Nothing better than to stay healthy with a half pound burger aka the Metallica and topped off with some primate fries! Often times people would complain of how greasy the burgers are but hey, if your going to eat unhealthy from the start might as well go all out! With that being said, from the lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado, to the last gram of bacon within this burger, every bite was worth the nickels and dimes I used! It was simply delicious and I am highly looking forward to trying out the Behemoth! Service was friendly and parking is located on the rear side of the structure near Rite Aid. Try it out guys, you can’t go wrong with this place! Five stars for awesome burgers!

Walked in for the first time. I did not get greeted. Cashier was sweeping, but did not get acknowledge. Phone rings, cashier answers the phone and takes an order, still no acknowledgement. I was standing righ in front of the cashier for over 5 min, nit too long, but i felt ignored the whole time. Cashier decides to take my order. While waiting i see a girl come out from the breakroom. Her hair is all over the place and very messy, and made me think how all employees in a restaurant should have their hair up in a pony tail, a bun, braid, or even have a hat or hair net. Cooker didnt have a hat, or hair net either. I took my food to go, only to find a hair on my burger. Never going back again.

No. No. No. No. No. I want to say right off the bat that I always always love a good burger. When I found this burger joint on Unilocal,I was immediately interested in the unique theme and good reviews. It is located in the same plaza as Edwards Alhambra Renaissance 14 theater, which I’ve been to plenty times before but had not noticed Grill ‘Em All a few doors down next to Apple Bee’s(probably for a good reason). So this past Sunday when my family and I were craving burgers for lunch, I dragged everyone here. What a mistake. The first thing you see and hear is the metal themed décor and loud, head-pounding music that muffles conversations. It is an order at the counter and seat yourself situation. The staff was unwelcoming and unhelpful when I asked for burger suggestions. The menu was elaborate and intriguing yet confusing. Still, I was excited to try out the burgers because of the creative combinations. We ordered the Winger, Napalm Death, Witte, and the Overkill Fries for 4 people. All four were very very heavy and greasy. I could feel my arteries clog up with each bite I took, like my intestines were swimming in a sea of oil and aioli sauces. The Winger was extremely average. The Napalm Death was the right amount of spicy, but the cream cheese was a bit much on top of the other spices. The Witte tasted like I was straight up eating salt and cream cheese in between buns. The description«SMOTHERED in white truffle cheese wiz» for the Overkill Fries was entirely too accurate, not to mention soggy and cold. The portions were so big that we were barely able to finish 2 burgers and less than half of the fries. Even the chairs and table were so dirty and covered in people footprints(how??) that we had to wipe them down ourselves while at least around, I kid you not, 15 employees hung out in the cooking area just standing around talking. I baffles me how many good reviews this place has considering its hugely disappointing atmosphere and disgustingly huge portioned greasy food. I was so thirty after eating this salty meal that I probably consumed all of the drinkable water in California. I will never be returning to Grill ‘Em All. Yuck.

From the first time I heard about the Behemoth, I knew I had to have one. It’s a half pound burger with cheddar, bacon, grilled onions, pickles, bbq sauce… and the bun has been replaced by a grilled cheese sandwich on each side of the burger. That’s right, a burger between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. Welcome to the Jungle Baby… You’re Gonna Die… But somehow I lived to type up this review, although 911 is on speed dial just in case. My first impression was, wow this is greasy. Ok, now perhaps I’m being a moron here. I’m eating a freakin’ burger between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. That’s 4 slices of buttered and grilled bread, of course it’s going to be greasy. I should have expected it. That’s like going into a strip club and complaining about the girls having fake boobs. That said, it was really greasy. The burger itself could have been a little more flavorful as it seemed all the flavor was coming from some really tasty bacon, vinegary pickles, grilled onions, and tangy BBQ sauce. I’m thinking I might have enjoyed this burger on a regular bun more, and I doubt I would do the grilled cheese bun concept again. However, it was something to say you’ve done. And done it, I have. 4 stars. My partner in Dine, Dan H. enjoyed his Immortal Burger, which had blue cheese, sautéed mushrooms, red onion, and field greens. He said their bun held up pretty well. It sure looked good. We also shared a good size order of Overkill French Fries. These are definitely portioned for two people and covered in white truffle flavored cheese wiz. We differed of opinion on these fries. Dan really like them, and I thought it was kind of obnoxious. They did fit the vibe of the place though. This isn’t the delicate flavor of truffle oil, it really punches you in the mouth. Maybe I wasn’t into the cheese wiz flavor mixed with the white truffle oil. I’m a huge fan of Umami Burger’s truffle cheese fries, but they are using actual truffle cheese, rather than cheese wiz. I would try a different order of fries next time. 3 stars. I really loved the heavy metal concept and vibe here. Grill ‘em all is a very fun place and you should go rock out there with a tasty burger if you are in the neighborhood.

My boyfriend and I stopped by and we were greeted with the friendly staff right away! We got to meet the owner and she was just super sweet. She was explaining some of the stories behind their popular burgers. They put a lot of time and care and thought into their burgers, which made me appreciate their menu even more. Their most popular one is the behemoth, which they sell 1500 a week! I found that insane! They also have a rotating burger of the month. So ours came with cowboy caviar and rabbit chili which was super interesting. The caviar was so delicious and a nice fresh contrast to the heavier things in the burger. The presentation of the burgers were simply amazing too! I can appreciate the restaurants I visit more when they plate their food nicely instead of throwing things onto a plate. They frequently checked up on us too to make sure we were doing alright and if we needed anything else. I also love the theme of the restaurant. It’s very rock and the whole entire place from the painted walls to the fonts really put you in a whole different world. They also are vegetarian friendly if you need that, which I found so cool because everything just seemed so heavy metal/rock/meaty haha.

I first heard about Grill Em All in Decibel Magazine back in 2010. Thought the idea was so killer. Then, I see Grill Em All on «The Great Food Truck Race». Cheered them on, & they won. They had made their way close to me a couple of years ago via the truck, but I could not make it to try. The newest chance came last Wednesday. My girlfriend, & I were talking about possible places to eat, & Grill Em All popped in my head. Told her about it, she looked at the menu, & was for it. Luckily, we found out it was a short 15 minutes from where we were staying. We headed over around 8PM. We walked in, & tons of cool art(portraits of King Diamond, Lemmy, & others) adorn the wall, as well as other musicians/wrestlers autographs on the wall. Two TV’s are there. One had an Iron Maiden concert, & the other an old WWF Smackdown from 1999 on the other. I am a metal/punk/wrestling fan so I felt right at home. I ordered the Waste Em All, & fries. My lady ordered a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, & the Primate Fries The burger was cooked to perfection. A half pound patty, Green Chilies, Jack Cheese, & Grilled Onions. Fries are hand cut. The flavor of the burger/toppings were a match made in heaven. We chowed down. The staff was great. I was talking with a guy named Fabian(Maybe he was a manager). Fabian was way cool, & he was kind enough to hook these out of towners up with a desert. Deep Fried Bread Pudding with Pecans, & homemade glaze. Good god, was it amazing. We paid our check, bought merch, & left feeling full, welcome, & happy. We will be back. Thanks, Grill Em All for a fun experience!

For whom the bad review tolls. My man and I were really looking forward to a good burger place on Sunday Funday. The mighty helpful Unilocal app brought us to Grill Em All. First of all, the staff seemed so grumpy and unwelcoming. If that’s part of their lil metal-theme then bravo but damn I did not feel welcome there. The menu was enticing yet confusing. It took us so long to make up our minds and not to mention the pressure of being in line and if you’re not in line, then good luck finding a place to stand to just look at the menu. It’s just so small in there!(that’s what she said) Though we started off on a disappointing note, we were still confident that the food would be worth it. Well, it was not. Damn, how very sad is it to take a bite of a great-looking burger and your taste-buds be like, «That’s it? Where’s the pizzazz, the flavor?» We simply ate some of the food because we were really hungry. The fries weren’t even good and how do you mess up fries?! How?!

Now, I love my burgers and have searched high and low for the perfect one. Found it here, along with the most lovely service imaginable(which means the management treats its folks right!). My mom gave me a burger and movie night out with my hubby for my b’day and read up ‘Grill ‘Em All. Completely delightful, over the top burgers(I got the Power Slave, my sweetie opted for the Samoa), fries(we split an order and brought half our burgers home!) done to perfection AND this ridiculous dessert brought with a candle by the one of the team there. If you have not been, get over there stat. Also, love IPA on draft. Atmosphere great fun — will listen to metal with my meal any day! Will probably never order another burger anywhere.

After hearing so much about Grill ‘Em All, my boyfriend and I decided to go here to try the burgers last night. Yes, it’s is TRUE! These burgers are GREAT! I ordered but could not finish the Immortal Burger and unsalted fries, with which I paired a draft of Ohana Pale Ale. I had enough of my Immortal Burger and fries for my lunch today. My boyfriend ordered the Cowboy Burger and unsalted fries, with which he paired a Firestone Luponic Distortion Beer. He barely finished his burger, but he had to get a box for his fries. We both loved our selections of food and beer pairings, which balanced each other nicely. As others have mentioned, the burgers are good but very salty. So, if you get fries, I highly recommend following the advice of previous patrons: Get The Fries Without Salt! The metal music playing, the art work and signs, and the metal videos playing on the flat screen TVs made the experience fun, and the staff were really nice. Grill ‘Em All is not cheap, but you definitely get good quality for the price.

I would sell my soul for any of their burgers. Their burgers are well seasoned out of the ordinary but they are so good it feels like a sinful pleasure. They don’t have mcdonalds prices but they are gourmet burgers!!! They’re definitely different but in the best way possible and their moshpit bbq is so so good and and their aioli is so tasteful i wanted to steal the whole bottle and take it home!!! And their ketchup is equally sensational! Bomb burgers, great music… Its a religious experience! I’ve literally have driven 70 miles just to get a burger for the night and it was worth every drop of gas! You wont be disappointed just go!!!

This place is a metal head’s paradise! They blast good tunes, and the food is exquisite. The only downsides are that the burgers alone range from $ 8-$ 14 and the indoor seating is a little crowded. The quality of the food perfectly reflects the price, so I don’t ever feel like its unreasonably prices. Everyone I’ve ever brought here who wasn’t into metal music left with a sense of curiosity about the music and the culture, so don’t let an unfamiliarity with the music stop you from coming!

So I was fortunate enough to be working right down the street from this spot and remembered I book marked it so I had to go. I got there at 11:00 am so I was the first customer. The place is really cool, geared toward the late 80’s early 90’s Heavy Metal era. Décor was sweet. Honestly I really didn’t know what to order because everything sounded so good. I ended up ordering the Napalm Death burger. I like spicy, I like Jalapeño poppers, and everything the burger offers. As I was waiting for my burger I was lucky enough to see the lady cooking the 50lbs. of bacon for the day. Talk about being teased with a weakness. I really wanted to ask If I could go behind the counter and take a picture of the work of art she had displayed on the cooktop. Didn’t take long to get my order which was great. As I walked out I immediately regreted not ordering High on Fire fries. When I got back to work and opened the container little did I realize how huge this thing was. I cut it in half to make it easier to handle. First bite OO off the hook! Every bit brought more and more flavor. I think the what complimented the burger the most was the cream cheese. It really soothed the burn, ha ha. This burger lived up to its name and then some. I could only get through half because its a big burger. When I finished up and went inside I broke out in a sweat as if I ran 10 miles in 110 degree weather. All good though, it was worth every bite. I’ll be back with my family next time. Great job guys.

I enjoyed a belated birthday dinner here tonight w/my cousin and was not disappointed! This being my first visit, I opted for the Dee Snider Burger which is slathered in chunky PB, sweet strawberry jam, salty bacon and spicy Sriracha. The flavors all worked so well together, melding into a flavor bomb of awesome in my mouth. The High on Fries were equally tasty, but I honestly almost wish I hadn’t ordered them since I was so full from devouring that peanut buttery burger from the metal gods! I will definitely be going back to Grill ‘Em All to indulge my burger fantasies.

I want to believe that the Dee Snider burger was made just for me. No? It wasn’t? That’s okay. It’s the only burger I’ve had from GEA but it’s already my favorite. Not many places can combine such opposite ingredients and come out as winners. The burger patty is first and foremost extremely juicy. That’s already a major kudos for them. Add bacon and Sriracha and bam!, winning. Now with the extra addition — and some might wonder why was this even considered — of crunchy peanut butter and jelly and winner takes all! I’m a fan of odd combinations, but odd combinations that work and this is definitely one of them. The juiciness of the burger plays well with the creaminess of the peanut butter and the jelly’s sweetness helps with the fatty, savoriness of the bacon. The Sriracha just adds a bit of heat that is always welcome in any dish. All of the ingredients work well together and none stands out in an off putting way. As a side, I ordered the primate fries. I was introduced to these fries as a «better than In-N-Out animal-style» and I must agree. The fries themselves already taste better(nice crunch, light salt, non-greasy) and the hefty slathering of thousand island dressing topped with caramelized onions and cheese was plenty. The service was great as everyone was very attentive before and after being served and that’s always a plus. GEA is a place for all, metal head or otherwise, just be prepared for some good food!

I was brought by a fellow foodie friend who neglected to tell me that wearing a salmon colored Tommy Bahama shirt in a place like this would make me look as out of place… as Linda Evans in a mosh pit. The food here is unparalleled… from the Dee Snyder burger to the Deep Fried bread pudding. What I really enjoyed while sitting at the counter… was the unremitting line of hard rock fans waiting eagerly to get into the place while Pantera played over muted screens of Back To The Future. They’re so busy that one automatically knows they’re headed for franchise-Dom. The world is ready for an 80’s metal diner. But this 80’s metal diner may not be ready for the world… Needs more staff and better seating, though!

Second trip to Grill ‘Em All. Went in for the Dee Snider. It defies logic. This burger really should suck. I mean, come on… PB&J+sriracha on a bacon cheeseburger(I added American cheese). OMG! I won’t say it’s my «go-to» burger, but man! This thing is awesome! The jelly, sriracha, and juice from the burger come together to form this, like, sweet and sour-y kinda barbecue sauce, and then the peanut butter is kinda just hangin’ around for an interesting aftertaste. Really. Do it. YOLO. A couple buddies and I also got the primitive fries, No More Mr Nice Fries, and the special Chokehold Fries(curried cheese and artichoke). Man. Soooo good! Like last time, I’ll be back. Napalm Death up next. I think I’ll need to ride my bike there though just to burn off the calories.

Where burgers and metal meet. Heavy metal that is. I finally had the chance to try this place after hearing so many good things about them. Great atmosphere(lots of metal heads) and very attentive service. Art and stickers surround the place while keeping a clean look. You can also buy their hats/t-shirts. The Cowboy from Hell Burger was delicious. Not the craziest burger on the menu but still full of flavor. If you like buffalo wings, definitely get the High on Fries.(Buffalo chicken, bleu cheese, wing sauce) One thing that won me over was that they were serving Broken Skull IPA during Wrestlemania. Well done Grill Em All, well done. Will definitely be back.

Grill Em All is Rock N Roll Burger Heaven! What’s not to love? If the Rainbow Bar & Grill + A Burger Stand had a baby this would be it. Service was great. Everyone was friendly and the cooks checked up on us engaging us in conversation about our Trooper Beers. The key to getting served quickly probably depends on the time you come in. We came in on a Sunday shortly after opening hours it was dead, walked right up to the front, ordered, received our burgers within 5 – 10 mins. However 30 minutes after opening a line out the door. This place is clearly popular and sought out, be mindful of this when coming. Atmosphere: 5 stars! You can’t beat a place that plays Motörhead, Maiden, and Dio back to back. Pure heaven. I felt at home instantly. Also the décor is pretty cool, motley Crue posters, burger band tees made for the restaurant pretty cool. If you love Rock n Roll & Metal this is the place for you. To be honest I didn’t wanna leave. Food & Drink: 5 stars. In all honestly a place this cool I wouldn’t really care how the food is, extra bonus that not only is this place badass the food matches. Burgers, fries, and beer you can’t go wrong. Tried the Dee Snider– PBJ burger was delicious, new flavors you wouldn’t be used to having on a burger but delicious none the less. Fries looked great but I’d recommend sharing, there is no way I could eat one of their massive burgers plus fries on my own. Beer: great selection of brews. Obviously Trooper Iron Maidens beer is a favorite. Less of a wow factor since I’ve been buying it at Bevmo since it came out but none the less for those that can’t get their hands on it this will be an awesome treat. Also appreciate that they have eagle rock brewing company beer here, very tasty. Rock N Roll heaven, this place deserves your business. Love the concept and the food.

I snagged a table on a busy Sunday evening while the bd stood in line to order. I left it all up to him and anxiously waited dang near 30 minutes for its arrival. All that wait and guess what… my burger was missing key components!!! I added bacon and an egg and of course both were missing. So here I was waiting once again… With their reviews almost hitting 1700 and 4 stars, I expected something near perfection. I tried the Immortal burger, no bleu cheese and added bacon and an egg. Near the soda fountain they have a few sauces to choose from and I of course opted for the garlic aioli to pile all over my bun. Overkill fries, which consisted of house-cut fries smothered in white truffle cheese wiz. The burger was simple in taste, but the fresh ingredients, fat patty, and bun made it something special. The white truffle cheese wiz is awesome. Truffle goodness in every bite! You’ll spend around $ 20+ for a burger, fries, and a drink. You can definitely share it, or devour it alone and leave in a food coma. I’ll definitely be back to try something else out.

I was scared. It was monstrous. It was the creative result of a culinary beast. I loved it. I was brought here on a whim by someone who tried to explain the massive burgers but words really couldn’t do it justice. The Behemoth: bacon cheeseburger cradled by two complete grilled cheese sandwiches masquerading beautifully as burger buns. It was juicy, it was savory, it was surprisingly less oily than I expected and I didn’t hate myself as much after. I expected the grilled cheese to add way too much grease but they managed to toast the grilled cheese well without too much excess oil. The cheese was just enough and not overbearing. The Jump in the Fryer: it’s that perfect combo bite from Roscoe’s mixed with a simply elegant bacon burger. The sweet, the salty, the spicy– my mouth was confused. It was a flavor adventure. It was breakfast, it was lunch, it was a middle finger to those that try and separate the two. In consideration of your blood pressure and heart health, this place should only be a now and then spot, but man am I glad I know it exists now. Missing that last star because I felt the lack of better beer representation. It would have been nice to see the beer list on something other than a stained sheet of computer paper. The beers only add to the meal! Did appreciate that they carry Golden Road though.

What is all the hype about? Not sure since their burgers are large but they are not in charge. Both my brother’s burger and my burger were so well done you could have used it as charcoal. The good thing is that they knew we ordered it medium rare so they redid it. The problem though is that we had to wait for them to fix it and our fries got cold since we were waiting for our burgers to eat the fries with. That’s why it’s called burgers and fries, no? So cold fries and forever and a day for remade burgers that were big but weren’t anything special. Seriously tasted like Red Robins’ burger and man how I’m not a fan of Red Robins. And yeah, the price is steep for what you get. So big burgers with no bang for your buck or memorable flavors. And yeah, they grill ‘em all, they grilled our burgers to death LOL!

I friggin loved this Food Truck before they became exclusively a brick and mortar. I drove by and saw Grill Em All in Westwood with a bunch of cameramen shooting for their website. I like to think I’m adventurous foodie and this weird combination of peanut and grape jelly in a big juicy burger called the Dee Snider is just fiken genius! Oh BTW it also has a squirt of sriracha and thick cut bacon on a nice soft brioche bun. I remembered watching the Food Truck Race but never paid attention to who won but it wasn’t until I went to their website that I realized YES this was the truck! Next on my to do list is that Molly Hatchet just cause I’m a sausage gravy junkie. Thank you GEA for producing great burgers using quality ingredients with creativity!

3.5STARS After reading great Unilocal reviews, I stopped by for a crafty burger. The restaurant has a death metal feel to it with the genre of music playing in the background. I don’t listen to this type of music, but I had a great time experiencing a different environment(even though the music made me feel like stabbing someone). Cashier recommended the Cowboy From Hell Burger(pulled chicken, jalapeño bacon, garlic aioli). I ordered it medium rare and it was perfectly cooked(Juicy)!! The only problem was the patty(½ lb.) was too big. The flavors didn’t balance well with the other ingredients. There was barely any lettuce, barely any sauce, etc.(compared to the huge burger). However, they have plenty of selections to choose from. I am positive that you will find a burger that you will enjoy after looking over the menu. If you like A LOT of meat in your burger, this place has your name written all over it! If not, it was still a great experience and I was glad I came.
