There’s always an excellent selection of used toys in good condition here. When I’ve been in, the store’s been staffed with nice young people. One thing you should know is they are closed for most of January, so call before you run there at the last minute on your way to a January birthday party, or you will be adding in an unplanned detour to Five Little Monkeys down the street.

This place is awesome. I’m surprised to read the negative reviews. I had my kids with me and had no issues with anyone saying anything to them. What’s more the lady even helped me by suggesting a couple of consignment shops and the gentleman answered all of my questions and helped me look for a couple of books. I think they have an awesome selection and really good prices. I will definitely be going back soon sans les enfants!

I have been a customer of this wonderful store for 21 years. All 3 of my children, now ages 10 – 21, have enjoyed buying toys and later re-​selling them here. Every time I come in the owner asks about how my kids are doing. I love that personal touch! This is a magical place with excellent quality toys, a lot of variety and it is run by very nice people!

I had a lovely interaction w/​the two young women who were working today, so I’m not sure what all the neggy reviews were about. Plus the store seemed really well stocked and they were very clear with me explaining the consignment policy. I wish I’d known about this place sooner!

I love love love this store. It is run by such a sweet family and has awesome toys. We have been coming regularly for years and my kids run into the store and play with all of their toys. They are incredibly kind and gracious (not to mention patient) about all of the messes that we make.
I really like the fact that we can bring stuff that the kids never play with to sell on consignment, and then we are able to build credit to buy things that they actually will use.
This store is wonderful!

Every time I call they are helpful and friendly and I can almost always find what I want in the large selection of used but not abused toys.

We’ve been going here for years, but after a recent very negative experience, I’m not sure we’ll be back due to poor customer service. We have sold my son’s toys back here for years, and the store credit has been my son’s to use for occasional treats. This time, I stopped in, picked out a few things, and asked about my balance. I was told that I had almost $ 100 of EXPIRED credit. I wasn’t even aware that store credit could expire, and neither did any of the other customers I talked to afterwards. There is no sign posted about this. I’ve asked for my balance many times, and no one has ever mentioned anything about this. The manager refused to give me any of my son’s credit back. He was rude and totally inflexible. People like this just shouldn’t be working in customer service, especially around kids. Really too bad.

I called and asked if they had a particular item. The guy on the phone listed what they had by brand, and gave their prices. He didn’t even need to put me on hold to do this. I went down, saw the items, picked what I wanted (which was rather large). The guy who works there picked it up and put it in my car and away I went! Easy peasy… and I’ll be back!

I’m continually surprised at the horrible customer service they offer. I agree with the other reviews, that they are unhelpful, grumpy and generally don’t seem to actually like people or kids. They seem to not want my children there and I just called to get my balance on my account and they told me I needed to come by in person … why?! Doesn’t it take the same time to look it up whether I’m there or not? If this was the only thing, I’d overlook it but they are ALWAYS cranky and unfriendly in every interaction I’ve had with them. I recommend going to 5 Little Monkeys or even Target to get your toys.

Purchasing pokemon cards and doll clothes are the reasons to visit. Service is questionable but the stuff is decent.

Best toy store around! Family owned and an awesome set-​up. Love coming in here since I was little and now I take my son. Wonderful atmosphere, very fair prices, always helpful and my first stop for any toys new or vintage! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic toy store!

Am very supportive of the idea of this store – recycling toys make so much sense! Just think of the enormous amount of packaging that is spared! I actually bought a weird toy there for my son for 5 bucks that I later sold on ebay for $ 300. I’ve also brought back countless new and used toys for resale and have just been happy to pass them on rather than delegate them to the dumpster. The owner and her staff are a bit brusque but I would probably be too if I were in this business.

Toy Go Round provides a wonderful service to the community by selling on consignment used toys that would otherwise go to the landfill. Kids who are getting older and their parents get to make some cash and clean out their garages and closets, while younger kids and their parents have a chance to buy perfectly good toys at great prices.
There are some reviews here about grumpiness and lack of courtesy. I have always found the staff here (both mother and son) to be friendly and kind.

I’ve been shopping at Toy Go Round for over 20 years. First for my children and now for my grandchildren. Amazing selection of both used and new toys, games, costumes, sporting goods, books etc. And everything is in excellent condition. Many items seem new, even when they are sold at half the retail price as they are used. I can’t speak highly enough about TGR!

I have been coming to this store for 25+ years, the concept can’t be beat and the offerings are amazing. I will take one star away for what other reviewers have complained about: the workers grumpiness, I don’t expect it to be Disneyland «it’s a small world» like, but a little bit more courtesy would be welcome.

I like what they offer.

1) Why sell toys if you’re a grumpy, miserable wretch?
2) Let me ask my question, don’t interrupt me with your ASSumptions.

Like one of the reviewers below, we were treated rudely by the employee with grayish black hair and spectacles.
I had a purchase that came to $ 9, but being end of day was out of cash, with two very hungry little kids (2 and 4) whom I needed to get home (I’d promised them we could pick up the bath toys my older daughter liked).
Despite the fact that we’ve spend hundreds of dollars here over the past few years, the employee grumpily told me that I had to spend $ 10 for a credit card purchase, and that $ 9 wouldn’t cut it. I had my hands full with the kids and told her we’re in a hurry because the kids are hungry, but have spent lots of money here and will continue in the future if she helps us out here. She just barked back at us, «sorry, owner’s policy.» She didn’t suggest anything, or otherwise even try to be helpful. My daughters were on the edge of hunger meltdown so we had to run, but were very upset and confused about why we couldn’t get the bath toys.
I told her that if she’s going to be this inflexible and I leave without the toys, I’m never coming back. She said that was fine with her. Wow — nice customer service… This employee belongs in a funeral parlor (or perhaps a post office), not a toy store!
I do my best to support local businesses, but not when they treat long-​time customers so rudely. Note to owner: from the reviews below, it seems like we are not the only customers who this employee has treated rudely. Your other employees have been very nice in the past. We highly suggest getting rid of the grumpy one — she just doesn’t belong in a toy store!

I went to a toy store in SF a couple of days ago. Everything was ridiculously precious. I was terrified my 2 year old wold break something. It was actually stressful! Then, we went to charming Solano Avenue and found this toy store. It’s hands-​down the best toy store I’ve ever discovered. They have EVERYTHING from cool modern dollhouses, to vintage dolls, and legos. I loved it. My daughter loved it and it wasn’t the least bit precious. This is a toy store for kids and adults. Thank you!

Toys Go Round is such a cool place. So if somebody think is a place for babies? WRONG!
There also have cool collection that are so totally rare. That how I got some of my rare collection. So if ya looking for thinks like that, this is the place. Even your kids would enjoy it too, like you do. There’s both new and use stuff. Of course I usually got the unused stuff. And I love it to death. This is the place for both adults and kids.
