Quinn is wonderful! We were in email contact for a couple of years before getting serious. He talked us through the process (first-​time buyers), started sending us listings, we asked for a private showing of one we liked, and about a month later we moved in. Beating out multiple other offers in our ideal area at a time of very low inventory. Unheard of. After actively looking for a home in Alameda for over 2 years, I was proud of my longstanding ‘Agent Free’ status. Local Brokers that I met at open houses courted me, and some even tried to have me sign exclusivity agreements in exchange for exclusive ‘off the market property’ opportunities ‘. Call me a pessimist, but I am skeptical of such claims. I have been studying the market with a watchful eye for years, and attended hundreds of open houses.
However, being a serious buyer in need of a house, I also needed representation when the time came to put an offer in on a home. I had been in regular email contact with Quinn over the course of a year discussing and analyzing the local market. Even with my Zillow, Redfin, Realtor and Trulia apps on my phone set to Alarm, Quinn was able to ferret out listing early in the week. Quinn is the antithesis of the high pressure, slick real estate agent. He is down-​to-​earth, honest, and responsive. He was amazingly patient with us. We were looking in San Leandro and he knew the market very well, as well as knowing a lot about the quirks and potential of the typical SLO house built in the 30s and 40s. Quinn’s expertise is clear when you do a walk-​through with him; very thorough, he had already flagged for me virtually every issue our home inspector later identified. I always felt he had my best interests at heart; he steered us away from a house that, in retrospect, would have been a major mistake. Highly recommend.

We called Quinn because we wanted sell our home in Oakland, and move into a quieter, safer neighborhood. When we bought our house eight years, prior, moving out of our little apartment, it had all seemed relatively easy. Now, faced with the task of packing up all most of our stuff, putting the house in the best condition to show it, and moving into a new house, it all seemed next to impossible, especially with five cats!
Quinn put us at ease. He explained that we would negotiate a rentback and then do our best to get a bid accepted on a new house. He wisely advised us to have a back-​up plan, but that he felt the market was on our side as sellers.
Not only did the house sell quickly and easily, but we got more than we could have imagined for our little Oakland hills house. On top of that, Quinn negotiated an amazing 90 day rentback, so we’d have plenty of time to shop for our new house.
It turns out we didn’t need it — our very first offer was accepted on our dream house in San Leandro, the day after our previous house closed!
We got just what we wanted, and I can’t imagine the process being any easier. He was responsive, thoughtful, and thorough at every step. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone considering buying or selling a house in the East Bay.

We bought our house in San Leandro and went with Quinn because of his knowledge of the area. Quinn made sure that everything was in order, and we never felt like something would slip through the cracks. He even reminded us to sign up for utilities. The best part about Quinn is that he never rushes you and is very patient to let you ask all sorts of questions. In addition he is quite dedicated and will push those extra hours to make things go smoothly when needed. In the end we closed a day early, without really having to stress about things getting done.

If you’re looking to sell your place, Quinn is your guy! He’s super easy to work with, honest and just a down right good person. We didn’t want to work with someone that was all business or be treated like we were just another client and at the same time we wanted to get the most that we could for our condo. Quinn helped us accomplish all of that, and even offered to hold our 1 month old and clean up or place for the open houses. He also works with an awesome photographer that will make your place look like a million bucks for the MLS!

Quinn worked on the terms of our deal and gave us attention at 10:35 P.M. on vacation, while out of the country, ON CHRISTMAS EVE. That should say enough about his dedication to his clients and his work ethic, but I will go go on.
Quinn is a rare talent in the world of Real Estate. He hired a cleaning crew, window cleaner, and a professional photographer to create the most appealing look possible for his clients. Now that we are buyers, we miss having people like Quinn even more on both sides of the buying/​selling spectrum. Quinn is honest and forthcoming in his opinions, diligent, and business savvy in making the selling process as painless and easy as possible.
We are now discovering that in a hot market listing agents will purposely make it a dreadful experience for no reason at all (list low… accept all offers and then counter at $ 50k over list two days later). We wish there were more people out there like Quinn that could take an honest and efficient approach to the market on behalf of both buyers and sellers in the transaction.

From the first time we met, he put us at ease about the home buying process. My husband was overly excited about every home we saw and I was overly cautious — if we had been left to our own devices, we may have never come to a decision. Quinn was a great agent and talked us through each of the homes we looked at. He was laid back, low pressure, and very knowledgable about the local market. He provided excellent guidance on how to get the home we wanted while taking care to provide balanced feedback by pointing out things that we should keep in mind.
We found a home we both loved and Quinn helped us submit an offer with a 21-​day close (that happened to span both Christmas and New Year’s). Quinn was able to get various inspectors (general inspector, roof inspector, electrician, pest inspector) scheduled in record time. As I write this review, I do so in the comfort of my first home. I would not be sitting here in this property had it not been for Quinn Stone. When my wife and I were looking at agents to help us buy a house we were worried about meeting that «traditional» real-​estate agent who would smooth-​talk and pressure-​pack just to get his/​her clients into the first available sale. When we met Quinn, all of our concerns were put to rest.
Quinn has a thorough and deep knowledge of Alameda (and the East Bay), which is what directed us to him at first, but his steady, calm, and patient attitude is what kept us working with him. There was never any pressure placed upon us and he took our desires and wish-​lists fully to heart. Throughout the home-​searching and buying process, Quinn was always there via email and phone to go over properties that would come available and he always found time to meet with us to show the potential purchase. He directed us away form some that he knew weren’t the best options even though it meant losing a potential sale, and patiently listened to us to make sure that we were truly happy before we put in an offer.
