168 Fix It

I called several repair stores in the area. 168 fix it had the cheapest and great customer service. Taylor answered the phone and when I came in she helped me. They are homet. My phone stopped charging and I knew it could be the battery or three charge output. It happened to be both but took care of the charge output only because I was going to get a new phone. They gave me a better rate than the competition. Quick and friendly service. I also came back for them to put a screen protector.
Will refer all my family and friends.

I dropped my phone and the screen was going crazy. I had two hours before school, so i called a few stores around me for pricing and this one was my best best. I also asked if they can fix it quickly. They said yes so i went to the store within ten min. and took me right away and did it in a short time. I went next door to the market for food, and boba while it was getting done, and it was done within 20 min. And for a reasonably price. I also got a tempered glass so it would not happen again. Customer service is great, and great selection of cases, and accessories.

We came here to fix my grandfathers iPad and they truly know what great customer service is. The prices are great compared to other places and they are very good people. They were kind and patient to my grandfather and I appreciate that. We highly recommend them! Thanks again Taylor and Jason!

Wonderful customer service from Taylor and Jason. I dropped my iPhone 6 on a recent travel and the screen cracked, despite having a protection glass done at the store. Taylor recommended a thicker phone protector and I immediately bought one (recommended by Jason) that day so that it gives extra protection in case I drop it again. I felt very comfortable expressing my concerns with the employees here because they were so friendly! Highly recommend if you have screen cracks/​phone problems (and they are fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English). Keep it up guys!

Such great service here! Every time I come here I am always greeted by friendly people! They are professional and fast! I’ve come 3 times already and they never disappoint! This last time I took my children with me and we all know hauling children around is a hassle but I went there anyway to fix the home button on my iPhone. I walk in and get helped right away, despite there being a couple people there already. They inform me that it will be about 40 mins. Since I don’t want to drive back I decide to stay and wait. They come out with my phone in half the time! I was so grateful!!!

Great customer service and honest. My iPhone 5 screen was cracked and camera wasn’t working. She quoted me for both and when I came back to pick up the phone, she told me I didn’t need a new camera, she just had to reconnect the old one so she saved me money! My phone is fixed and is working perfectly.

First and foremost I never write reviews on here. But after my experience here the other day I feel it is necessary to give them a good review.
I had dropped my phone the night before coming here and the bottom half of my phone was black. An employee from AT&T recommended me this place as it would be a cheaper fix than purchasing a brand new phone. He was right. Not only was Taylor helpful, she provided me knowledge about my phone that I didn’t know. She said it would take 30 mins to fix and I was already amazed at how quickly it can be done. She ended up fixing it in 20. Amazing!
Overall, I had a very good experience here. Definitely recommend others to come here when they have an issue with their phone.

I had to take them down a few stars. After day 1, the screen started to show streaking, no scratches but some sort of glass defect under the initial layer. Upon researching defective glass, I found this to be a glass defect in the finishing process. To make a long story short, Jason (I’m assuming the manager) made things right with an alternative solution. However, the quality of the products used is simply poor. The new screen applied is now separating from the phone and has exposed the internal components.
Another employee named Fawn however, was simply rude. Not only to me, but to other customers in the store who walked out after her poor customer service. I would recommend you avoid her when coming in with a phone issue.
Bottomline: they will fix your phone. But you may not get quality material from the start or you may be stuck working with Fawn who simply cannot comprehend anything wrong with product quality.
My recommendation: go to the Apple Store in Pasadena and have them fix for phone screen — it’s cheaper ($ 109, $ 79 with apple care) and you won’t have to pay this store’s $ 120 fee to have someone tell you you’re wrong and deal with the hassle. I didn’t research my options when in crisis, but I wish I had. I would also assume you get Apple quality end-​to-​end when working with the manufacturer.

Broke my iPhone 6 this morning when I dropped it on the concrete. My sister recommend me to come here since she’s been here before. At first the guy told me the phone would be ready until 2−3hrs later since there were other phones ahead of mine. I asked if they can work on it if I brought it in tomorrow morning when they open. The guy who was working on the repairs heard me and was very accommodating. He told the guy helping me that he can work on my phone right away and it would take 30 minutes. What’s 30mins!!! I shopped around for a new case while waiting and sat down for 5mins. The phone was done! It didn’t even seem like 30mins. The repair guy is my hero! I even had time to grab lunch before heading back to work. BTW It was $ 125 (a little expensive, but worth it since it was fast and the guy did a great job). It’s like having a new phone again. Thank you so much!

Kind of late, but this place deserves the review. I was lucky enough to be given a Nexus 6, with the only issue being a broken screen. Took it in to my friends at 168 and received a wicked deal on the work and parts that were required. Although an old phone, the work these guys do is outstanding.
Nexus 6: screen/​digitizer replacement

This is the first bad review I ever write and I honestly hate to do this but I am very disappointed. I went in to fix the screen of my iPhone 6 Plus. It was completely broken. They told me that it wouldn’t be a problem and that they would fix it. When I went in the next day to pick up my phone I realized that the screen was coming off the phone. I told the person that was helping me and she asked a guy that was sitting in the back fixing phones. I’m not sure what he said but she came right back and said, «oh it’s because your phone is crooked. So we can’t really do anything about this». They should’ve told me that when I dropped it off!
I went through them instead of my insurance because it would cost me 50 dollars less but now I regret it. My phone is literally falling apart! I paid $ 145 for nothing.

The other night, I was sitting in my car and had forgotten that I had my phone on my lap. As soon as I had gotten up and out of the car, my phone took a leap of faith and fell hard onto the concrete floor. The screen was perfectly fine; however, the back camera lense was completely shattered. I sulked for the night as I thought I would need to replace the phone until I went on Unilocal to find a phone repair shop.
168 Fix It was the closest repair shop in the area. The person who helped me, Taylor, quickly found the replacement part needed for my phone. It only took them a few minutes to fix the camera lense! Customer service was amazing. Super nice, friendly, and easy to talk to! Price was great and phone is working perfectly. It’s as if that leap of faith fall never happened. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to repair your phone.

Had the two cons not happen it Would be been 5 stars!

Just had my Samsung Note 3 replaced through verizon. A couple weeks later, it wouldn’t hold a charge, and even when connected to a charger, the battery would still drain. It was 330pm and I needed my phone fixed before starting a new job the next morning. I didn’t want to deal with nor could I wait for a replacement phone.
I found 168 fix it on Unilocal after searching for a place to try and repair the charging port on my note 3. I called and spoke with Dennis, he told me he wasn’t sure he had the part, but that he would look and call me back. About 30 mins later, I got a call from Dennis, telling me he would have to order the part, and that he could have it later that evening between 6 and 630 and he could have it in my phone before they close at 7 When I got there at 630 everyone was really friendly, and the service was quick, after a systems and function check of my phone they started working on it, then 15 minutes and $ 45 bux later my phone was like new!
I am extremely grateful to Dennis and the crew at 168 fix it. They came through for me when I was really in need. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs their deviced fixed.

It’s been some time that I’ve left a review ANYWHERE but this is a place I totally must share !!
4pm: I called ahead to ask for prices and hours the guy was helpful and straight forward.
6pm: I called and said I was going and they close at 7.
Arrived at 7:30 and not only did they welcome me with open arms but they were superbly friendly and kind.
I even got a chocolate from Tyler «who called me fat and sad, lol jk.» No she didn’t she was a sweetheart
Dennis was polite and gave me a few pointers regarding (the Apple Store) and just overall great!
I came in sad with a broken phone and a crappy phone case and I’m currently in car typing up this review, with a new glass and new phone cover. happy as can be.

My Nexus 5 kept cycling OFF & ON and then optimizing 166 apps making my phone unusable and draining the battery. I read online that it’s the power button that needed to be fixed but my phone was out of warranty. I called the store at 6:30pm and they said if I got there in 10 mins they could fix it for me. I got there at about 6:50pm and the repair guy (forgot to get his name) stayed behind to fix it for me. 20 mins later whatever he did seemed to do the trick. He even threw in a screen cover and put it on for me. There’s a 90 day warranty too so if anything goes wrong with it I can bring it back and they will take a look. Staff was extremely helpful and nice!
Thanks for resurrecting my phone! I can now go back to ignoring people =D

I received prompt service. Walked in, was greeted by the staff. Dennis replaced my headset jack on my Samsung SIII in a few minutes. Will return for any cell phone needs.

Came in for my screen replacement for Samsung S4 after reading the review and having my friends gone here before. The price is fair considering how it’s more laborious to change a Samsung screen than an iPhone. They were kind enough to swap my bezel free of charge with parts left over. They check everything before and after replacing the screen. I did have a hitch when I first went back to pick up the phone, but they had no problem fixing the issue.
Overall it was professionally done. I would totally come back, but ideally I wouldn’t want to break my phone screen again.

Love. Love. Love this place!!! My bf and I found them at a vendor booth at the Chinese New Year festival on valley earlier this year. They added tempered glass screen protector to my bfs iPhone 6 and I just added a regular screen protector on my iPhone 5. They did a really clean job adding the screen protectors on the phones. I went back to them again when I upgraded to iPhone 6. My bf dropped his phone a few weeks after he added the tempered glass and boy was he lucky. The original screen was still in tact. So I decided to add the temper glass instead.
The store is next to the 168 supermarket in San Gabriel. The store had a few employees working on other ppl’s phones. But they were attentive and greeted all their customers! I waited less than 5 mins for them to install my new screen. In the meantime, I was browsing at all the other phone and iPad accessories. The price and quality of the work was excellent. I have referred and recommend this place for all my future cellular needs.

Came here 2 weeks ago to get the glass screen on my iPhone 6 changed as I had cracked it in a million pieces. I called around to more than a handful of repair shops, and 168 had the most competitive pricing. Jonathan (super adorbz in his yellow tinted nerd glasses) was SUPER sweet and even turned my business away when he heard I had AppleCare– warning me about breaking Apple warranty.
I returned anyway, and he fixed it for me while I was at work. Picked it up as soon as I was off.
Today, I came in to get the screen placed back in cus it popped out. I lost my receipt but Dennis took care of me regardless. He was also super sweet, and chatted a bit with me while he ran around looking for accessories for my phone.
