to help create a successful way for students to cope and succeed in todays competitive educational system.

Berktree Learning started as a word of mouth business and stayed that way until Oct 2010, when we started our first expansion phase. We still provide the same friendly and knowledgable service and strive each day to find better ways to serve our clients.

Business Owner

Raised and Schooled in Orange County, Kiana Berkman, graduated from the University of California, Irvine, where she studied Chemistry, Anthropology and Education. She began tutoring High School and Middle School students while attending UCI, and began tutoring underclassmen as she progressed in her own education. In 2005, after working for a few different tutoring companies, she started Berktree Learning, which continues to help students achieve their educational goals to this day.
