I just had to post this because I was so offended. I am a longtime cancer survivor and on disability. A friend of mine arranged to pay for Maid Pro maid service to clean my apartment.
The service showed up almost two hours late. They seemed to have no major objections to working when I talked to them after they arrived. I went next door to talk to a neighbor and they left with out completing a room.
I called their office and the manager said that they left because «my place smelled». I have had service in before and none of my friends have ever had a complaint about smell.
I just think they were unprofessional and can not recommend their service based on my recent experience.

When I first started to use MaidPro 3 years ago, I was pleased with their service. Unfortunately, I have to say things have deteriorated over the years. Every week it seemed as though there was a new person at my home, and the quality varied greatly. Some would do a great job, others were lazy. The biggest concern is I had to monitor their hours like a hawk. I was consistently overcharged week over week, and the owner refused to adjust my estimated rate. So unless I wrote down the time they got there and left, I would be overcharged by significant amounts. They can do a good job, but watch out for what you are paying in relation to how long they are actually cleaning your home.

They were fast and very professional. They have been the first service that I asked to clean around my dog’s crate that actually did it! Even though I didn’t ask them, they took it upon themselves to clean the inside of the crate. My house looked fantastic and I was extremely pleased with the service. Also, they actually came on time (a problem I’ve had with other services).

WARNING: YOU WOULD BE WISE TO CHOOSE ANOTHER MAID SERVICE IN THE GREATER WASHINGTON AREA.
Do not seek the services of MaidPro of Alexandria. Each MaidPro location is independently owned and therefore the quality of service varies greatly. The quality of cleaning for has been poor to average resulting in many follow up phone calls about incomplete cleanings. Furthermore, specific members of the service staff at the Alexandria location are extremely rude and use derogatory language when questioned about the cleaning performed. Corporate will not support or standby the customer, and disavows any liability of their franchises. I cannot speak to other MaidPro locations; however, avoid this location at all costs!
Btw, I am not the only poster on this board to express concern. I wish I had read the other postings before I signed up with this service. Sadly previous concerns expressed by others became true for us too.
