We are the «Georgetown Auto Service «that originated in Georgetown, Washington D.C. and located on Wisconsin Ave. N.W. Washington D.C. for over 10 years. We are currently operating out of our Virginia location only.

We have a full auto body repair and paint service

We started our business in Georgetown, Washington D.C. and have opened a second location in Alexandria, Virginia across from Potomac yard shopping center /​Del Ray neighborhood, just down the street from Crystal City (metro), only 6 miles from our Georgetown location and about a 10 minute drive as well.

We also offer you a complimentary shuttle service to and from the nearby metro, Georgetown, downtown N.W., Washington D.C. area and surounding VA areas and pick you up when your vehicle is ready.

With such amazing reviews– I had nothing but high expectations. I think in terms of customer service and care– this shop is top notch in that department. They care for sure, but it will cost you. I came in because I was having an issue with my heat and wanted to address a turbo/​diverter valve issue. Since my car had been sitting in the snow, the hood was difficult to pop off. I got a call and Bobby quoted me 200+$ just to take the grill off and pop open the hood to which confused me because I had NEVER had an issue with opening the hood. In fact 30 days prior– the car had just had a timing belt service. He said if he could do it for less, he would. When I arrived, the mechanic who worked on just this part alone had been prompted to say it took him 1.5−2hrs. Emphasis on prompted. The mechanic wouldn’t even come to show me exactly what happened– it was the co-​owner who felt compelled to show me. After questioning again-​Bobby was kind enough to lower the price to 98 $. But I left feeling like i paid them for breaking something that wasn’t broken. I wont return. Nothing personal but this shop doesn’t do it for me.

Having just moved into the area, I was concerned in finding a trustworthy and honest auto repair shop. Georgetown Auto Service was in my neighborhood and the reviews were outstanding. I took my car there and Roberto was professional and courteous from the get-​go. He took the time to explain the issues and recommendations for repair. Prices extremely reasonable and quality of work great! Will be going back for future repairs and highly recommend to all.

I’m a new car owner and I’ve had my share of good and bad experiences with dealerships and privately owned shops, yet when I came to Georgetown Auto Service to top of my oil 15 minutes before closing and was helped and then NOT charged, I have to say that I was sold strictly on the customer service.
ANY business that goes out of their way to assist you and complements with free service or what people refer to as «fair prices.» There is no question their customer service complements their work.
I will most definitely be coming back for all my future car needs. Thank you Bobby until next time!

Bobby is always honest and straight up with me. Tells me things that actually need to be done and doesn’t try to force unnecessary work as add ons. Always asks the right questions to make sure I am doing correct preventative maintenance but never does things without my approval and says «this can be done in 5 – 10,000 miles» not «this needs to be done right now». Very relaxing feeling knowing I can trust an auto body shop with my car and not get scammed or over charged.

Good service by Bobby and his team. I don’t remember the name of the person who did the body work on my car but he was quite good and respectful and kind. Bobby had Ty’s Body Shop across the street do the actual body work. So this positive review is as much for Ty’s as it is for Georgetown Auto Service.

There’s not a grand enough superlative to express how highly I regard Bobby Gonzalez and his crew at Georgetown Auto Service. They are excellent at what they do. They are friendly. They are accommodating. They go the extra distance for you. And there’s the parrot!
When Audi of Alexandria was clueless about how to fix the lemon they sold to me, Bobby stepped in to help, and help, and help. He intervened on my behalf. He did the work they did not know how to do.
If the fix is small, large or in between, not a problem. They will get it repaired. If the problem is a mystery, Bobby will do everything possible to solve the mystery.
Don’t waste your valuable time with sub-​par auto service. Go directly to Bobby. If you live in the DMV, consider yourself fortunate to have Georgetown Auto Service nearby.
I don’t say this lightly: there’s not a grand enough superlative to express my high regard. And then there’s the parrot, too.

Sweet miracles of Heaven — and perhaps there is a chance I might be mistaken — but after several years of patronage, and after great examination and reflection, it has pretty firmly dawned on me that this is THE HOLY GRAIL of automobile repair garages: THEY ARE BOTH HONEST AND COMPETENT. It makes we weep with joy. I feel like I have discovered something sacred and miraculous and unbelievable. This place is fantastic. Came here for a last-​minute oil change and check up to make sure everything was in working order before a road trip. I called the owner Bobby close to closing time and he was really nice about making sure I’d get seen. He’s a friendly, outgoing owner who made me feel like an appreciated customer. The oil change was fast. Plus, he has an adorable parrot in the office. I’ll almost undoubtedly come back for my next oil change or other service.

I have been taking my Chrysler Sebring to Bobby for a year and a half now and I will never go anywhere else. My car has had every type of problem under the sun and Bobby and his team fixed all of them for a fair price. In addition to quickly fixing all of car problems, Bobby has also fixed a bad dent, a taillight, and my windshield sprayers as a courtesy. My car often comes back cleaned on the inside and out. Bobby and his team are friendly, honest, and hardworking. They’re always willing to shuttle me to and from the metro as well. As a transplant to the DC area, it gives me peace of mind knowing that I have found such a great mechanic.

I’m one of those guys that is highly skeptical about everything in life, especially when it comes to repair shops. Needless to say, I have ZERO trust in any dealership to do work on my car. Bobby and his crew have earned my trust. They are great guys and, most importantly, honest people. We’ve all been screwed by repair shops, so when you find one that is trustworthy, you stick with them. Although I have since moved to Bethesda, I will continue to bring my car to Georgetown Auto Service.

Booby and is staff are professional and easy to deal with. I had them replace my radiator on my BMW X5. And the process was wonderful. They were knowledgeable and got the work done quickly. Would recommend them to anyone, also shopping in the DC area, they were by far the cheapest.

I was fretting about bringing my car to a dealership for a routine service that I knew would cost $ 700 or more. So, I decided to take it here seeing the good reviews. They started with the routine oil change and said they would look for anything else that may need service that is included in the routine dealership maintenance (belts, filters, etc). Despite looking, they found nothing, charged me for an oil change (which was about the same price I could have gotten at Jiffy Lube), topped off everything, and that was it.
I am used to mechanics that try to sell you everything under the sun. This isn’t one of those places.

I had small issue with my washer pump and called different auto shop for quote over the phone. Bobby is the only one that gave pretty decent price quote. When I got there, Bobby took care of me right away. He also gave me a discount after all said and done.

Georgetown Auto Service provides quality and affordable work, and excellent customer service. Roberto is particularly friendly and helpful, and really I was impressed with the whole crew.
There is no question that these guys know what they are doing, provide great customer service, and go above and beyond to get the job done affordably.
Because of this, I would recommend them, with only a small caveat – I must admit that I personally would not return to this shop.
Multiple times, they forgot to complete simple services which I had requested (top off coolant, swap out wiper blades, change oil), which then forced me to return to the shop again the next day to have the task completed. That’s a significant inconvenience for me, since I cannot get to work without my car. That this happened repeatedly was unacceptable to me.
Similarly, I experienced issues with the shuttle service, which can be disorganized and frustrating. Once, my shuttle showed up a half hour late. During my wait, I called the front desk lady for help; she was rude and unhelpful, and couldn’t tell me who or what I should be looking for. Another time, I requested a shuttle and it never came.
I’m really torn on this shop, because there’s no question in my mind that they provide great work and are totally trustworthy. If that’s enough for you, then I wholeheartedly recommend this place. But for me, the lapses in the details made my experience frustrating enough to not want to go back.

Quick, responsive, and friendly. The price seemed fair as well. I just had an Oil Change and filter replacement in my Acura (the A1 service light was on) and they had me in and out within an hour. Packed house for being a bit off the beaten path (the only way to get to Randolph is if you’re coming southbound down Route 1 or through Del Ray).
