I know this is a busy time of the year and with the recent change in weather this is the time to get some good use out of the fire place. Shawn was on time, he didn’t waste anytime getting the chimney cleaned out. He is also very knowledgeable about the type of fireplace we have and the best firewood to use. He was patient and took the time to answer and clarify my questions for me. I found the best communication was through email in which I received a prompt response each time. I would recommend Chimney Masters to anyone in need of this service. And I am already enjoying my fireplace.

I’m sure Shawn does a fantastic job at cleaning chimneys. Unfortunately, I will never know because in 2 ½ months of emailing back and forth, he never made it out.
Shawn kept coming up with last minute excuses not to follow through with the chimney sweep. First he couldn’t make it out, then he was ill, his brother in-​law was on life support and finally, he decided not to show up or call all together.
It’s just frustrating because when I schedule these appointments, I have to get help from my mom to watch my kids.

I am yet another Groupon customer that bought chimney cleaning services (on 11÷20÷14) and despite back and forth emails and promises to call me to schedule an appointment has not bothered to call. So disappointed as I wanted to have this done for the holidays. Not happy…

I also purchased a groupon for a chimney cleaning service, and it was impossible to schedule anything. I sent multiple emails and also left phone messages, and it took me about 5 tries to get anything resembling a response that they would not be available until 5 weeks later. I don’t think one should have to wait 5 weeks to redeem a groupon, nor to have to resort to unreliable email communication that doesn’t really help in the appointment scheduling process. That first appt was cancelled by the vendor on the day of the appt.
after 2 months of this, I had to request a refund of my Groupon.
Other people had better experiences, but mine was not good.

Shawn is the consummate professional. He came into my house, assessed the problem, told me exactly what was the issue was and how he recommended fixing it. There was no B. S with Shawn, no overly sales pitch, which I’m sure like most of you is a major turnoff when deciding to hiring someone for their services. Needless to say I hired Shawn to fix the issue with my chimney and I am happy to say that my chimney is still in great working order and has been for some time now. I highly recommend Shawn and his company Chimney Masters.

I had been having water getting into my fireplace & also figured that it probably needed to be cleaned. I was refereed by a friend to Chimney Masters. I talked with Shawn the owner. He set up an appointment to be there in 2 days. He showed up on time, looked at fireplace & determined that it did not need to be cleaned. Wow! I wasn’t expecting that. There had not been a chimney cap on the fireplace so that is how water was getting in.
Shawn quoted me a very reasonable price & installed a new one in about an hour.
Shawn also painted the inside of my fireplace it looks awesome now Thanks!

Shawn is great! Very professional when he got here. Took a look up my chimney, told me that other than spider webs there was no need to clean it! He was also able to tell me that despite my house having been build in 1930, somewhere along the way the chimney had been repiped, I think that’s the term he used. He told me to use it and give him a call in a year and he’d still honor the Groupon Coupon that had expired. Nice guy, would definitely recommend him and have actually done so.
My only negative is that he prefers email as his form of communication, not phone calls or text messages. He’s very quick to respond to emails, but for one who communicates a lot by text. Also, I can’t help but think those who don’t use computers regularly… well you get it.

Shawn did a great job cleaning my chimney and telling me about some necessary repairs. Since I was not at home at the time, he called me and sent me an e-​mail describing the problems he found. He spoke with a «handy man» that was at my house and explained what needed to be fixed. I found Shawn to be honest, and scheduling a time with him was done quickly. He also left the area around the fireplace clean, which hasn’t always happened. I highly recommend Shawn from Chimney Masters.

Shawn went way above and beyond installing a damper and spark arrest on my 1930 chimney. He had to come up with a creative solution as my chimney top is twice as large as normal. His idea works great.
He was thorough and honest and gave me the best deal he could. He came out 3 times and was always cheerful and helpful. He helped me see the wood I was burning wasn’t optimal and suggested other better burning wood.
I would recommend him without reservation to anyone wanting any chimney work done, from cleaning to installation.

I cannot review Shawn work because he did not have to clean my chimney but I would like to praise his honesty. I just moved with my family and by safety wanted to have the chimney cleaned. I had a Groupon to clean it, Shawn came to clean but he right away told me there was no need and advised me to get reimbursed without asking for anything.
For me having a somebody doing a great job is important but knowing I can count on the honesty of that person is even more important. I would highly recommend to use his service.
