I came here and everyone was absolutely wonderful. I already wore glasses and I still couldn’t see very well. Dr. Snyder told me that the persecution was wrong! He was extremely friendly and thorough with his exam. They have a smaller collection of glasses than I have seen at other places, but they still have some cute ones! I’ll definitely be back next year.

I’ve been going to this optometrist for years, ever since I was around 10 until now (I’m 20). I have nothing but positive things to say about them! The older Dr. Snyder typically sees me and he does a great job of giving me the right prescription. Also, when I did decide to get contacts, the ladies at the front desk held my hand through the entire process which I appreciated. The ladies at front desk are truly the backbone of the business. They have always been so kind to me and have done amazing things for my family. (I don’t know about that elderly lady who sometimes works at front desk tho… she is not very pleasant…) Anyway, I went to an optometrist across the street (due to insurance issues) and his office was so dirty and he gave me an off prescription! I had to go back to see Dr. Snyder after that experience, even if that meant I had to pay out of pocket. All in all, I recommend this place, they are very accommodating and always work with your insurance.

Very friendly staff. I was always afraid of going to an eye doctor until I switched over to Dr. Snyder. Recommended highly. The neighborhood this business is located in is beautiful. I love the drive to the eye doctor. Give them a call!

They provide detail information and answers for any questions you have. Everyone is very nice and caring. I have three glasses from Dr Snyder.

This place is very awesome. Such a great atmosphere and professional place, I really enjoy going to small businesses like this and getting that one and one attention. I felt right at home when I entered and didnt have to wait too long. The plus of course I just walked here instead of driving ;-)
The staff was extremely helpful and even helped me used both my 2 years premium from my vision plan, so helped me pay the lowest possible for eye exam and contacts.
Dr Snyder (the Father) was very courteous and funny even during my exam. Cant wait to go again!

Love, LOVE, LOVE the Dr. He’s patient and kind. He explains things and makes you feel as comfortable as possible. He’s also good with kids. The office is small. But it’s cute, neat and put together. There’s usually not a long wait to be seen either. Most of the office staff. are also pretty sweet and very professional. I would give this place 5 stars except for one rude woman in the bunch. (The youngest staff member). She can get a little snippy impatient and rude at tines and that’s not cool. Overall, I like this place and just ignore her. Great Dr.

The office atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The team is very helpful and informative. Both Dr Snyder and Dr Harlan have a great chair side manner. My grandsons have been attending this office for approx. 5 years and actually enjoy their eye exam visits. Highly recommend Snyder Optometry!

I haven’t had my eyes checked in years so I decided to go since I need new glasses. I Unilocaled Alhambra optometrists and this one had good reviews so I set up an appointment. Everyone was so wonderful and friendly, and I got the Marc Jacob glass I’ve been drooling over at a discount! Love this place!

I went in to get an exam, the doctor was great, but the optometrist calls me to tell me that they broke my glasses and I have to come in to pick out new ones, they set up the app for 2pm today. I drive over there and its closed, so I wait and wait. I finally get tired of waiting and call the office to see if maybe I missed someone going in. As it turns out, the emergency service answers and says they already went home!!! WTF? How professional of them. Wasted time, money and gas!

Both Dr. Snyder and his son, Dr. Harlan are wonderful optometrists, very patient and thorough. I have never waited too long to be seen by the doctor, and they are both great about answering my concerns and questions.
Their other staff member, Alice, is also welcoming and pleasant to work with. This makes a difference to me because I was recommended to this office by my mom after an unsatisfactory experience at another optometrist’s office.
Overall I am impressed with their comprehensive eye exams, welcoming office environment, and excellent care. Highly recommend.

I am relatively new to the Alhambra area and, for the sake of convenience, I needed to switch to a nearby optometric service. I could not be more pleased with my recent experience at Snyder Optometry! My initially prescribed progressive lenses required a minor modification for close-​up viewing and, much to my surprise, Dr. David Snyder proceeded to process an order for a second set of lenses at no additional cost to me. Both Drs. Snyder are experts in their field and make their patients feel exceptionally comfortable. This can also be said for the very pleasant young ladies who staff the front office. I would strongly recommend Snyder Optometry to anyone in need of this service.

I have worn contact lenses for over 40 years, and have a very strong prescription. A few years ago I was having problems with comfort, and did not wear contact lenses for a few years. Recently, Dr. Harlan was able to fit me for bifocal contact lenses and bifocal glasses, and I no longer have to carry around reading glasses to use with my contact lenses, nor do I have to switch between regular glasses and reading glasses. Dr. Harlan is caring and patient, and the office staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful, whether it’s picking out glasses or showing me how to use my contact lenses correctly.

The Snyder’s are excellent optometrists. The office has the warm welcome of a family practice while providing the best and most up-​to-​date care. I always know I’m in good hands there and recommend them to everyone.

I was way overdue for an eye exam and my 3 year old son was ready for his first. I found Dr. Harlan through a friend and it was such a great experience for both me and my son that I had to share!
I wasn’t sure how my kid would feel about getting his eyes checked, but Dr. Harlan (who it turns out has a little one of his own) knew just how to handle him. They have a digital screen with pictures instead of letters for little kids, which worked great for my son. He was a little shy at first, but Dr. Harlan was extremely patient and used several different kid-​friendly techniques to complete the exam.
Once it was my turn, I felt like Dr. Harlan was just as thorough and patient with me as he was with my son. He found astigmatism in both eyes and set me up with a prescription for glasses. I told him that I had once tried to wear glasses and they made me nauseous. He checked a few more things, made a few adjustments to the prescription, checked me again, and set me up with cute glasses that I can actually wear.
Snyder Optometry has a long history in Alhambra (this is a father and son business – Dr. Harlan Snyder is the son, Dr. David Snyder is the father), and there are a lot of cool vintage elements to their office, but the technology and services there are all high tech. It’s a very cool mix, and not something you get to see everywhere in LA.
