I’ve heard about this place for karaōke nights and up until last night(11/21/2015) I stopped by with a few friends. The atmosphere and the crowd reminded me of Midnight Rodeo(back in the day). It was nice. Not bad. I would come back. Although it might take a while to get your drinks, the wait staff was nice and helpful. Just by observance, the crowd seems like they’re a regular there. The cheeseburger with green chili hit the spot. The burger was juicy, savory with buns perfectly toasted, and lightly garnished with fresh veggies. The green chili had a good kick to it. If the burger was good, I say everything on the menu is good.

Came in for a free poker tournament and didn’t plan on eating. I walked in and smelled food so of course I had to try. I did the triple play with jalapeño poppers, buffalo wings, and loaded fries. SOOOOGOOD! The fries were my favorite I almost ordered more! You have to try it and our server Rachel Kicked ass! Thank you so much for working with all of us.

If you are looking for a bar with a relaxing atmosphere, then go to the Effingbar & Grill. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve tried their nachos, the effing turkey sandwich and wings and all we delicious and I would order again. The other customers are always laughing and having a good time. I agree with Jazmine V. it reminds me of the bar from Cheers. Although no one there knows my name, but I’m pretty sure they’re glad I came. It’s a great place to have some fun!

I’ve been coming to this bar off and on for years as its one of the only true bars W of Coors and between I40 and Paseo. Good prices and a cool spot to have a couple drinks. I’ve really never had a bad experience until my last visit. The DJ paged me to the DJ stand while I was waiting for my tab to be closed out one busy Saturday night at this bar… turns out the waitress dropped my credit card in the middle of a packed dance floor. There was little remorse from the guilty party when I confronted her. Thank you for whomever turned it in. Not sure if/when I’ll head back this way–

A good bar to go out for happy hour, the service is decent and the cocktail waitresses are friendly. It’s fun when there’s a DJ or karaōke and everyone dances or sings and it’s a good time. The effing burger is a must try!

I love the Effing Bar mainly because it’s the closest bar to my house. It’s a divey place, which I love. The drinks are cheap, the food is good(love the tacos), and they have a daily special. Karaōke is fun on Thursdays and Saturdays but you better sing or be prepared to hear the same few people sing all night. My main complaint is that this place doesn’t have a bike rack outside. I would come here more often if there was a place to lock up my bike — and in a safe location where it is not likely to be stolen.

Food quality and prices are really surprising – ya gotta try the daily specials. OK, drink prices are a minus, but there’s a half-off $ 10 coupon available that should help offset that problem. It’s worth the trip to the westside to try this place. After all, it is the best Effing Bar(& Grill) in town!

I’ll be back! While I haven’t gotten to try their food yet, the atmosphere reminds me of Cheers. It’s a place where I could quickly become a regular. The drinks were decently priced(especially the specials) and I loved the music playin’ on the jukebox!

Overpriced. $ 6 for a Stella draft? After two visits, the only thing dive-y about this bar is the grouchy, impersonal service and the atmosphere. Would not recommend. At least not for the drinks. I didn’t try the food.

I love this place– it’s the quintessential dive bar. Not to mention it’s less than a mile from my house so it’s convienent. The food is good for a bar– not 5 star gourmet but definitely palatable. I like their effing nachos(enough to feed 5 people!) and the effing sandwich as someone else mentioned. They also have a great Sunday breakfast special– 2 for 1 breakfast burritos and huevos rancheros. Add a bloody mary or a beer and it can’t be beat for Sunday football…

Went to Effing Bar last Friday night to redeem my groupon. While I understand that it was a Friday night and busy — it took almost an hour and a half to get our food. We ordered drinks as well — and those took about 20 mins to get. When we FINALLY got our food — the salad was a plate of lettuce and a few fixin’s, an Effing Sandwich w/onion rings — pretty good minus the couple fatty pieces I got, and a $ 5 fish special — which was totally rubbery. Needless to say, won’t be going back here for food..

Local Dive Bar with great food. Try the Effing Burger it’s one of the better burgers in town hands down.
