I called AK’s to make an appointment for lash extensions, which I had bought a groupon for. It was a great deal I thought, $ 79 for eyelash extensions, and a fill at two weeks. Firstly, no one answered the phone the first time I called, so I left a message. Someone who didn’t speak english very well called me back the next day. I told her I wanted to book an appointment for that day, but she said she was too busy, and scheduled me for the next day. I was unable to make the appointment due to a health emergency, and I was in the hospital at the time and could not call to cancel. This was my bad, but when I called about an hour after my appointment time to explain what happened, my plea was met with disdain and rudeness. She told me that I would now not be allowed to make an appointment, and It was explained to me over and over in an unprofessional manner, that I was to come in and wait for an opening. I thought, «whatever, I’ve already bought the groupon, so be it». So, the next day, I showed up at the time I had not only planned, but told the girl I would be there. At first she acted as if she had no idea who I was, and then I reminded her that I had missed my appointment the previous day. Then, for the 10^th time, she recounted how I had missed my appointment, and that I would have to wait for a time when they weren’t busy, out loud and in front of other customers and employees. She had no problem saying all of this rather loudly. Even though she said I had to wait, she ended up taking me right back to the procedure room. She was very ruse during the whole process, and told me several times to «stop moving my eye», which is an involuntary movement, affected by sounds and other stimuli, which there was plenty of, as there were children running about the salon. At one point she left me there on the table for about 15 minutes while I’m assuming she attended to the children. She came back and yelled at me for «opening my eye», even though I had not. The lashes turned out well, though… She charged me $ 10 extra for «long style», but I was nonetheless happy with my purchase. She made out a gift certificate for the fill, and dated it exactly 2 weeks from that day. I explained that I would be out of town, and I needed more time, and she hesitantly extended for one more whole day. Wow.
They looked great for about a week and then started tangling and falling out.
I went back after my trip, hurrying to get things done as I had just returned from a week long vacay. It was very irritating that I had to return exactly when they said. Instead of making an appointment, I walked in. I thought since she had scorned me for missing my first appointment, I might as well just walk in and wait on a slot. The opposite happened, and she yelled at me for NOT making an appointment. I agreed to wait, even though she had an appointment coming in about 10 minutes, but instead, she went ahead and did my fill, rushing the whole time. Repeat first time process of being yelled at for «moving my eyes», being left alone for ringing phone, etc. I left knowing that she had rushed through the process, but honestly, I just wanted to be done with that establishment.
I’m giving them two stars because the initial lash application looked decent, and even though it didn’t last long, I got lots of complements. My experience since then tells me that the «full set of lashes plus fill» was more like a third set of lashes and ¼ fill. Not worth the money or the headache of this place. I will not be returning, and will discourage anyone I know from frequenting this place. The pits.

I got a full set, pedicure and my lashes done. lashes aren’t the best quality. Pedicure was great, can’t say the same for the full set though. They were more worried about their plans for later and rushed through everything they did! 2 of my nails broke not even a week later. I would not recommend this place at all!

My first visit was wonderful and everyone was very polite. I had groupon for eyelash extensions. It included a full set and one fill two weeks later. They gave me the fill in the form of a gift certificate. I completely forgot about the certificate until the day of so I stopped by just to see if there was any way I could get the date extended to the next day (understanding that they might say no, but it couldn’t hurt to ask). Instead of a simple no, I’m sorry the lady nearly bit my head off and just screamed things at me from across the salon. I understand there are language barriers but she didn’t even try to listen to my question about extending the certificate 24 hours she literally just yelled and rambled on about making appointments and god knows what in front of like 5 other people until I just turned and left. I’m not sure what she was trying to accomplish besides losing business. She never did answer my question lol she just yelled a lot. Never going back!

My stylist, who seemed to be the head stylist, completely botched my hair– both the color and the cut. I’m still dealing with the ramifications months later. I do not recommend this place at all!

I’ve visited this nail shop before with a friend because she knew the owner and raved about him. I also knew before going in that the previous owner no longer owned the establishment but what I needed done was super basic. 2 weeks prior I treated myself to a gel mani and now it was time to get the polish removed since it was streaking and coming up. The place was empty when I got there so I knew it’d be a in and out job. What I didn’t know is that id be pressured about another service to the point that I almost walked out. The lady doing my nails asked me 5 times if I wanted to get another gel mani and my reply each time was no that I only wanted the polish removed. Aside from the badgering the other woman there proceeded to ask me if I came in before complimented my hair and begin to rub her hands over it. If you’re reading this please stop and think how weird it is to just touch/​play in someone’s hair that you don’t know. It’s SUPER weird!!! I think I’d be justified in speaking for all women of color with natural hair… ‘DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS IN OUR HAIR!!!’.
I will say that after the woman actually did what I asked for, she did a pretty good job filing and shaping my nails.

Great business. I’ve been coming here for a few months and always get good service. They are all about making sure customer is satisfied.
I just found out today that Every tenth haircut is free! It’s a clean place that serves all customers with care.
I’ll keep coming back and look forward to my free haircut

They are rude and unprofessional! They have a bad case of mistaken identity and when you try to correct them they get rude and hang up and don’t answer when you call back. Don’t give them the time of day! They attitude is way too SHITTY!!!

This place SUCKS! The people are extremely rude. I bought a Groupon last year for 3 manicures and pedicures… used one and then came back after a few months to use the 2^nd one. When i used the first one, they gave me a gift certificate with expiration of 11/​24/​2015 and it says on the certificate that i have 2 more visits left… however, when i went to the place today these rude women told me that they cannot honor this because the management changed and that the deal is for 2 people to come at one time. When i pulled up the groupon to show them, they refused to listen to me and said it is not their problem. I would NOT recommend anyone to go to this place EVER! They are so rude and are BIG Liars! Please don’t go to this place… save yourself the headache. When i asked the girl that i want to speak to the owner, she said i cannot. Then she tore the certificate and trashed it. LIARS!!!

Eyelashes! Eyelash extensions! Amazing, amazing, amazing! Van (Katie) did the most beautiful job on my lashes. She did a great job with not over glueing them and waited for the glue to dry in between so the process took 2 hours. I used a groupon but the prices are so very reasonable. This place isn’t the red door salon but is clean however a bit noisy when in the back room getting your eyelashes done next time I will bring ear plugs.
