GoGreen Cab

I am very impressed with GoGreen Cab in City of Alexandria, Virginia. When I reached my destination at the Grand Hyatt Washington from Ronald Reagan Airport, I realized that I left my wallet in the back seat of the cab. By the time I realized it, he was gone. I was in a state of panic, filled out a form on-​line and called the company. Within 10 minutes, I received a phone call from Evelyn that the driver was stuck in traffic at the airport, but instead of picking up his next customer he would return to my hotel with the wallet. I was so relieved. The driver didn’t even want to accept my generous tip, but I forced him to. GoGreen Cab is a great honest company. I highly recommend them and will exclusively use them again when I’m in the area.

I had a last minute flight out of Reagan National, departing @ 615 am and needed a reliable taxi pick up from my Falls Church home. I tried this once before, reservations and all and almost missed my fliight with a different company. I searched the internet and was pretty much flooded with negative comments. GO GREEN caught my eye… probably because they had more Unilocal Stars and more reviews. I called the number… no dispatcher… but a detailed explanation of what message to leave for a cab now/​or go on line to fill out a Form for pick up. Well… definitely different… went to the website… filled out the reservation form… and had a call back within an hour. I was told my driver would text me 15m prior to arrival and would be in front of my house by 430. Received a text @ 413 from NAVEED/​My driver… that he would be there in 15m… HE WAS! My fare to Reagan was $ 28.31 + tip… from near 50/​Graham Rd. HAPPY WITH THAT!! Granted, no traffic at that time of the morning. He used a ‘Square’ credit card swiper at the airport… which DEFINITELY SAVED TIME and wallah… I was out the door! The Hybrid Taxi was a QUIET SUCCESS in my book. and NAVEED was an Excellent Driver. I think I may have found a New Taxi Company with GO GREEN!

This review is months over due. I love Go. green cab company. Nibi provided me great service and he was on time. The operator who sets up the ride through text is really nice and caring!!! I love using this company especially when I need to go from DC to Virginia. I will be using their services again, they are reliable.

I work for a food brokerage company and therefore have to travel quite a bit. John had taken me to and from the Sterling Costco from where I was staying in Alexandria — back and forth Saturday and Sunday — he was extremely kind and generous. I also felt very safe — which is why I decided on GoGreen Cab rather than say, Über or Yellow Taxi Service.
Would recommend John and GoGreen to anyone. :)

A very neutral review. Why? Because a GoGreen cab didn’t show up. Instead they sent another company’s cab to fetch me. The driver was very nice and friendly but didn’t know why he was dispatched instead of GoGreen. I don’t know either.
But it is also important to know that the online reservation system for GoGreen is dangerous. You fill out your details such as pickup date, location and time and then click «Reserve.» Instead of providing a confirmation page or email, you are taken back to the homepage at this point. If you typed the wrong date or time or address, it’s just too bad. You won’t find out until you miss your flight. I have never bought or reserved anything online where I wasn’t presented a confirmation page and email or text. With GoGreen, you have to ask for that. Otherwise you just have to have faith. Not very comforting at all, and I’m not sure I’ll use them again.

Excellent experience with GoGreen Cab. Haven’t traveled for years, and was concerned about all the bad reviews I saw for other cab companies. Finally found GoGreen and positive reviews, so I gave them a try. Driver picked me up at 5:30 AM for a trip out of Reagan National. Driver was right on time and very pleasant, car was spotless, ride was smooth and driver picked a smooth route. Will definitely use them again. Try to make your reservation farther in advance if possible. GoGreen is smaller (at this time they may only have about 30 taxis) so they may not always be able to accept your request. What I like is that they will text you to confirm — once you are confirmed then you are good to go.

There have been 57 previous reviews about GoGreen and this is my 5 star experience (hotel/​transport/​dining) from my recent east cost trip.
You can text them, and they are quite responsive (before your trip, arrival at airport, getting luggage). The driver was friendly, respectful, and the trip from Dulles to Alexandria flew by, meaning interesting conversation, relaxed trip, and just a nice experience after flying cross country.
They are as good a «taxi, limo» service as you can find, and are priced quite fairly for the trip. I have taken many taxis, super shuttles etc with some horrendous experiences, and these guys demonstrate what 5 stars should be. I’d be happy in other cities with service ¾ as good as them to give a benchmark.
I told the hotel that they should use them, and am referring my associates, friends, and family in the DC area to them.
Seriously, read the reviews (both about others) and on them. I wouldn’t hesitate on giving them my business going forward. They are GREAT! 5 stars, 100/​100, the BEST!!!

We had a timely and professional driver. We rode from Alexandria to Dulles. As told, he was there 5 minutes prior to schedule. He was pleasant and accommodating. Didn’t get his name, but he was number 342.

This is a small, growing cab company that seems focused on providing a reliable and convenient reservation experience with clean, modern, eco-​friendly cabs. I had a 5-​star experience scheduling the night before for a ride to the airport.

Look no further, GoGreen Cab is the best option for your cab service. John was my driver today and was wonderful. He was very kind and professional. Prior to picking me up, he texted me and gave me updates demonstrating great communication. There was a large traffic buildup, and he kept me updated on his arrival. The car is a hybrid because they are proud on being environmentally conservative, a huge plus in my book. Also, the car was very clean. Throughout the drive, he was engaged into the conversation and was genuinely interested. I’m happy to give my business to GoGreen Cab anytime.

I made a reservation on Monday, 7÷27÷15 at 3:50pm using the online reservation system for my 15 year old needing a ride from his job training program. It was raining really heavily, so I texted my son that I would get a cab and would text him after I received the confirmation. The confirmation never came. I texted them to request the cab a second time and to confirm. Both the online request and the text were ignored. So I called. There was no answer.
So I called another company, which also took so long to show up that the rain had stopped by then and my son was able to walk home. He wound up waiting 50 minutes when I really needed a cab for him (work reasons).
It looks like this is a small business, so if all the drivers were on a run, then at the very least the office should have put that notice up online at the reservation screen, left a voice message on their main phone line, or replied that no one would be available via text.
I’m glad that the other patrons have had great experiences with Go Green Taxi; it’s the reason why I emailed, called, and texted. However, if they are a serious business they must have a dedicated staff that answers the phones, especially when there is inclement weather and business is heavy. If they are unable to meet demand, then call your customers back, and let them know! Or better yet, hire sufficient staff.
The nature of a taxi service is transportation, usually urgent or significant, when a bus won’t do. Understand your customer base. If an Alexandrian has called you for a cab, it is probably to get to/​from work, medical care, the airport, or there is inclement weather. Those are all urgent, time-​sensitive situations for which they are relying on the information the taxi service provides. Be professional.
When my son was going to take your cab he was going to pay with real cash, not monopoly money. So when you say there is a reservation system, then respond your customers.

If I could rate our driver, Nebiyou, 10 stars I would.
I mistakenly left my phone in another companies cab and we went on a long journey to find it.
We were very grateful for his willingness to basically drive to Maryland from Alexandria to find my phone (thank God for tracking apps).
Not to mention, their fleet of cars (ours was a camry) is all hybrid or ‘hybird’ as they call it on their business card, which is a plus.

Booked online. Confirmed via text. Cab never showed. Almost missed my flight with my two year old. So, yea, epic fail.

After being stressed out way too much by an app formerly known as taxi magic, I found an alternative. Able to book online or via text! An app would be great to! I was ready to be picked up earlier than my reservation and Evelyn at dispatch took care of me right away! A cab arrived in less than 10 minutes! Derived was courteous, but not overly friendly. He also knew all the tricks of cutting through Old Town Alexandria to avoid typical lunchtime gridlock!

Excellent experience all around. I spotted the Go Green cabs at the King St Metro with some other local cabs and checked them out on Unilocal for an early ride to Reagan National the next morning. They were closed when I called, so I made an appointment on line. Didn’t hear back, so I texted … Didn’t hear back. Decided to go with another company with a ²⁴⁄₇ dispatcher and texted my cancellation. Then, Evelyn called from Go Green to make sure I got my confirmation. I wasn’t getting her texts, but was so impressed that she called and impressed by their Unilocal reviews that I cancelled the other cab and went with Go Green. The driver was early and courteous, the car clean, and the ride smooth. Go Green will be my first choice every time I need a cab.

Reliable. They confirmed my online reservation for 6:15 am the night before. The cab was on time and called my cell on arrival. The driver confirmed which route I preferred and followed up to see if I needed to schedule a pick up.
I’ll use them again, especially because of the online reservation and confirmation call.

Quite simply, this is the only cab you should be using in Alexandria, especially if you are a Cameron Station resident. Incredibly responsive to reservation requests and the best courtesy in the business.
I used them to go to Dulles recently and back home again. I like the flat fee for CS residents and my on-​line reservation request made from Heathrow at 1 am here was confirmed promptly. I boarded my flight for Dulles with the assurance I would have a cab waiting for me when I cleared customs. No hassle… walk out the door and straight in the cab at curbside. Marvelous!
The only local cab company for me from now on.

One of the best cab services I have ever used — clear communications, prompt pick-​up, superb service and drivers. Could not recommend this cab service more highly — puts other area car services to shame!
Context: Maryland to Reagan ride, 4am pick-​up, international cell phone only, pick-​up address of a new property that doesn’t register on Google maps.
After calling 5 other area cab companies to no avail (seriously inflated prices, no pick-​up from Maryland, no delivery to DC, no confirmation available, unable to book without US number) — I put a request through to GoGreen despite needing a pick up from Maryland, not Alexandria where they are based.
Evelyn wrote back to me within a half hour (this is early morning on a Sunday) and conversed with me via email promptly and clearly.
She gave recommendations on how to call them on an international cell (Viber), and swiftly confirmed a driver with me, assuring me he would be prompt and giving me his cell.
I was then able to confirm my location and also make sure the driver was on his way by texting the driver. GoGreen stayed in communication with me throughout the process — even at 3:30am in the morning to let me know the driver had left to come pick me up.
Mr Ahmad arrived 15 minutes early and also took the time to find an optimal route to take me to Reagan — he was an absolute gentleman and I had a great ride.

I had to go downtown for a 3 days conference and I used GoGreen Cab for most of the rides. I was able to get a cab with only 30 minutes notice. I did most of the communication via text messages. The driver that picked me up on the first day took me on the 395 HOV lane (when there were two of us, 395 HOV is 3+). He said that the law allows taxi with two or more to use the lane. I tried to google this but unable to find it anywhere.
On the way home, I contacted them again. The cab driver texted and told me that he was on his way to pick me up. However, he ended going to a different address. Apparently, the call center gave him the wrong address. It was no biggie for me since there was a cab line outside of the convention center where I was.
I continued to use them the next morning. Why? It was easy to book a ride, they were on time, the cab were clean, and the drivers were friendly. I Unilocaled the other taxi companies in the area and got scared of all the bad reviews. My to and from rides for the rest of my conference was good.
Why only two stars?
Normally I wouldn’t look at the charges on my credit card statement so careful. This time I was on a business trip, I used the company card and needed to file the expense reimbursement report. As most of you know, in order to be reimbursed, the transactions on the credit card must match with my receipt. I found that one particular driver was dishonest. There was an additional 26 cents on one transaction, and 30 cents on the other. Did I mention that I tipped him well too (20−25% of the fare amount). I disputed the charges with amex and now waiting for the credit.
Not all drivers from this company are dishonest, but if you are going to use them, please make sure you keep your receipt and review your credit card statement.

GoGreen Cab is out of Alexandria, and they offer 100% hybrid, environmentally-​friendly cab services to the DC metro region. I am thinking that the GoGreen Cab Company is the most efficient and the most affordable cab service you can get. Emailing and getting a confirmation for the pick-​up time with Evelyn, the ‘command center’ employee, was positive — she was pretty responsive to all my questions and such to making a reservation. The cab driver called when he arrived, and he was actually about 15 minutes early (which I really liked); he was very professional and took a direct route to the airport — all safe and sound! It was about $ 20 one way, so I thought it was pretty good. The cab itself was clean and I appreciated that. When returning from a trip, making another reservation for a pick-​up at the airport is also super convenient — they’ll just pick you up from the private car line rather than the taxi/​limo line — same process with the confirmation, where the contact details of your assigned cab drive and # will be sent to you, and you have a safe ride back home. I highly recommend!
