The design and construction bug bit both in childhood: Mike is a third-​generation local remodeling contractor and woodworker; Debi is an experienced interior designer and project manager who designed and built her own doll’s houses. Pyne Studios brings their talents together in the business they love. They’ve made Pyne Studios the perfect «boutique» design/​build firm for clients who appreciate their hands-​on approach and professionalism while also wanting to enjoy their creative solutions and top-​quality construction.

With timeless style and concentrating on small to medium-​range projects, the Pyne’s take care of everything: feasibility studies, design development and documentation, permitting, and construction.

Mike and Debi P.

Business Owner

While still in school, Mike Pyne «apprenticed» in his Grandfather’s custom cabinetry studio and then worked for his Dad’s construction business. Mike spent decades delivering top-​quality additions, whole-​house renovations, kitchen and bath remodeling, and restorations. With his wife Debi, Mike started Pyne Studios to continue the family tradition — and the family commitment to solid construction and high-​quality work.

Debi Pyne is a talented designer and project manager. She obtained her BFA in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and has designed everything from boutique hotels to corporate offices. She also served as senior project manager for major design and construction projects at a large international financial institution. Debi is passionate about making the most of clients’ budgets and using her talents in space planning and design to create interior spaces and home exteriors that live up to or exceed clients’ dreams.
