NOVA Junk Removal

I’m not normally a bargain shopper for anything, let alone junk removal. I just want things done well and I want things done ASAP. I filtered the reviews and took the 2 closest companies with 5 stars, and asked for quotes using the Unilocal app. I was pumped up the jam when the other company’s quote was more than half less. And then they told me it was a typo and it was way more expensive! Byeeee.
Decision made easy.
NOVA Junk Removal’s quote was totally reasonable for: providing a huge truck, coming to the house, being timely and nice, providing labor and muscles, doing the heavy lifting, and sending things off to get-​out-​of-​my-​sight-​ville.
I did all the quote collecting and time coordinating through Unilocal messaging and iMessage. My outgoing message on my cell’s voicemail says, «Hi, this is Cathy. Text me! BEEP.» So messaging made my life easy peasy because I hate talking on the phone socially.
My time frame for pick up, when they’d show up was 7−9am. On the day of, I got a call and voicemail that they’d be at my house in 20 minutes. See how I screened and didn’t pick up the call?! I iMessaged the VM number, that we were home and ready.
Two strong guys showed up and removed 4 couches from the first floor, and 1 seriously heavy elliptical from our second floor. I paid, I tipped, and dunzo. From there, they stayed outside and played Tetris– organizing my furniture and furniture from a previous pick up.
The entire process was just… so easy! I loved it.
We’re clearing out our house to do a major remodel in a couple months so I plan to use them again.

Excellent service! I’ve used this company twice and have recommended them to friends. They have moved furniture in a townhouse and disposed of TV’s. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.

We got an emailed quote to remove a couch and loveseat. I called almost 2 months later and the quote was honored and I was able to schedule the removal the next day. The two workers were nice, quick, and efficient. I would recommend their services and use them again.

This was my third time using Nova Junk and service was again fantastic. They showed up within the window, removed all items (even some I didn’t originally mention) and swept at the end. The pricing is always reasonable and fair.

The two crew members were professional, courteous, and fast. I had been procrastinating forever… if I’d known how easy it could be I would have called long before. These are guys are great. We called them on a Thursday after hours and they still picked up. They were able to schedule a junk pick up for the next day (granted it was a very large window) but it was such a relief they were able to squeeze us in. The prices are pretty competitive for such quick turnaround. They arrived the next day and quickly loaded the junk from our kitchen renovation. They charge by how much the truck gets filled (check out their site for specifics) and take all forms of payment. So glad they have a square for credit card purchases, the entire process from them showing up, loading and emailing me my receipt took approximately 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

Response to inquiry was prompt. Scheduling was easy. Crew called when they were on the way, worked diligently, safely, and quickly. Pricing was fair when we added on a few extra items from the original estimate. We will definitely use them again.

Great service, friendly employees, efficient removal and hauling of a queen-​sized mattress. Took less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend.

They were amazing! Super nice and professional and fun. It was a very tough job. I cleaned out my father’s house who is a bit of a hoarder. After filling up two 14 foot trucks and having to break down a shed, dog house and other structure in the backyard they worked their asses off. I would certainly recommend them to anyone. I am very happy I called them. The positive Unilocal reviews helped me make that choice, but they sealed the deal with the excellent job they did. They even hemmed me move some heavy boxes to another room which isn’t even required. Thanks guys!!!

Cleaning house! They hauled out my piano that needed to go. The booking and estimate was so easy. Did it right through Unilocal.They were quick, efficient and timely. The guys were really great and came with a smile. Very highly recommend.

I got a call ahead of time letting me know when to expect the guys. They showed up promptly, did a great job, had a great positive attitude and took care of business quickly and efficiently. I will definitely use them again and recommend them highly. What a pleasure to receive this level of service. If every business worked like this the world would be a better place.

This company is great: They worked really quickly (as in 10 minutes to haul out a bed, some chairs, and some kitchen appliances), and they were already familiar with my apartment building so I didn’t have to even worry about telling them where to go or park their truck. This is a super affordable and convenient service too. I’ve tried the big name junk removal services, and NOVA Junk was so much cheaper and so much easier to schedule (I called two days before and had no trouble coming up with a time that worked). I highly recommend them!

These guys are honestly amazing. The price was crazy amazing. Very good deal! They worked their asses off to clear out house in 6 hours. The ENTIRE house including dishes in cabinets, the fridge, all the furniture and crap. Clothing, washer and dryer, the entire garage, bedrooms, a shed, and area carpets in the bedrooms. The crew worked hard. No goofing around or half ass anything. Very hard workers. I couldn’t be more impressed or happy, not to mention grateful. A+++++ Norman is wonderful and gets back to you very quickly. I would highly recommend. I will def use them again! Call them NOW

These guys were great — showed up right when they said they would, thoroughly clean up the area, and even offered to «top-​off» the truck when it was clear I had almost a full truck.

I was surprised by the level of service, speed, courtesy – and oh going with the grain, they are reasonably priced. I will definitely, both, recommend and use them again.
Specifically, I needed them to remove my living room furniture before my painters showed up. Due to my scheduling error, I could only get a 9−11am appointment. However, Norman put in a note to try and have my delivery picked up as early as possible within that timeframe.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received a phone call at 7:00am from Omar. He’d mentioned the note and that he was on his way. The rest is good service history.

Hopping on the bandwagon and giving this business another well deserved 5-​stars.
We had a lot of large furniture that we needed to get rid of quickly. I called in the day before and was able to get an appointment for the next morning. Crew of two came early within the 2-​hour timeframe with a quarter of the truck already full.
They originally estimated that the whole lot would take more than one trip. However, the workers did an excellent job at breaking our sturdy IKEA furniture down and packing everything in tight. They were able to squeeze everything into that one truck load!
Bottom line — this business is professional, quick and reasonably priced. We saved over a hundred bucks compared to what another company had quoted is for.

So I’m going to echo what everyone else here has said– communicative, efficient, and reasonably priced.
I needed a shed demo’d in two days time. I got four estimates, NOVA Junk Removal was the best price and they were the easiest to communicate with. Norman was great about getting back to me, confirming dates/​times, and sending me invoices. The work was done in 2 hours. The site was clean. Everything exceeded my expectations. I could pay with a credit card (always a plus!).
I would highly recommend them for this type of work.

Just another boring 5 Star review for this business. I wish more businesses, and our government, were as dedicated to excellence as NOVA Junk Removal is. I have now used them on two occasions and will have a third in the near future. In each case Omar was professional and highly motivated. They have multiple teams in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area. Omar is focused on Virginia. He and his team were quick, efficient, followed directions, took care of our house in the process of removing large awkward items, and an overal pleasure to do business with. Communication was outstanding, keeping us informed in advance and during the job.
I highly recommend them. This is a quality business that deserves our support because it earns it, each and every job.
