If you’re looking for an honest car shop then you’ve found it. The owner of this shop checked my car and gave us an honest quote. he told us what we really needed to do and the things that are not a must and are not worth it.

There really no words that can describe how amazing Tom and the rest of the team are to their customers. I’ve been going to them for almost a year now and they are some of the most honest people I’ve encountered in auto services. I’ve had my car taken car of by Tom himself, Wayne, and another young gentleman whom I cannot remember his name. Either way each experience, whether it is was as small as getting my rotors replacedor going in to see why my car was smoking, these guys will take the time to make sure everything is repaired and repaired right. Just know when you come in, you’re gonna be taken care by an honest team and a honest business.

Without question, the best auto service I’ve received in 20+ years. Tom and everyone at K & B go the extra mile. With expertise, honesty, integrity, a smile, and comprehensiveness. We had a very tricky fuel pump replacement-​and-​connector issue which required a lot of time to investigate it properly. Tom and his crew went over the vehicle three different times after three respective failure-​to-​start episodes and didn’t proceed with the work until he was sure that the pump was the source of the problem.
Skip manipulative dealerships or auto service locales whose only interest is the depth of your pocketbook and/​or automotive naïveté. This place is a diamond in the rough.

First time customer here. This place is simply awesome. They hooked up my car, didn’t BS me and walked me through the entire process. If you’re in the area, go to these people. Unbelievable feeling when you find a great auto shop. I believe the prices were fair given the work I needed.
In its highest measure, I recommend this place to all.

After all of the great reviews, I had to take my car to K & B Auto Service. I received a standard oil change and had my rear brake pads replaced, per their recommendation. They were timely in the repairs, the mechanics were personable, the waiting room offered great amenities. My only problem is that the markup on their parts is exorbitant. They charged me $ 94.99 for rear brake pads. These retail from the DEALER at $ 75.00. To be fair, they gave me a discount on labor because I commented on the price. They also recommended a cabin air filter change, at $ 48.00. I purchased one from Amazon a quarter of the price. So many people commented on the affordability of this mechanic. Maybe I’m missing something.
Given that I feel the price of service here is significantly higher than other places in the community, I won’t be back.

Went here after calling a couple of different locations to get a quote on price. I found a cheaper place at a Liberty gas station in Springfield for the service I needed which was replacing my rear brake pads. The Liberty gas station quoted me $ 160 for the parts and service, but it only had two stars and some poor reviews. K & B quoted me $ 175 for parts and labor. The difference is definitely worth it considering how welcoming and responsive the mechanics are. Being from the Fairfax County area, I called Frames Auto Services in Vienna, Rosenthal Mazda Arlington, and contacted the Brake Squad. All the Fairfax County mechanics quoted me $ 250+ for rear brake pad replacement. Also they all lacked availability on the day I called compared to K & B. I went in the early evening and was quoted 45 minutes for my rear brake pads to be replaced as well as air filter replacement. I think overall from experience, if you want to save money while living in Fairfax County and needing auto repair service, its possibly cheaper in Alexandria. In conclusion, super nice guys, clean waiting area, honest and quick service, reasonable prices, and overall good experience. I will likely come here again for service.

I am a first time customer and exceptionally pleased with the very friendly, accommodating service (via phone and in person), and fair pricing.
The waiting area is large and cozy, and has magazines, television, coffee, tea, water and cookies.
Other customers I spoke with while waiting provided rave reviews, mentioning they’ve been coming here for years.

Took my car here today for oil change and transmission flushed and new fluids. There was also a noise when I start the car. Tom took care of the problem and maintenance on the vehicle in a timely manner for a great price. Definitely will take my other cars here when needed.

An honest and an affordable auto service business is hard to find especially in northern Virginia. I am proud to have taken my car to this establishment. I own a Nissan Maxima and was advised by the Nissan Passport dealer of Alexandria to purchase a new power steering hose for $ 650.
K & B offered a second opinion, and performed a thorough analysis of the car which yielded that the leak was minor, but not worthy of a replacement that would warrant such a high cost.
In summary, K & B Auto Service is a business worth your time and money.

I was very satisfied with my first visit to K&B today. They are exceptionally friendly, extremely prompt and totally professional. I dropped my Nissan 370Z off at 8:00 A-​M. for a routine oil & filter change and manufacturer-​recommended checks, and it was done in just a bit over one hour. The price was very reasonable and on a par with what is customary based on my experience. I will be back for my next service.

I’m sitting in the waiting room and decided it was finally time to get around rating this great shop! They are extremely friendly, and do an amazing job on your car for an up front and honest price. They’re always friendly and there’s absolutely no Upselling. Take your car here for any minor to medium maintenance issues!

Fast and affordable. I would recommend this place for those who don’t necessarily need manufacturer brand parts, and are ok with remanufactured parts. My car has almost 100k on it, so rather than paying almost $ 1,000 to get a part replaced at Nissan, K&B took care of it for less than half of that.
Mechanics are knowledgable and are more than willing to help find a solution to your problem.

Very friendly and knowledgeable mechanics. Tom gave me a great deal on my auto repair, about a few hundred less than another mechanic. I definitely recommend.

Came here last minute because my battery light came on because a friend recommended me to take it here to get it checked out & fixed. Got a quote to fix my car less than what the dealership wanted to charge me! Fixed in 2 – 3 hours. There was hardly anybody there when I came in around lunchtime on a Friday. But was busier when I came back around 4.30−5pm. So better come early. Looks like they are right next to a car rental place, and some quick bites. Seems convenient. And Tom is great! I will be back if I have any more car troubles! Also, their waiting area is stocked with coffee and tea and there is a TV and wifi.

I recommend this place to anyone who will listen. Tom is the most honest mechanic I’ve ever dealt with. If they think someone else can do it better, they’ll tell you. You don’t have to worry about being price gouged here.

Just adding to my previous review of K&B. I have a Cadillac Escalade and one of my lights went out. I got a quote from caddy dealership. $ 350.00 for light only not including labor. Tom agreed to do it for me for waaaaaaaay cheaper but while doing it, they found another issue. The order the part on EBay for and the lights and put them in for a very very very reasonable price. I’ll say it again these guys are great. Take your car to these guys you will not be disappointed .

I have been coming here for many years. Tom and his crew are awesome. As a woman I am always concerned that people will try to rip me off and sell me a bunch of stuff I don’t need. Tom is very honest and trustworthy. Everyone is always friendly and they are not expensive as the dealer.

My husband and I love k&b, for a little over a year we have gone here! They are extremely honest and in this area it’s hard to find a shop like this! Tom and the whole crew are great and really know what they are doing! I went to get my state inspection at a different garage and they said I needed some expensive repair to put one bolt on because they claimed they had to take it of replace the part completely, I immediately left there and went straight to k&b who helped me out and put the one bolt on that I needed. I wish they would do inspections so I wouldn’t have to go somewhere else! I highly recommend going here!

I’ve taken both my car and my wife’s here for years, as recommended by a friend. I’ve done oil changes and axle replacements. Tom is super nice yet honest and straightforward. That’s why I trust this place. They’ll get you in and out the door as fast as possible. And their prices are very reasonable. Call around and you’ll see.

I love this place. I have been coming here since 2006 when I moved to the area. I was afraid to go into any auto place (after moving from Jersey City where you get ripped off all the time). But I needed some work done and took a deep breath and have been having sighs of relief ever since!
I have trusted Tom to service my car for anything that has ever come up. I usually call him and describe the problem and he knows what to do right away so that by the time I get there the solution is ready and the repair is done very quickly. I have never feared being over charged for anything. Tom is up front about all costs and there have even been one times when he said to take it somewhere else because they could do it cheaper (muffler replacement) but if I really wanted him to do it he would. Very cool!
Recently I have had coil issues causing a reduction in performance. He changed out the coil but the coil actually failed and has to be replaced again. He did it no charge and it took 15 minutes. I have referred friends and family here who are now loyal customers as well.
Great team of mechanics eager to please and proud of their work. That is hard to find.
