Our location in the center of Albuquerque makes it easy to get anywhere. We are close to downtown, the Convention Center, University of New Mexico, hospitals, Botanic Garden and zoo, and we’re just north of Route 66. Old Town is just 10 minutes from the airport.
This 1910 home on the National Historic Register still has the original hardwood floors, pressed-tin ceilings and many architectural details while offering modern amenities.
History
Established in 1989.
The Bottger Mansion was built as a family home in 1910. It later became a boarding house and its guests include Machine Gun Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Janis Joplin. Many businesses have operated here, such as a restaurant, grocery store, art gallery, shops, and hair salon. It was gradually turned into a bed & breakfast a room at a time. At one point the décor was quite Victorian, but it now celebrates the wonderful history of Albuquerque.
Meet the Business Owner
Steve H.
Business Owner
Steve is a New Mexico native but has lived all over the country, and Kathy grew up in southern Delaware. We met in California while in the service, and completed our military tours of duty in northern Japan. After the service, we both attended the University of New Mexico. Our careers have taken us to New Hampshire and Oregon, and our travels have taken us to other countries as well. We are thrilled to be back in New Mexico, and we would love to help you discover the delights of Albuquerque.
