The Computer Ward

Jimmi retrieved my lost data, educated me on the use of my new Mac, transferred data to it, and has been quick and efficient and inexpensive every time I’ve used him. It’s always an emergency when tech stuff doesn’t work or data gets lost, and Jimmi comes usually within 24 hours to your home and does what you need while you watch.

I called about fixing the screen on my iPhone 6. They didn’t have the part in stock so the guy said «I can call and have it in a few days.» It was too long for me to wait so I said «thank you, anyway.» He hung up on me then. RUDE!

My husband and I have been VERY happy with all of the work that Jimmi Ward has ever done for us.
We have always felt that he always seemed to have our best interests at heart, rather than how he could make the most profit, and he has saved us a lot of money, by always trying to think of less expensive alternatives, to keep us set up with a good functioning laptop, any time that he could.
I felt bad for him, when I just saw that he got really bashed by someone over work on a smashed phone, that he had been trying to retrieve data from for someone, and been unable to, which took longer than expected, and the person was charged $ 40 by Jimmi, for his efforts.
Well, all I can say, is when you go to a doctor for an exam, you are charged a fee, for the exam, whether they are able to cure you or not.
Jimmi, in my opinion, works very hard long hours, and he has to earn enough to live on.
Having worked on many jobs myself, I always used to say, «Take the longest length of time that you can imagine it taking, and then multiply by three, and you usually will be close to how long the job is going to take to get done.»
Knowing Jimmi Ward, as I do, I would imagine that he was trying hard to retrieve the data, and didn’t want to give up on managing to do that for the customer, and that is why it took so long.
That he failed, is just sometimes the way it goes. But, based on how hard he has always worked on our laptop, I can’t imagine him not doing the same thing for all of his customers.
The gentleman then said that, «He then took his phone to some other repair place, where he was told, to, „post a really bad review in here about Jimmi Ward, and tell people to go to him instead.“?»
To me, that sounds like a competitor, who just managed to convince a new customer to give him some free advertisement, and bash his competitor for him at the same time.
There are REASONS why almost ALL of the other reviews about Jimmi Ward are ALL five stars. He is, in my opinion the BEST computer repair guy my husband and I have ever encountered anywhere.
I completely endorse him to everyone I know, without any hesitation whatsoever.
I am an On-​sSite Mgr. at an apartment complex, and I tell all of my tenants to go to him. Nuff said.

Jimmi is the best! Within 48 hours I had a bigger hard drive installed, new anti-​virus software, and a super fast n clean running Mac. This guy knows his stuff and his expertise is stellar. Fast and courteous service with a smile! Highly recommended!

It just keeps getting better for us, Computer wise, since we started doing business with the Computer Ward. My husband now has a Macbook Pro which was reconditioned/​rebuilt by Jimmi. We were shopping around, and considered several options, as we were saving up for a major purchase. Then Jimmi helped us find a used one, and gave us a great deal to customize it for my husband. YAY! No more waiting to save enough, as it ended up costing MUCH less. He even beefed it up more than we expected, surprising us with some new and updated applications without charging extra. Now we each have our own Mac laptops. Something I never imagined we could afford. Thanks to JImmi’s expertise and advise, we were not stuck buying a bran new one. We can each have our own instead of sharing, or settling for a tablet. Our MacBooks are each better than the new one my friend just bought, and he paid more than double what we paid the Computer Ward. SCORED! another bonus: we were able to leave a smaller footprint with this purchase. I admit, it always feels kinder to the environment to recycle/​reuse!

Jimmi is an undercover asshole, the worst kind. I brought him my phone after it had been run over, and it wouldn’t turn on. I was hoping he could recover data from it, i.e. photos, etc. He said he had seen worse, and that there might still be hope. He said it may take 2 – 3 days tops, over the weekend. After 5 days, I called to see what the deal was, he didn’t answer, & didn’t get back to me. I called the next day, & left another message. This time he called back, saying it hadn’t worked yet, but to give him another few days to try. I agreed, but all the while my carrier insurance wanted me to send the old phone back so they wouldn’t have to charge me for my new one. I had told him this, that it was time sensitive. After 10 days I called him again, no answer, no call back. The next day I called again, & left another message… nothing. The next day i called again, & left another message like wtf is up??? .He later called back apologizing saying it hadn’t worked, and I arranged to go pick it up finally. He still tried charging me $ 40, for «running it through some programs,» or some bullshit, after he had originally quoted me at $ 50 if he was able to recover anything, which he didn’t, and it had been damnear 2 weeks! I reluctantly gave him all I had brought, which was $ 30, and brought the broken phone to another expert, who told me Jimmi hadn’t done anything, only maybe plugged it in to a computer, which I had already tried & it hadn’t worked. The new expert had ordered a part for it, which he said was the only way we could get any data from it. After we tried to fix it, and it still didn’t work, he said sorry he couldn’t help, DIDN’T CHARGE ME, and said I should write this review about sleazy Jimmi. So here it is… the truth. Go to Shakeel in south sf if you want honest, professional, timely service from someone who actually cares.

Was Unilocaling to find a help to fix my son’s 4 months old Alienware computer with full of viruses. Saw Jimmy’s reviews on The computer ward and decided to call him. appointment was made same day and he quote me a very reasonable price and time frame to fix it. after 2 days I got my son’s computer back and it is fully clean and he even took an extra step to help me set up a new virus protection and guide me how to set up and use it. I know now I have a friend in fixing computers business… The Computer Ward. you rock!!!

Jimmi helped me with my computer, as I am technologically lazy, and don’t care to transfer things to a new one or do other stuff like that and would rather pay someone else to.
Not only was he quick and thorough, but he explained everything to me and is so friendly and accommodating, you almost feel badly and want to give him more money just for being such a nice guy.
He’s also a pretty good guitar player and amazingly patient and great with kids and my daughter has loved taking guitar lessons from him.
All around salt of the earth kind of guy.

Our iMac was dead, dead, dead — blaring off alarms that sounded like a Ratchet and Clank bomb about to explode. We were getting the gray screen of death. It was not responding to any of the shortcuts to get to a screen where I could even hope to use the start up CD… Jimmi was literally there in minutes and fixed our computer and saved ALL my babies’ photos and videos as well within a day and a half. Awesome!

Ordered an iPhone 5c replacement screen form Jimmi and upon installing it ran into problems with the speaker and camera. Within a day I got a new part swapped with no problems at all. Awesome doing business with you, will come back next time I drop my phone!

Jimmi was not only PROFESSIONAL, but a joy to learn from. He even came over to fix my kooky laptop. Now that is what you call GREAT Service! Certainly saved me money and time. Will continue to use him and his services. Thank you!

The Computer Ward — Jimmi Ward took a mess of spaghetti and programs that were not working together and not only got into the back of the gear’s circuit board but also made the programs work together seamlessly. Jimmi is AWESOME! I accidentally stepped on my laptop and cracked the screen and was really upset because i (for once) didn‘t get insurance on my new computer. Anyway, the store warranty just ran out and i started researching how much it would cost to fix the screen. Then I remembered a long time friend of mine was in the computer repair «bizz» and called Jimmi. He had my screen ordered within 2 days and he even picked my computer up. I had my computer back within 3 – 4 hours of him picking it up. I now have a WAY BETTER SCREEN (Easier on the eyes), a free upgrade and he defraged my computer. It‘s AWESOME. I am one happy camper. Thank you Jimmi. Anyone need work done… Jimmi is your MAN!

I have used several computer guys in the past and none compare to Jimmi! his knowledge, attitude and willingness to travel and help even if only to answer a question on the phone tops the BEST of the BEST!!! I’d recommend him overall to anyone needing computer help on ALL platforms!!!

I was having a very ruff time with my computer and Uncle Jimmy fixed it as good as new!

I’m a writer so can’t help writing a good review when it deserves one. Jim got my new computer screen fixed fast and well, and kept me posted with phone calls when it looked it was gonna take a little longer than expected. And he picked it up at my place and delivered it which the apple genius bar sure as heck wasn’t gonna do (for a hundred dollars less than their quote.) Yay! I’ll be back.

I was having problems starting up my HP desktop PC and Jim came over to my house within an hour of me sending him a request through his website. He had the machine back up and running within 20 minutes, told me what was going on (old house, old wiring, was causing voltage spikes and caused the power unit in the PC and the mother board to reset), and advised me on an easy way to resolve the problem permanently (UPS Power unit available from Best Buy). All this for a low, set diagnostic fee which included on site evaluation! Awesome! I will definitely call Jim again for any future issues with my PC. THANKS JIM!

Ahhh computer problems— no fun at all. Life seems to stop when the computer and system fail. But BUT… Getting my computer and system back to being BETTER THAN BEFORE was as easy as a call to The Computer Ward! I JUST called Computer Ward less than 2 hours ago because my external hard drive died on me and I needed someone to recover all my data asap, because its for my business. James has been VERY accommodating!
He has fantastic pricing and his knowledge is extensive! He made some great recommendations for a new external drive AND for a home backup system. I’m moving forward with everything.
He is squeezing my request in for me today, since I cannot do much work without access to all my client files. I should have my new drive with all my data on it by sometime this evening! I couldn’t be more thrilled with his service, pricing and expertise! I highly recommend him!
